Very good lunch, and we came back later for cappuccino and cakes which were excellent too. We had…read morebetter cakes once elsewhere, but since this is a small town we'll let that go, because the prices were good. (I'd give it 4.5/5 if I could.). It was standard German food, well prepared and with good balance of flavors and ingredients, and their tap beer (especially the dunkel) was excellent, too. Very interesting choice of decorations: lots of retro stuff on the walls, and old vinyl records as placemats. Mine was some ancient Soviet government-issued folk song disk, I think.

Decent selection of beer, we had a banana/weiss radler that was a revelation…read more We ordered a schnitzel that was flavorful, delicious, and enough food for three people. I also ordered some noodles that sounded so odd that I thought they must be a specialty. They were not very special or flavorful and I would avoid them. Cute interior, friendly staff and plenty of room.

Probably the best overall in terms of atmosphere in the area. Really a random, welcome & pleasant…read moresurprise in these neck of the woods. Rustic, charming US-Western cozy flair. Yes: Cozy, not Kitsch. Tasteful & laid back decor. Romantic, magical feeling at night. Could imagine this as a nice venue for an easy, beautiful rustic-themed country wedding/fun party/ first date/ or just to sit alone at the beautiful bar, drink, eat & dream. Nice western country music playing in the background. As for the food- The pizzas looked good, but we ordered (and I recommend) the Hermann burger menu with a tall, cool & frothy, freshly tapped Hefeweizen. Basically a bacon cheeseburger with BBQ sauce (€7,50), and a side of seasoned fries (€3,00). Ask for more ketchup & mayo in the side because there are lots of fries on the plate. We also ordered the knacker (juicy, spiced, red German sausages), with homemade potato salad in the side. Also delicious. Prices are fair. Hidden gem status.
