From the guys waiting to greet me at the bag drop area, to the people inside the pro shop during check-in were all cordial and helpful. The scenery was amazing, and we encountered a few good sized gators along the shore lines. All in all it was a great experience. They also had very nice golf shirts, hats and attire. Whoever picks out the clothing there has great taste. I will be going back to play this amazing course.

Oddly, no scorecard on the carts. The netted driving range area for warm up was pretty cool. The course itself was in great condition, fast greens, and forgiving fairways. Obviously, the less people you're splitting the bay between, the more time you'll spend hitting. We paid for 2 hours ($50/hour, $100 total, $25/person) and were able to take practice shots for about 30-45 minutes and then play 4 holes. The service is great! Our bartender brought food/drinks directly to our bay and put college basketball on the TVs behind our bay upon request, and was very friendly. The beer was cold and the wings were delicious. I recommend everyone checks The Cave out at least once. Especially fellow locals that typically hibernate from golf during the winter because of tee time cost/availability. Gonna be great in the summer too when you need a break from the summer heat. My only 2 recommendations for ownership, both very minor; first, upgrade the sound system. It doesn't have to be fancy, just a couple speakers on either end of the building or bar, but music coming from the TV speakers wasn't ideal. Second, toss your wings in sauce instead of serving sauce on the side.

No discussion just his admonishment to me. As I'm not a member there I wasn't familiar with their dress code. I actually started with it in but after 5 holes and 95° heat I untucked it, cooler that way. Additionally, I always carry a ball mark repair tool in my pocket and use it. As he was going off on me about the ball mark I was wondering if I actually made a mark. I'm usually good about repairing but could have missed that one. So sorry Mr. Strickland, perhaps I'm just a SLACKER. Your course isn't that nice anyway and way overpriced. Don't worry this SLACKER won't be back.
