I had worried I wouldn't last that long with toddler but it was lovely and warm - air temp and water - and we stayed the whole time. Café food was as you'd expect - chips and nuggets etc - the place is a tiny bit dated and a bit pricey but to be honest, I would go again and it was as expected. Would recommend if in the area.

There are often activities going on here including childrens swimming classes and Underwater Hockey on wednesday evenings. Staff are very chatty most times, pool at a nice temperature and changing rooms have more than enough lockers available. There is also a seating area upstairs with a good view of the pool area. It does get very hot up there though as close to the flood lights.

They closed it down for a few years to buff it up and have reopened it as a 21st century waterpark. It certainly looks very modern, the gym which comes out of the front of the building is like a space gym and has incredible views over the marina. The 'waterpark' is not a huge leap from the pools and slides that were there before, they've clearly worked around the main structure - keeping features like the wave pool and the huge windowed walls which make it almost feel like you're swimming outside in warm sunshine. New additions include the 'river run' which is basically a doughnut of water with a strong current which whips you around it and three new slides. Two of the slides are quite boring and similar to the old ones. There is one new one which is amazing though. It's a rubber ring type affair, but instead of a relaxing float down to the ground you go at great speed UP and down the slide - that's right - UP. The water shoots you upwards. It's quite thrilling and induces mega weggies. There's a sufring machine too, but I think you pay seperately for it. There are cafes overlooking the pool complex. The changing rooms are fairly large and varied with plenty of lockers (£1 deposit). There's even one of those high-tech drying machines. There is now also a climbing wall, which looks very pretty and you can see it from the main foyer. I think it's part of the big play area (4 storeys!) that includes sports halls. However, it is a lot more expensive than it was in my day - £7 per adult for 2 hours just for the waterpark. You can get a family ticket for £20, or if you're a Swansea resident you can get a further discount and a loyalty card. The gym has membership starting at £25/month which is loads cheaper than in London.

The changing rooms are fantastic and always clean and warm. The sensory part of the soft play is great too and our baby loves the bubble lamps. I would not advise eating the food in the Bistro as the steak is remarkably like shoe leather and the potatoes strangely like rocks. Nice staff though.

It has all the facilities you would expect from a modern health club - gym, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis courts and much more. There's also a very nice restaurant, although it was a bit on the pricey side. There's something for all the family at this place. It's well worth a look around on one of their open days or just ring up and ask to be shown around.

However .... The signs asking people remove their shoes before going in to the changing rooms are ignored by many people so the cubicle floors of the changing rooms end up filthy. The staff walk back and forth ignoring the point and I have never seen them ask a shoe wearer to remove their shoes. So expect to come out of there with dirty feet. The pool is rarely at 50m and when it is it is often very busy. Monday and Thursday nights can be quieter if you aren't too tired to train at 10pm ... In the mornings and now at weekends many of the lanes are taken by the swimming club. Not an issue but expect the other lanes to be crowded and have people of varying ability in each lane. If you are a quick swimmer expect to be frustrated as you dawdle behind a breast stroker waiting for a safe moment to overtake them. The pool is regularly booked out for galas and swim events at weekends and the information/warnings about these events is very discrete or difficult to find so be prepared for Saturday / Sunday morning disappointment and wasted trips. The pleasure pool is mayhem. The lifeguards do a good job but expect to be kicked by other swimmers, by bumped into, swam over/into and come out feeling the most unrelaxed you ever will. As a venue for promoting healthy lifestyle this place surpasses itself. Not!!! For those who bother to use the benches to remove or put on shoes, there is a glittering array of chocolates and sugary drinks in four vending machines, ideally located opposite you. If you or your children manage to get passed them, there are more sugary calorie dispensers by the exit turnstiles and just in case you haven't managed to give in to the sugar, there are 4 more vending machines on the way out. Only the British would fill a "healthy" sports venue with obesity causing, tooth rotting filled vending machines. So, while you are trudging home in the dirty foot rot of other people from the changing rooms, you can comfort yourself with chocolate and fizzy pop to remind yourself what a healthy life you live!

The only downsides are that the changing rooms can be a bit chaotic and its always worth checking out whats going on before you head down because they often have events on at the weekend so you might not get in.

The changing rooms are always immaculate and they offer good facilities, there are lots of hairdryers and it reminds me of a spa in there. The gym itself is well laid out and is a comfortable temperature for your workout, it has never been too busy and I have never felt that I have been looked down upon for my poor physique - whereas some gyms you feel uncomfortable. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and after your workout there is a really nice restaurant which serves really nice food and really tasty coffee.

Since re-openning the changing rooms are much improved and there is a Star Bucks attached. The new staff are very welcoming and classes such as yoga and spinning are available. I do feel, however, that there is a bit too much focus on swimming lessons and classes. I use the pool just for public/ladies swimming and often the times when I can use the pool are restricted or half the pool is cordonned off for a class.

They now have a starbucks coffee shop where you can sit and watch the swimmers they also have yoga classes which are good as it is normally hard to find spaces in yoga classes in the area. The only downside of the new ownership is that there are alot of swimming classes / groups and private hire times so when I just want to go for a swim I am normally limited to half the pool being closed off which is a shame - I think they should focus more on us people who just want to swim not do aqua arobics, lessons etc.

Wow Greenbanks is a truly amazing place to go for a whole day (Yes a whole day) in the summer…read more Greenbanks has some parking out side basic changing rooms and showers. A good sized grass area to sit on and watch children swim enjoy picnics etc. There are 2 pools a large swimming pool which is too deep for young children and a shallow pool with and a water slide in this pool children over 2 years can walk around. Children do need to be watched at this pool children need to be supervised around water at all times. Over in the corner there is an area with water slides and squirters the kids love running around in that area and getting sprayed with water.
