That really became a problem. It is dark and dingy in there so it really is not the best place to hang out in the day, unless you want to sit on one of the big sofas and have one of their special big sarnies. They are good. Drinks too are pretty cheap and of a good variety. I have been to a good few gigs here, once as part of the new cross festival. Their sound system is far, far too loud for the size of the place, I always come out with my ears ringing. However, the crowd is always up for a laugh and the bar men always join in the heckling if someone truly appalling performs. The owner is a great guy and encourages nights to be held there. Tuesday is open mic night.

She also had a personal microphone so it was easy to hear her in a big group. When people got separated from the group, she sent them her location and we were able to regroup. She was very personable and we saw so much during our time together. I did the tour on a Saturday at 10:00 am. Tour began outside Green Park Station. It was easy to find the tour guide. This tour is 6 hours and I saw sites in Westminster, City of London, and additional sights. There is a lunch break halfway through the tour. The tour ends outside the Tower of London. To name a few, we saw Buckingham Palace, The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing St., Churchill War Rooms, Trafalgar Square. We didn't go inside the places, just the outside of it. Though there was no changing of the palace guards on Saturday due to preparations for the coronation and Easter, we were able to see changing of the horse guard. Sinead knew exactly where to stand to have the best view. Sinead also has YouTube videos so definitely check out her channel if you are traveling to London. He covered over 1000 years of history over the two hour walk. We started at Trafalgar Square, through Royal London (seeing the beginning and up close changing of the guard) then to St. James Park, on to Downing Street, Big Ben and so many other great historical locations. There is no cost for the tour, and the guides work solely on tips, but there was no pressure at all to do so. We tipped 20 pounds and it was worth every penny. You can tell Andrew loves what he does, and likes meeting new people. It was so good we went back for the 6:30 pm London's Ghostly Haunts Walk, but were 7 minutes late and missed it. TIP: Get there on time!

We bought our tickets about 3 days in advance, showed up on time and waited about 20 minutes after our time was supposed to start. When the bus finally showed up, they told us that they were running behind, so we weren't on the list. "Luckily," they were able to squeeze us in, or I think we would have had to wait another whole hour. They don't have any sort of queue system, so everyone just waits on the sidewalk and then rushes the bus when it arrives with no organization whatsoever. I believe tickets were about $60 USD, which seemed like a lot to me, so I figured it must be great. I wish I would've read more reviews beforehand because it's just super corny, and you can't see anything they are pointing out if you're seated on the from the lower part of the bus. Eventually, they have you close the window shades and participate in a mock séance. Our host was good, I suppose, but, again, just really corny. We easily booked on line a couple months in advance of our trip to Stonehenge, Bath and a Secret Place. I had a few questions, which were answered quickly through email. Instructions and itinerary were provided after we bought we tickets. Additional and helpful information was sent a few day prior to our trip. Noelh, our tour guide, was knowledgable, interesting and fun from the moment he picked us up in London. He provided information beyond the tour stops. He was engaging and had a good understanding of the geology of Stonehenge as well as the historical background. He made well time stops for breaks. We spent about two hours at Stonehenge, two hours at Bath and an hour at the Secret Place. The Secret Place was worth the extra and I highly recommend. Noelh offered a brief and interesting walking tour at each site and left us time to explore on our own. We were allowed to bring snacks on the bus but we didn't need them because we stopped plenty at places for food and drink. Noelh provided water. Bring water and rain gear. There were UBC ports for phone charging on the bus. The bus was very comfortable. Noelh was sensitive to a woman that was having mobility issues and arranged for her to skip part of the walking tour. I enjoyed Stonehenge and the Secret Place immensely, I was glad I saw Bath, but it was too crowded during our visit. Others on the tour really loved Bath. I highly recommend The English Bus tours.

****BEST FREE THING IN LONDON***…read more Gary our tour guide gave us an amazing tour of east london's street art. You book by emailing him, meet round the corner from Liverpool Street and he takes you on a 2 hour tour around london's east end for free (though, the tour is that good you will want to give him a heavy tip at the end) Ive been round this area on many occasions but thing were pointed out and explained and without being too dramatic, completely changed how i look at the area. We saw works by Banksy, Stiks, and T.wat and given a real sense of what the work meant. and what it was doing for society - Stiks has used street art to transform his life old life as someone who was homeless to someone who now holds exhibitions around the world. and others who have since set up charities. very compelling stuff. Learning about the history area of Jewish / bangladesh settlement, and the more current artist versus bankers territorial struggle was fantastic too. SOOOOOO cant recommend this enough. made me proud to live in london.
