I have called both my insurance and Multicare multiple times and with issues regarding several claims not being sent to insurance correctly and Multicare's team seems uninterested in solving the problem and I continually get notices that my bill will be sent to collections. My husband pays top dollar for good health insurance and it all should be covered. When I call insurance, the say their is an issue with the way the claim was submitted and Multicare can't seem to figure out what that problem is. Because of this horrendous billing experience I a cannot recommend them. No woman who is newly postpartum should have to deal with this.

But because I mentioned I had a recent issue with a frozen shoulder, I was billed additional service/appointment doubling the cost of my annual checkup. There were no referrals given or anything else related to the shoulder other than mentioning it (like 30 second discussion). I was charged an extra $415 for "Moderate Complexity Medical Decision Making" regarding the frozen shoulder. Yes my insurance paid for it, but I feel Providence is basically running an insurance scam.

I've been to 3 ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) Dr's, and I thought I had faith in the last Dr I saw from Rockwood since he seemed like he really cared and was going to get to the bottom of what was causing my discomfort. Went in for my 6 week check up and he said he had no idea what was causing my pain and that he couldn't do anything for a treatment plan for me, and that was after they were an hour late calling me into the exam room. So, I walked out of Rockwood in tears of anger and frustration. I will be changing My PCP and will never do business with Rockwood again on account of all the negative experiences I have had with them. Also, took a friend to Rockwood and he was prescribed a medicine that should not be taken if you had high BP, they didn't check his vitals, so I checked his BP when I got home. It was fine and within normal range, but the fact that they didn't check could have been lethal should he have taken that prescription.

I scheduled a standard well check. I had no medical concerns, didn't ask any questions, and didn't request lab work. The only reason I went was to request a routine prescription refill. I knew Providence had a policy about being billed for anything "outside the scope" of a well check, so I intentionally kept it brief and on-topic. Despite this, I was billed for two visits. The clinic said I went beyond the scope of the well check--but couldn't explain what that scope is or what I did that triggered the second charge. They also refused to define what is included in a well check at all. The appointment itself was completely scripted. I wasn't invited to speak, ask, or engage. It was cold, rushed, and impersonal. Providence's policy of not allowing questions, labs, or refills during a well check is not only inconvenient--it's inhumane. It reduces care to a checklist and leaves no space for real preventive medicine or meaningful connection with your provider. Patients deserve clarity, respect, and ethical billing practices. I received none of those things.
