And the toppings! I have never had a pizza before where I've saluted the mushrooms. This ribfest had Tiny Tom Donuts, but I felt like ice cream instead of overdosing on carbs, which I can successfully do. I knew that Marble Slab Creamery was close by because I have been there, but I wanted to check out a new place. I found this DQ and drove over. It's located in a plaza, next to a dental office and Pet Valu. What impressed me was seeing patio seating. I have never seen that at any DQ before. This place has a drive-thru, so I headed over there. What damped this cool experience a tad was an impatient male in a loud car behind me. I was taking a photo of the business with the patio and drive-thru, and the guy honked at me. Seriously? I was stopped for three seconds on a Saturday and you can't handle that?! I waved to him to acknowledge his impatience. I truly wanted to flip him the bird, but I didn't want to stoop to his level. Karma is fun, though. I rolled my car slowly into the drive-thru, took photos of the promotions and menu, and then spoke to the most cheerful, pleasant guy to place my order. I got a medium chocolate-dipped cone. He asked whether I wanted to donate a loonie to McMaster Children's Hospital. Hey, why not! It's for a good cause. I'll take another ten seconds to say yes and have the male staffer thank me. I got to the pickup window and he was truly a nice person who loves what he does. I paid with a debit card. I got the long stick with the payment machine at the end. Tap. Done. Happy! I got my ice cream at the end of another long stick, except that it looked like a paint palette, but with holes where the paint colours would be. It was cool. I thanked him and left, looking at my rearview mirror and noticing that the jerk behind me hadn't pulled up to the window. Perhaps I could have driven around and stopped behind his car to honk at him. Instead, I parked in front of Orangetheory Fitness (how ironic!) and enjoyed the exercise of my lifting my chocolate-dipped ice cream cone to my mouth. It was a hot day that I could see the vanilla soft-serve wanting to burst out of the chocolate shell and melt. It was so good and hit the spot. It had been a while since I had a cone. I loved the crunchiness of it contrasted with the coldness of the ice cream and chocolate shell. I hope to return soon and check out the patio. I have never been on a DQ patio. Perhaps I'll get a burger from the grill menu and enjoy it next time, hopefully before it's winter! (343)

About 30 minutes later I was there and picked up our order, right on time. The bags were heavy!!! As we had ordered over the $50 threshold we also received an order of chicken wings, I did not ask about this whole ordering nor did I ask if it was included. I got home and there it was!! For me this is a test of truthfulness which was passed with flying colours. Each of the containers was not just filled but each was packed tight into the containers! The orders were probably a bit less than what we would have paid in other places but also having the containers so filled was awesome! The location is interesting. There is parking beside the restaurant although it may be shared with another business. Street parking is a bit farther as there's a signalized crosswalk opposite the door. Although it has been a sit down restaurant it appears that since COVID precautions that they have kept the seating areas closed off. So no in house seating and eating. There is a reasonable first step but the step from the and through the door is taller than currently would be acceptable although not insurmountable, mobility challenged folks would have greater difficulty and no wheeled services will not succeed enter to here. As the restaurant has no available seating I also note that the washrooms are not available for use either as they are behind the precautionary shields. Additionally at least the one is signed as out of order, this was visible from the pickup area. Overall highly recommended for value for the money and freshness of the ingredients. I'm no expert as to all types of Chinese food but I like to try find out the origin area of the staff as they would cook up flavours of their home area. I didn't find that out by asking but I suspect Hong Kong as that is the egg roll style it was huge! The spring rolls were about the size of four of the more common places.
