We would pay double!!…read more Though excited I didn't know what to expect the night we went to watch the preliminary 'clip' (or trailer) of our wedding video from Departing Line Studios. I knew they were awesome and a lot of fun while capturing our wedding day, but I've seen wedding videos in the past that were all very predictable and seemingly all the same. BUT after watching just the trailer alone - I stand corrected. Jeremy should be showing Kubrick and Scorcese how it's done! Our video trailer was truly EXCITING to watch and not just because it's OURS but because it is a piece of cinematic ART! I mean my hubby and I were there and obviously played a large role in the whole event but we were left guessing what was next, sitting on the edges of our seats completely enthralled in the video footage that played out in front of us wanting more! That being said... Once we were able to watch the entire video... WOW! Hands down it was theee thing that we were most excited about after the big day. It is something we still agree was the best decision we made when planning the wedding. Wedding pictures are amazing to have around for memories (believe me we had a phenomenal photographer and our pix are beautiful) but even our favorite photos pale in comparison to the wedding video. The video and trailer have several times allowed us to RE-live the moments from that special day. It's truly magical. When we watch the video (which we and our loved ones have done several times now) we find ourselves laughing, giggling, crying, kissing, laughing more, etc. Words cannot even describe the appreciation we have for Departing Line Studios with what they put together for us. We are forever grateful to them for capturing our story like they did and then to put everything together the way that they did afterwards to make it retell not just any story but OUR STORY. I know that many couples like us may be hesitant when booking videographers (and other large ticket services) as we all realize early on, prices add up quickly over the entire spectrum of planning an event. I understand, they do but please trust me when I say that if you decide to go with Departing Line Studios for videography there will be no regrets what so ever. In fact after witnessing their work... My husband and I would have gladly paid double. We have NOT ONCE regretted booking Departing Line Studios for our videography nor will we ever. All the remaining décor is in boxes in the basement, the dress ended up in a garbage bag when leaving the hotel the following morning (don't judge ladies yours might too... lol), the cake and leftovers went home with friends and loved ones but all in all after the BIG DAY we weren't left holding on to much other than each other. Now... With the video we can go back and appreciate the dinner, cake and the cutting of the cake. When I want to watch our guests mingling around the room with the decorations placed ever so carefully I can. When I want to look at my dress and watch how it flowed around the room/dance floor all night I can. When we want to relive the "I Dos" we can. When I want to watch the look on my hubby's face when my father walked me down the aisle to him - I can... over and over and over. I'm sure you get it. The video of our wedding day is amazing and is something that we will treasure forever and ever. She was willing to go out of her way to make sure she had everything that we needed and she was very easy going throughout the whole event. We booked him for our wedding in December and would book him for other stuff as well. He had everything on time. Setup was amazing and professional. Michigan Event Services did an excellent job providing DJ and photo booth services to our wedding…read moreheld in June, 2016. They were particularly good value, and performed in line with our expectations. That said, I'm deducting one star here for the photo booth. Although they set it up properly, and it functioned as expected, the attendant that we were told would be ushering people through the process was not present for most of the night. He spent most of the night talking with the DJ at the DJ table. Some of our guests were a little hesitant to use the photo booth, and his presence would've been appreciated to make our guests feel welcome.
