We popped in here and had a great experience. Nikki and her team member were both delightful and we enjoyed talking with them. We left with two bottles of vinegar - one orange and one fig. We are very happy with our purchase and look forward to our next visit! We love that you can try before you buy. read more

Spirits & Spice - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Sedona, Arizona

Everything was perfect! Spent $! They kept us happy! Kept thinking we were done!

I was in the area and had about 30 minutes until the store closed. I couldn't find it so I called the number, and the guy on the phone helped me find the store located inside the plaza. When I got there the staff greeted me and was very friendly and helpful. I got to try many samples of their delicious creme liqueurs and was not disappointed. I originally discovered spirits and spices when I was in Chicago, and the experience I had there was also great. I never leave empty handed. I hope to see you guys make a matcha creme liqueur sometime soon! And also, I would appreciate if you guys could open up a store in Scottsdale! Thank you guys once again. read more

I thought true customer service was a thing of the past--until I visited Spirits & Spice in Sedona, Arizona. This shop is an amazing concept with outstanding service. We were helped by Jennifer, who guided us through the entire space as if she were welcoming us into her own home. The store offers custom vinaigrettes, spirits, tequila, vodka, liqueurs--you name it, they have it. Jennifer provided generous samples of anything we wanted to try, whether it was something for a salad or something to mix into a drink. Her recommendations were down-to-earth, and she wasn't a pushy salesperson at all. She spoke to us like we were guests at a party she was hosting. Do note: the shop is small, so you'll need to be comfortable navigating close quarters with other customers and staff. There may be a short wait if the staff is helping others, but they do their best to juggle everyone's needs. The level of customer service here is truly unparalleled. My friend purchased some liqueurs and vodka, and I bought the lemon cucumber vinaigrette--it is to die for. I already know I'll be ordering more during the holiday season to send as gifts. The packaging is thoughtful: they seal the bottles with wax for protection (perfect for travel or shipping), and wrap everything with care. You can reorder exactly what you purchased online, or even call your associate directly and they'll help place your order. I highly recommend stopping by Spirits & Spice and enjoying the experience. It's a one-of-a-kind shop with unforgettable hospitality. read more

Service was great, very knowledgeable staff regarding their products. Tasting before buying the product is huge and guarantees you're going to like what you purchase. read more

Overpriced and the bottle lost almost all of its flavor only days latter would not recommend the staff was also quite rude ignoring me and wife for a older couple. TBH that should have been a red flag but we still purchased a bottle Root-beer whiskey that was far from cheap. When we got back to our home a few days later the flavor was far more muted with a sour off taste now present would not recommended unless you are stupidly rich or plan to drink an entire bottle in a night. read more

Spirits & Spice is always a staple stop on my Sedona trips. Their steak seasoning is one of the best, far better than anything I can find at the regular grocery store, and I always make sure to stock up. Their selection of olive oils and vinegars are also wonderful! Expansive selection, unique flavors, multiple sizes. They also have a small sampler that would be a great gift. I also highly recommend their liqueurs, the chocolate peppermint is delightful for sipping or added to coffee. They also have a great selection of other gifts, hand towels, hot sauces, bacon jam. Such a great place to peruse for yourself or for gifts. read more

This place is truly a gem. Every time I come to Sedona, this Spirits & Spice is a must-stop. Jenn helped my husband and I this last time and she's awesome! Not only at identifying things we might like, but also what goes well together Will definitely be back, and not just for the samples read more

Everything is right about this place "try before you buy" spirits plus shop. Small batch spirits along with balsamic and Olive Oils. A little bit of everything. This is truly an education in artisanal spirits. Employees are really nice and knowledgeable. The place gets packed and part of the experience is learning about what they carry which can cause the wait to be a bit long, but it's well worth it. I left with at least 7 bottles. Fun And well worth the visit. Jen was exceptional helping us dial in our selections. Bravo Jib well done read more

This place is just lots of fun. Adorable gifts for adults! This place is super unique and absolutely you should visit here if you appreciate the intricacies of olive oil, basalmic, liqueurs of the most amazing flavors, cognac and tequila. Wait for it... you can taste anything before you buy it! Let's just say it's a lot of fun. Plenty of staff to handle the tour bus crowds that empties out in groups. It's beautiful inside and sells things you can't find anywhere else; at least not in the United States. Additionally, the shopping center itself is beautiful! Definitely worth your time! read more

This place is such a gem! I'm not the type who really likes the taste of whiskey but this place truly made me a fan. I loved the Old Fashion and 2 Bitch that I sampled. I also loved their peanut butter whiskey! Finding this place was awesome to stop in and get a nice gift for people back home. They also ship free with orders over $200! Will be back and will bring more people to enjoy! read more

