I believe inexperience may have been a factor. I wanted a blended pixie about an inch long. I have two stubborn cowlicks and if not cut right they will stick up. Ended up with very short hair on the sides In about 2 weeks it should be about right. Really like the salon and will go back to someone more experienced in blending and short hair. Kayce does a great hair cut, but $55 for a dry cut is a bit much…read more Back in 2021 I successfully had my dyed hair blended to match my greys which is what I requested here. At my consult Kayce said under her breath the cost would be $100, but it turned out to be $150/hour a whopping $900 - kid you not!!! That's more than twice what I paid in CA. There's more folks: The first thing I said when I arrived is DO NOT turn me platinum blonde. This salon portrays itself as high-end, yet had inexperienced, though sweet,18 and 20 year olds attending my hair. These 3 or 4 girls overseen by Kayce bleached my hair, each doing it slightly different and being corrected on occasion. I wanted to run out, which wasn't feasible with my hair in foils. By the time I was asked my hair was to a 9 and Kayce was wanting to get it to a 10. In my head I was thinking why didn't she stop at 7? I told her to stop and that I was fine with that color. It was either that 1 color or more bleach; not really a choice. I ended up going home platinum blonde with my brand new concert t-shirt ruined as it was bleached as well. Kayce graciously gave me $30 for it. It would cost more to replace, but I was trying to stay calm and get out of there. Once I got home, I discovered the color was uneven and that even a patch of brown remained. This was not a surprise, as I explained earlier HOW the bleach was applied. I returned a couple days later to discuss but ultimately Kayce proposed to bleach my hair even more. As mentioned earlier, my goal had been to grow out my grey roots and the color treatment was intended to avoid a drastic line. I think Kayce was trying to turn every strand sparkling silver?? With the help of family, I purchased, then mixed 2 toners which ultimately achieved the look I was going for. Finally, I can leave the house without a hat as my hair looks lovely. Why couldn't Kayce + Co accomplish that? It's my sense that this salon is all about making money. I felt unease that so many stylists wore baseball caps. Being in there 3 times now I see their specialty seems to be unnaturally over-processed hair on both stylist and patrons.

And I'm not a fan of open concept salons where it can be noisy and you can hear everyone's drama. That being said, everyone is really nice. And Katherine is her own woman doing her own thing, in her own room! Where it's warm and quiet! It's also relaxing, warm colors, and her chair is so comfy. I started seeing Katherine at Hygeian, also in Clarksville. The folks at Hygeian were great, but Katherine is the best of the best, so when she decided to head out on her own, I had to follow! Katherine does AMAZING pedicures. I have the equivalent of troll feet. My nails are just awful. I struggle with crooked toes, crooked nails, and my nails become ingrown very easily. When Katherine cuts my nails, they feel literally perfect. They are neat, clean, no sharp edges, and the pedicure lasts for three or four weeks without me having to touch them. She gets the thick callus off . . . you can tell she actually gets satisfaction from shaving that dead skin off! My feet always feel so smooth and silky after she's done. I also get paraffin after each session. Please realize this is a podosafe pedicure and doesn't use the water baths, which can cause infection. Katherine also does manicures, polish, and many other treatments. She is a true professional, and has tons of certifications! I never thought my feet would feel so good. So NORMAL. Thank you, Katherine! You are AMAZING!

My hair is super fine and finicky and it breaks easily so it's important that not too much gets cut off because it takes forever to grow back. The stylist listened to what I wanted and actually asked questions to verify she understood. On top of that, the conditioning treatment she used is AMAZING. My daughter came home explaining it to me and cried so much. She said you were ripping through her hair all over. Combing really hard and getting to tangles and tearing through them, she said last time you did not do that. Also when you want to use thinning shears you should ask if that's ok. A few times back we told you we do not like that but I'm sure you just forgot. She just went through a low iron and a lot of hair loss from it and you used thinning shears everywhere. Her ponytail is very thin now. The cut is pretty but the sides need adjustment. Her curtain bangs are not where she asked but it's ok. You are a very good stylist, but the only thing I can imagine was you not feeling well and was in a rush. Or you used new combs and different detangling conditioner. Please do not frown upon us for being upset. We want to return to your salon and you may not want us as your client because you fear we will be upset but I know there is no other person that has ever given my family such beautiful haircuts before. I do not want to lose that over one bad experience." She did not apologize and said we can come back and she would check her work. She said no one told her not to use thinning shears but she never asked and my 20 year old daughter was there. She never asked. Her hair was 60% thinner to the point my daughter was extremely upset. And the sides were choppy on one side and good on other. She made me an appointment for 6 months from the date. We chose not to get anything fixed and just wait the 6 months. We had a text appointment confirmation. Two days before I called to confirm and she said she did not want to do our hair because we make her nervous. That's ok, it was a lot of complaining, we were upset. But why give us an appointment and cancel last minute? So if you like that kind of stuff go see her. Also I mentioned her possibly not feeling well because before this cut she rescheduled on us three times. Note, when I called to reschedule and she thought I was complaining to a manager she said, " I trained him", implying it will go nowhere.
