The park is very well kept and a great place to take a short hike or get a little exercise. The park also offers a viewing blind for birdwatching or scoping out animals. Overall a really cool nature preserve in State College Pa.

The white and blue trails are marked with signs noting stations, distance, and steepness (topography maps show lines close together for steep areas and farther away for more flat) I stuck to the white trail for the energy I had in me that day, but like that you could go in and out of each to see overlooks or get more exercise depending on what you want. Everything is pristinely maintained, with something different and beautiful around each corner. Lots of signage labelling each plant and seating to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. I brought out my drawing pad and even had a few people approach asking if I was part of a drawing group -- it meets every Tuesday (I believe at 10 or 10:30am?) so I happily joined the group as they use the grounds for inspiration of whatever the weeks prompt and reconvene for a group review.

physical plant is great. but, really, could have been better…read more the student activities for students tend to die off because they are chosen and run too often by administrators. the HUB has an advisory board that "meets at least twice a semester" (!). A real student organization to set up activities would lead to more lively program in this space. Not using students to lead and program in this area is sad, and helps lead students to off-campus activities (e.g., drinking), because they are not offered leadership opportunities on campus. This is also leads to the HUB being not a leader in the ACUI.org You will not see a list of events. you will not see a lecture series (at least on the web site), you will not see a movie series. You will no longer see Late Night at Penn State (events on the weekends at night). You will not see student-led program initiatives. oh, and yeah, I'm glad the bookstore is there, but it sucks. it does not do its basic job very well, which is providing textbooks. But, you cannot complain to the university because they outsourced it. If you are in the HUB management, please do correct the web site and include more students in the leadership roles. They are messy and wrong, but they do turn into leaders and learn from it. That is really part of your job, if my dad taught me correctly. but, a great space, well used, and fulfills half of what a student union can do.

I mean, why sell 1 when you would sell 2? why make $4 when you could make $3 twice? but, not crowded, and wide aisles, as they say.

This baseball park is a wonderful addition to the state college and penn state community. This…read morestadium has all the things you love at a baseball game: beer, burgers, snacks, ice cream and more. We came on the 4th of July and the stadium was really full. It's great to see the community support this local baseball team. The tickets are very reasonable and affordable for families with children. Parking was $5 in the lot behind beaver stadium; cash only. We paid $24 for two tickets in the lower section behind home plate. There's also a great view of Mount Nittany behind the outfield. I would recommend this location for couples, families, and everyone of all ages!
