UPDATE 3/26 The way I was treated behind my back till this day affects me. Apparently I was "too much time spent on" not worthy, charged me a premium and had someone who didn't even get his law degree yet represent me. By the way spodek will not represent you. His unqualified "lawyers" who didn't pass the bar exam will. Shady business Absolutely disgusting behavior from front desk ms Williams. And empty promises. Honest opinion. Never met Spodek once. Representation and communication was weak and the rate for service were high. After 32 hrs of community service $5000 and a stain on my record, DEFINITIVELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR HIRE Mind you my charges were 2 misdemeanors and I had a clean record. Funny part is. I was actually the victim in it all. Not pleased. Please save your money and go to another firm. I won't go into too many details on here but let me highlight a few points: Efficient - these guys were always on time and on point. The service and the time you get with these guys; you're treated like a high profile client. Any questions or concerns I had; Alex got back to me almost immediately or in a timely manner via text, call or email. Personable - Alex is literally my new bestie - I could text him at any time in the day to ask a legal question or to vent or to bitch or whatever; he made me feel like I was the firm's only client. I never ever had to leave a message with a receptionist to wait for a random team member to get back to me. I dealt with the same person all the way through - from beginning to End Accommodating - these guys work with your budget. Once you sign on with them; you gain access to an internal portal system that literally makes it easy for you to make payments and it alerts you of any upcoming court appearances , etc. whenever I asked for a document; Alex sent it to me via the portal almost immediately. Todd is very honest, knowledgeable and strategic- I didn't read his bio so I don't know how long he's been doing this but he is literally amazing when it comes to putting together a strategy specific to your situation to enhance the likeliness of things going in your favor . In addition it helps that he has great relationships within the justice system - he understands the judge's temperament and will cater to him/ her accordingly There's not enough time honestly or space for me to include everything on here about how great my experience was with Spodek - just know I HIGHLY recommend them- they are young, driven, experienced professionals who invest time in giving their clients the most optimal experience - this is the one time where I honestly got MORE than what I paid for This case could have changed our lives for the worst but Spodek somehow made the impossible happen and the outcome was favorable for me and my family, and I can confidently say that things could have gone differently if I didn't have this team behind me. read more

Legal issues aren't fun for anyone and mine was no exception. Talking to a number of different lawyers felt like talking to a car mechanic about the incredibly important part you've never heard of for a huge amount of money. I didn't feel like anyone actually had my best interest in mind until I met with Todd at Spodek Law Group. Todd explained all the details to me and never hesitated to answer questions via phone, email or txt. I apologize to Todd for bothering him at all hours of the day and night, but he never seemed to mind or hesitate to reassure me on where I stood. I didn't meet any of the other lawyers at the firm, but if they are as good as Todd, I would highly recommend them. Best case, just be sure to ask for Todd so you can get the service people in these situations need to feel assured with their counsel. I am writing this review about Spodek Law's Medicaid Fraud team. I was the target of a criminal investigation into welfare fraud. I searched in Google (where else?) for law firms that specialize in these types of investigations. Apparently this is quite common, as I found a lot of attorneys advertising this type of representation. I called a few people and setup a few appointments. I only called the free consultation ones. I spoke with the lawyer that handled a car accident case for my cousin who said I should speak with Todd at Spodek Law. I called an 800 number and spoke with Analiz who setup an appointment for me at their Manhattan office (very close to the HRA office on the letter) I went in with my girlfriend and met with Todd. We discussed the case for a little more then an hour and the consultation was more general then specific to my case. There was no cost, and Todd said to think about and to call him if we decided to move forward. I then met with two other lawyers. Neither was great so I hired Todd. I had his cell phone number so I just texted him. He told me to come back and Analiz will get me setup as he was at an arraignment. I paid Anaiz by credit card and was setup on their firm website. The next thing I got was an email notification that a letter of representation was sent out, I logged in and I could see it. I then saw a claim report, my applications, and shortly after a memo detailing the issues in the case. I am not a big phone person and I was happy I can login and see progress at my own schedule. After about 4 month's the case was done. An agreement had been reached and I paid back a portion of the benefits. It was a "lump sum" payment. If I did installments, it would be higher. I never met with anyone at HRA, I brought a certified check to Analiz and the next thing I got was an email stating that my settlement agreement was uploaded for my review. Overall I have nothing but praise for this firm. They did what they said they would do. Ultimately this is what counts. read more

I really can NOT recommend them. They did help me settle my case however it was not a pleasant experience & I am not talking about the actual investigation. Communication was lacking. Questions and concerns went completely ignored. The "Paralegal" Shantal I had to work with was extremely rude, condescending, & unprofessional. She did not answer my questions, just kept repeating herself over and over. She spoke over me all the time and I honestly feel that she was not listening to me at all. She would say she would do something and then get back to me to only to go MIA for 2 weeks while we were under a time crunch. It really felt like they were working for the investigator and not me. Out of frustration I would call to anyone but her and even then they was pretty rude in responses. I've dealt with lawyers before and none were as rude and "annoyed" by my asking simple questions or asking for clarification like they did. It's possible your experience can & will be better than mine but in good conscience I can not and will not recommend them to anyone. read more

It took me a few days to write this review as I wanted to formulate my thoughts to give Ken the Praise he deserves. Spodek Law Group has great reviews because they get great results. I found myself facing a DWI misdemeanor which would mean termination from my employment and a snowball affect that would be very catastrophic. To make a very long story short it would have ruined my life. I would have been jobless and homeless. My situation was bad because it was my 2nd DWI. Although the first one was one month short of 10 years It was still a repeated offense when I refused a chemical test this time around. Ken was able to get the DMV hearing dismissed, which would have revoked my license for a year. Ken also spent A few months pleading with the DA for leniency which we were able to obtain after a Proffer. Ken was able to secure a violation instead of a misdemeanor. Still came with some stipulation but no criminal record. My situation may be different from yours but what will stay consistent is the fight you will get by hiring Kenneth Belkin and Spodek Law Group. I would also have to say that I would call/text Ken with questions and he would do his best to answer them or he would look into what I asked. You definitely should consider Ken as he is a respectful and professional attorney who is affordable and knows his stuff. read more
