But it's nestled into the river valley that you can't even tell you are minutes from the town of Devon. There are great long-term spots, week or just weekend but book early because the campground does fill up. You can cancel within 48 hours of your date with a small penalty so that's a nice option. The campground is close to the river and hiking trails so make sure to bring a swimsuit and boots in order to take in all the activities! Otherwise sit around the fire (you can buy firewood at the front) and enjoy your getaway!

There was about 90 people coming (some camping and some just coming for the day). I was skeptical about any place accommodating that many people, but this place had a huge area. Rented a gazebo that had a mini kitchen with fridge and counters, as well as a huge fire pit in the middle, along with lots of benches. There is a big grassy field (and I mean BIG) to do lots of activity, as well as a small playground for the kiddies. You can either camp with tents or if you bring a trailer there is hook ups for water, power and toilet. And if you run of out supplies, you're practically in the town of Devon, so the grocery store is only about 3 minutes drive away. The biggest bonus is it being pretty much in the town of Devon, yet you feel like you're camping out int the mountains. As well, being only about 20 minutes from Edmonton (15 or so from Spruce Grove), you don't have to drive far. If people don't want to camp, they can just drop in for the day, lots of visitor parking.

affordable, comfortable, and safe!…read more stayed here a couple weeks for business. don't let the "motel" throw you off. it seemed to me actually more like a decent hotel. the staff is extremely likable and friendly and really help in making it feel like home. there are cameras throughout the entire property inside and outside so your guaranteed safeness. housekeeping is really good at what they do and all my personal belongings were always where they were. there are vending machines in the lobby offering you beverages, tuna, chips, humus, anything fast and convenient really. washer and dryer located inside the building. and breakfast is served everyday in morning inside the breakfast area in which it is only open for guests in the am hours. wifi is free, go ahead and connect thorough Motel6. the location is pretty central to Edmonton having it be only 20 minutes away. I appreciate the light shade of green paint. It's very subtle you don't even notice that it's green until you really look. As you walk further into the room, there's a nice size closet at the back and an updated bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and size of the bathtub. Even in the most posh hotels, the bath tub usually is something to be desired. I was so excited and just extremely exhausted from the long road trip that I used to lovely honey conditioning shampoo as a bubble bath. The water was the perfect temperature. The tile around the bath was very interesting to look at. It felt like a spa. The towel floor mat was folded to hold the shampoo and soap. It made it very inviting. I really enjoyed the style of the toilet and the sink. Made it feel very updated. It's not perfect, somebody got nail polish on the sink, but it added to the artistic character of the bathroom. Don't take it off. It looks fun. The beds are spring, but comfortable. There's a refrigerator and a microwave, so leftovers and other perishable items can be stored in the refrigerator. And leftovers later heated in the microwave. I didn't know what to expect, but pleasantly surprised. Well done. very artistic.
