They have a towing company and towed my tesla off Dumbarton bridge because a metal object rolled to my lane and busted a wheel. I askes Jorge when i get new wheel and rim if he can go to my home to help me change it and he said yes amd offered me a great price too. He came today to get the new set, took it back to his shop to put them together with the tire sensor too and came back to my house to put it on for me. Such excellent service at a great price! The tesla was able to detect the new wheel and i drove from Fremont to SF and back today with no problems. Went to JD Tires after I realized that one of my wheels were dropping in pressure. Upon arriving, I noticed that I had a crack in my wheel and asked them if they could weld it, as well as replace the tire. The employees at JD were super easy to work with and straightforward; I left my wheel there for about 3 hours and got a call back to pick it up the same day. Upon arriving, I found that the welds they made were a lot stronger than the ones I had in the past (welded at another shop in San Jose). I was super happy with the work they provided. They were also able to correctly balance my wheels; because my wheels were custom built, some shops often have trouble balancing them correctly but JD got them on the first try. My total came out to a little under $200 for the weld and tire work, which I would say is reasonable. I would definitely take my wheels here for any other needs! read more

I am absolutely blown away by the service I received from Carlos and Angel. We have construction going on at our house and came out to find a screw stuck in our tire and a completely flat tire. I was able to contact JD and within 45 minutes, they had assessed my situation, given me a quote and were able to help same day. Then, two days later, we had a flat in THE SAME TIRE! I thought the patch didn't work or something went wrong with the work they did. I gave them a call and sent a follow up image. Not only did they come out within 20 minutes but it turns out that we had ANOTHER screw in our tire from the construction site. STAY AWAY!!!! I called and was quoted $45 to remove 3 locking lug nuts. I ended up having to pay $70 and it took a whopping 5 minutes. That makes their hourly rate over $800. And not a torque wrench in sight. No wonder their shop was completely empty. read more

Car got a flat when business was closed. I towed it with AAA here when the business was closed. Left my car here overnight with a note on the window. Came back around 8am opening time and everyone here nicely and promptly did the patch work for me. They charge $30 for patching, and $20 for plugs. Very reasonable prices. The guy who seems like a boss man, the lady at the register, and the gentleman who did the patch work, they were all super nice and treated me with respect. When you're dealing with an inconvenience like this in life, that's all you can ask for and some more. In the beginning, I was skeptical with some of the 1 star reviews here, but glad it worked out! This review is based upon the service received on June 20, 2020. Picture this: A lovely, sunny Saturday early morning, albeit amidst pandemic...the birds were singing, I woke up in a productive and happy mood to get the day started. When I went out to my car to pickup a surprise take-out breakfast in bed to enjoy with my love, I get closer to my vehicle and low and behold the proverbial record skips. Damn. A freaking flat! Well, the surprise breaky factor had a bit of a wrench thrown into the plan - err - more so a nail, most likely, but I woke up my honey to break the news. He sprung into action and said not to fret my pretty little head over it (OK, so I added that part), but that he knew the perfect place to go. We added some air to my sad looking tire and caravan style went directly to JD Tires Custom Wheels and were immediately greeted by a very helpful gentleman who directed us where to park. Luckily, there was only one other customer there at the time. My boyfriend explained the issue and the gentleman (named Francisco) got right to work and showed us into the storeroom where we could wait in a cooler area which was very kind. We found out after Francisco jacked up my car to remove the tire and confirmed there was indeed a huge nail in it - in a location that caused the tire to bubble out on the side so it couldn't be repaired, that it would need to be replaced and also, that my brakes were on their way out. I wasn't prepared to make that repair, but he was kind enough to let me know that in all honesty, it would be best taken care of within a month and a half or so, depending on how far I'm driving. We were able to have the back tire replaced as well as two front tires (my right back tire was much newer) and get in and out with fast & friendly service thanks to Francisco's hard work in less that 1/2 hr! Their pricing is reasonable and I am confident in Francisco's advice and service and will definitely be returning very soon to handle the full break service. We were even able to make it to the restaurant on time to pick up the "surprise" breakfast I ordered with the food still being hot! My Saturday snafu was a snap, thanks to my honey directing me to a very professional, courteous and fast local place. Ask for Francisco, although I'm certain the other technicians are just as great since my man had some work done previously with a good experience as well. My son and I went to get rims and tires. I paid over $2,000.00 for my truck and my son paid $2,000.00 for his. Within a week I got the 1st blowout. I had to go back and get another 1. A week later another one. I was furious and because they tried to say it was my fault they refused to replace them. Due to being in a difficult situation they charged me an additional $400.00. I went to ask for pricing for my daughter's tires because they offer the financing. Angel told me that he is refusing service because I "supposedly" filed a complaint against them. They do not have anything to say they have a right to refuse service. He couldn't prove my supposed complaint. The ladies are great but they are shady. DO NOT GO TO THEM!!!! read more

Avoid if you can, very slimy business. The merchant has hidden costs not displayed on the receipt that makes it appear you are not paying for labor. The person working on my car knew i was looking to purchase two used summer tires initially to replace one blown tire but offered a free alignment if i chose two new tires. I agreed. The Cost had the alignment included as 95$ with no labor cost listed. So I explained to the person at the desk as to why i was getting charged more than double the average price for this tire, as well as why i was paying for alignment if they told me it was free if bought new in pairs. She explained to be i had to purchase 4 new tires for the free alignment. They openly admitted that they include the labor costs, fees, and installation costs in the tire's invoice to make it look like you are saving money. And they don't "price match". 265/35z/R18 Fullways (which are garbage tires new) and the "best" tires they had in the shop are listed as 95$ a piece average and i ended up paying more than double that each plus the 95$ "free alignment " I'll give it one extra star for the morally compromised desk worker that told me the truth at least. Hopefully another tire shop will take these tires off my hands and get me a discount for better ones at a fair trade price. I apologize, i should have been more responsible than to trust these guys even with tire pressure, especially because i like to drive up the mountains on the weekends. Inflating 57 psi on both tires is not the recommended pressure on the tires, they close to the the MAX capacity for the tires. Almost got into an accident if i didn't know any better. Ending.It.Here.
