12.22.24: I have a thing for cotton candy and my friend found this specialty cotton candy shop in Spokane. He ordered a cotton candy Birthday cake for me and yesterday we drove the hourish to town to pick it up. It was our first time in and it should be noted that they're moving locations at the beginning of the year and to watch out for the new location announcement on their Facebook page and website: https://www.spokanesugarcandy.com/ When we walked in, the tiny shop was filled with kids and adults. I can see why they're moving locations! However, with such a tiny space, it was filled with beautiful cotton candy eye candy everywhere. After waiting patiently for my turn, I informed the candy maker, who later I found out was the owner, Jacey, that I was there to pick up my birthday cake. And since we drove all the way out here, I also wanted to try something yummy while we were there. I ordered the The Best of the Best Cotton Candy Burrito, which was cotton candy shaped into a burrito filled with cotton candy and birthday cake ice creams, topped with nerds candy and fruity pebbles cereal, all sprinkled with edible glitter dust. You can choose your cotton candy flavors, your ice creams, and your toppings--this all makes for many unique combos a person can create. Jacey was so awesome and presented it to me with a candle and sang happy birthday. She even gifted me a tub of cotton candy to try some of the many flavors she offers. My friend tried the Blue Cookie Monster shake and said it was good and that he liked the mini chocolate chip cookies that lined the outside of the cup. Also this cotton candy rock candy caught my eye and had to purchase a bag. Basically it's all the leftover spun sugar after making cotton candy that's pressed into many layers forming a rock candy bar. It's not hard at all and more of a light crunch. All the different flavors of cotton candy give it a unique sweet taste. Hats off to Jacey for having an awesome attitude in dealing with so many kids and adults day in and day out. She showed a ton of patience and was really nice to every customer, even if they weren't so nice in return. Jacey pays attention to detail and has honed in on her candy craft. She went above and beyond during my visit with singing me happy birthday and gifting me a tub of cotton candy. I can't thank her enough for making my trip a worthy visit!
