*Do not recommend!!!!*…read more We dropped off our 6 month old Corgi puppy, Tito (attached a pic for reference, this was not taken at Greenlin), at Greenlin Pet Resorts Camp Hill to be boarded for one week while my husband and I went on our honeymoon. He is currently enrolled in training at Petsmart and our trainer told us to tell Greenlin "no training" since they have their own training program and it would mess up his current training. She said they use harsh punishments. I didn't think much of it. During our trip we did receive some photos of him outside with other dogs, but I paid extra for a bedtime story to be read to Tito daily and for him to have two walks per day but there is no photo evidence that it happened. Fast forward to when we picked him up this past Sunday, November 21st. We were only told about possible respiratory illnesses being spread throughout the facility after we picked him up. He was acting off. I noticed when we got home and he rolled on his back, his outer penial area was red and swollen. Our vet can't tell if it's a UTI or a prepuce infection. Either way, he is on antibiotics now but had no health issues prior to his visit at Greenlin. Negligence?? Dirty kennels/outdoor space?? I'm not sure. What really made me angry was what I witnessed last night. We have NEVER EVER used our hands, objects or any sort of physical punishment on Tito EVER. I went to feed him a piece of chicken while simultaneously holding a spatula in my hand and he flinched when I tried to feed him. I tried again and he cowered in fear and ran away. Later that evening my husband was sweeping the floor with a broom and got too close to Tito and again he cowered in fear and ran away. He NEVER acted this way before!! Seeing the fear in his eyes made my stomach turn!! Do not send your babies here!! I trusted reviews.

I was Kevin's client for five years when I lived in the Harrisburg area. True, his practice is…read moreexpensive- however, you get what you pay for. I was always treated with a great amount of respect there. My dog never had really super serious problems while I was his client, but he was always there for me with every case of worms- and with a hound, there were lots. Developing a relationship is important in Kevin's practice- vets tend to see a lot of pet owners that are unprepared at best. So, he tends to treat pretty aggressively, and order more diagnostics than other vets might to protect himself. If you disagree with him, stay calm, be reasonable and be assertive, and he will be as well. Time in the practice and not skipping out on regular visits helps this along. Plus, there are a few intangibles as a client of Kevin's. They have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs. They price match prescription medication. And if you're a client, you will find no better rates for boarding. Bottom line is that Kevin's practice deserves a better rating than it has. I can't give it a five star review because of the price, but he kept my business for five years- that's got to count for something.

Thank God we went to our regular vet for a second opinion where they confirmed what we knew - nothing wrong with the dog besides the eye infection we initially made the mistake of taking him to hershey vet for, costing us a total of 800 dollars. Also our dog who likes everyone didnt like the vet.

I wanted to address some of the things the owner said to my husband and me yesterday…read more She implied that I was lying on Sammy's ( my Yorkie's) intake papers. I do take offense at this. I reread what I had written on the papers. I do not lie. The information was accurate. Sammy is a 5 1/2 pound - 1 1/2 year old Yorkie. The owner complained that Sammy was digging when left outside alone. (Yorkies like to dig in the dirt!) The owner commented that my puppy didn't like to be alone. On the paper I wrote he is very friendly. She was not at all sympathetic; that we had recently lost our beloved eight-year old Yorkie, Dundee, Sammy's best friend about a month ago.) Due to that, yes, I agreed with the owner, Sammy does not like to be alone. I do not find this as a fault, but rather an endearing quality. We were appalled that the owner would put a 5 1/2 pound Yorkie in an open field/pen with no covering without any regard to possible hawks. This is unacceptable. Has she not ever seen a hawk swoop down and pick up a small animal? It happens very quickly! So no, Sammy has never been left outside alone nor should he be. And finally the owner added that our puppy was not welcome back to Chateau Barkingham kennel. This was a bit beside the point because in our minds, we already had decided he would never be brought back to this establishment. The owner is not at all versed in dealing with puppies or very small dogs. When we returned home we talked to Sammy's Veterinarian. Our Vet was shocked at the "faults" found in Sammy. All ridiculous. Best of luck with your business, but don't expect any positive reviews to your kennel from us!

My poodle came back brushed (not sure how managed that one) and my very anxious dogs came back untraumatized by the whole thing. The kennels are pretty big, it is indoors and they are small rooms with TVs, seriously. But she gives them outdoor time to be dogs. It is very out in the middle of nowhere, but that just means it is quieter. The owner is way in to the dog whisperer school of dog obedience, I am clearly not...but if she wants to fight the inevitable, more power to her. Every time we go on vacation, this is the first call we make.
