At the time it was a frustrating service experience, more so for him than for me, but now I have a better idea of what the business is all about and it makes sense: this place is the main provider of custom uniforms in the city. This location is the showroom and main office, but most of what they are doing on a daily basis in going on behind the scenes, designing and manufacturing uniforms for dozens of different kinds of businesses, including airlines and bus drivers and chain restaurants. Two weirdos looking for a single pot of polish: not high on their radar. Fair enough.
