Next to find yogurt. We found what appeared to be yogurt except that it was for cooking. We asked a staff worker who directed us to the correct section. All the staff were super nice. This is a cashless store. The register language can be changed to English. Bags for groceries costs extra so it is prudent to hand carry or have your own tote. The yogurt was great as were the smoothies! Yum! Good stop for a snack.

Ica Globen is so neatly organized and symmetrical a friend of mine with Asperger's Syndrome told me that walking around in it is like therapy, and after visiting it I can confirm that this is true. Selection, yes. It's a big store (unusually so for an Ica Supermarket), and it's put some heart and thought into what it offers. Service, certainly. Did you once look for a grocery-store employee who loves her/his job? Did you give up? That is understandable, because they seem to all be working here. It's definitely a value store, with a section of big bins of really cheap, somewhat random items. I could always find the packaged salmon a bit cheaper at Mat Dax than at the ICA. Check it out for sure! Of course if you want very high quality food and materials then maybe this isn't the best place for you. Like I said above, it's a value store! But it's a GREAT value store. I don't recall them ever having much organic produce and some of the items they sell are a bit ghetto but again they're cheap! When I moved away from Hagsätra, I found myself going in just to poke around and see what kind of deals they had when I was in the area. I was coming back from a long evening walking tour and needed a snack on the way to the hotel. Lots of options here for snacks, I ended up choosing a small sandwich and a bottle of sparkling water. Extremely inexpensive and the fact that I speak no Swedish didn't matter. Watch the register and have your cash ready. And "sack" is easy enough to decline since they aren't free in most of Europe. The website lists Väddögård as a supplier so my hopes were high for some locally sourced milk - all they seem to stock is Arla. A quick scan of the shelves revealed a decent assortment, nearly everything priced 3-15+sek higher than other supermarkets. I noticed a few interesting niche items, but prefer to treat myself to these things at Casa Warg or Urbandeli as the atmosphere reminds me of my past life in the UK and US. For the more reasonable prices and extra 10 minute walk, I will continue to due my food shopping on Söder. Having become a regular (15 min before closing!) shopper at Munkbrohallen, I have upped the 2 star rating to 4. Although not the place to purchase staple items as the prices are higher than a standard ICA/Coop, the fruit and veg specials alone are worth coming here. It is obvious they select what they buy at market so can offer better prices on what is often higher-grade produce. The in-store cooked roast-beef is the closest I have come to what the local butcher in my childhood town produced - Lean, not overcooked or salted. The staff are friendly and relaxed, and the coffee good too.

I also dont like that sale prices dont work unless you have a "shoppers card". So instead of 25 krona for apples, I paid 34. Price labeling can be confusing when you can't read the language. How much is that filmolk? As an American, I am still confused that each Hemkop seems to set its own prices for the exact same thing. And this is another place where you need your grocery receipt to exit. Sometimes I like to browse. Over all this store is one of 3 that I shop at. ICA Folkungagatan (most expensive but best bakery), the ICA Kvantum on Magnus Ladulagatan (best price of my favorite muesli that I am filling my suitcase with) and this one (best princess cake)
