I've been investing with Fidelity for over a decade…read more My pension from another job is held and managed through them and my current employer 401k is as well. I've opened a few other investment accounts through them in the past few years and have worked with some of their wealth management advisors to come up with a game plan. I am not the kind of person who spends hours researching or reviewing stocks. Nor do I want to be. So I appreciate the Fidelity tools and website that provide information and analysis. Their app is easy to use. The website is also easy. And trading and selling stocks and transferring money around from outside accounts is easy as pie. Today, I met with my new advisor, Josh in their new shiny Virginia Beach office right across the street from West Elm. First, the inside is spotless and modern with iPads and brochures and tons of seating. I was offered a coffee or tea while I waited. Parking is easy with a few parallel street spots in front or the garage across the street with free two-hour parking. Josh listened, he took notes, he reviewed my accounts and we discussed my goals for investment, retirement and growth. I have some homework and we plan to meet again to discuss. Overall, I'm very happy with this initial meeting and the new location in Town Center is easy and convenient! Prior to this their closest office location was Richmond.

Not one manager has attempted to call me back. Trying to steal about $9000 from me. On the fifth call they told me oh you need to fill out the application. I didn't fill out an application for you to take my money. I closed an account with Robert Hancock two days after my first call to Fidelity. I got that money last week no problem. Fidelity is stealing. Still no manager has contacted me. Calling the BBB.

Wouldn't go here again! Joshua is very rude, unprofessional, condescending and pushy. We had been…read moregoing here to get our taxes done for many years but now Joshua says CLP will only do your taxes if you also pay for financial planning through them and buy their life insurance, invest, etc. CLP started out as a good tax place but now they want to jump into financial planning and turned their back on their old tax clients. Joshua is very immature, arrogant and ignorant. We asked him a few financial questions last year and he didn't know the answers so he just made stuff up and lied to us. We would be better off to get financial advice from Ronald McDonald than this clown Joshua. Beware, don't get scammed and don't waste time trying to get this place to do your taxes if you don't also want to shell out money for financial planning, investments, insurance and all too. I did further research to find that no one working at CLP is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Hampton Roads which means they aren't even "Certified Financial Planners." H&R Block said CLP tax advisory/financial has setup a terrible business model for their tax accountants to require their clients to pay for financial planning as a condition to get their taxes filed. Got a letter in the mail on 2/2/18 saying "Dear Tax Client" we regret to inform you that tax preparation services are now reserved for financial and insurance clients... you would be better served with another tax preparer. They couldn't tell me that on the phone when I called last month. Hmm... so this place thinks their Certified Public Accountant are better at financial planning and insurance options than my experienced Certified Financial Planner at Financial Security Group? Show me an associate with CFP credentials here at CLP. :::Crickets drops mic:::