Spirits & Spice - Craft Whiskeys - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Sedona, Arizona

What an unassuming place! We just arrived into town from Vegas/Hawaii, so were roaming around her and came across this spot. Most of our 12 friends stayed outside or looked around but, one girlfriend stayed in there for an hour. I was like "WTH is she doing in there?" Let me tell u she was sampling some really delicious oils --- calamansi, lemon, and hickory were some of our tops! AND there was samples of liquor, too. That first day, we got 3 bottles and cracked them open back at our hotel. Had a make shift charcuterie board in our hotel room and had our very own "happy hour!" Lol We ended up going back there every day of our trip because the other girls wanted to get some bottles. Long story short, we left with a COOLER of oils to bring home for Christmas gifts!!!! Best part is there's a shop back home, in Vegas! Winner!!!!!! read more

Stopped by looking to buy some bottles of Mead as a gift and I found exactly what I was looking for. I wish I remembered the guy who helped me because he was super sweet and very helpful, I think he had dark hair and glasses. What a fun adult shop! I sampled quite a few spirits. The girl helping me was fun! I decided on a Nevada bourbon right away. Then I sampled liquors to give as gifts. I selected a couple of those. They offer free shipping above $129, which is super easy to reach. Convenient for me with flying. Fun place! Just be careful not to over sample! read more

The beauty of winging a trip is that you become open to possibilities. I wandered into Spirits and Spice and discovered a plethora of spirits and spices! Lol. Friendly staff, wide selection and the fact that it's not a major brand made shopping easy. Just like any brewery or distillery, careful in how much you sample! read more

We were upstairs visiting the bookstore/ record store, and as we were descending the stairs, we looked through the window and saw these tiny caskets. Stephen wondered what it was, and I suggested we take a peek. Once side of the store has spices and oils. The other side has spirits, from whiskey to liqueurs. That's what Stephen gravitated toward. Caroline helped us, and I don't know if she was following us as part of a customer service experience, or making sure we were not riff raff? Well regardless, she knew her stuff, and described various boozy beverages to us. Stephen tried a few liqueurs and whiskys (he should have gone for the higher end ones, but didn't) and we ended up going home with 4 bottles. Pricey place, but then again, what place in Sedona isn't? We discovered they have a store in Vegas, and they ship to California, too! read more

Several trips to this area and never checked out this place until now. The staff was friendly and gave several pointers on the types of drinks, foods you can make with these beverages. They even had absinthe.... And it's the real deal. Now the question you gotta ask is am I mean enough to try it? One day... Maybe one day lol. Definitely will return the next time we are in town. read more

The most charming liquor purchase experience I've ever had. My wife and I spoke with an employee, Jennifer, for twenty minutes about choices, tasted the Lime Tequila they have as well as a Black Truffle Oil and Garlic Vinegar variant, and we ended up buying six items. It's an incredibly cute, niche location, and I'll be willing to drive here from Phoenix for my liquor rather than buy in-city. read more

We stopped here on a whim after we saw a woman clutching a bag with the name on it, and we were absolutely delighted when we walked in and the saleswoman, Wendy, said, "Everything is try-before-you-buy, so what do you want to taste?" We tried some bourbon, tequila, flavored vodka, and wine, and ultimately bought three bottles of wine, a tequila, a bourbon, and some vodka. Seriously, we couldn't have asked for more fun people to talk to (shout out to Julie who was also delightful), better samples of liqueur, and a perfect experience after hiking in Sedona. Highly recommend you stop by! read more

I enjoyed this little store on my weekend getaway to Sedona. The manager David pepper was the person who helped me during my visit. I knew I wanted to pick up a whiskey but I wasn't sure which one I wanted. So through sampling I chose a bottle of MB Roland; a single barrel Kentucky Straight Burbon Whiskey. I chose to go with a cask strength which is a 111.8 proof (55.9% alcohol). After a bunch of different samplings I chose this one because of their complex flavor. There were several other bourbons I enjoyed but this one caught my attention. Only 96 bottles produced and this one set itself apart from the others. I also picked up a bottle of Ginger look war that I think will be a fabulous addition to my Moscow mules. They had a bunch of different liquours, spices, oils, and vinegars. Pretty much everything they had could be flavored in some sort of fashion. One thing I noticed about other reviewers is they were giving low ratings based on the cost of the products. One thing you have to remember is these small businesses are subject to high operating costs based on the location they are in. If the cost bothers you shop somewhere else. It's all about the experience; I remember once buying a bottle of Tequila in Vegas for $300 knowing that I could get it elsewhere for a $180. I was in Vegas having fun with my friends so I bought it end of story. I didn't complain or leave negative reviews because buyer beware I knew better. read more

Super cool concept! Love that you can get different sizes of liquors and whiskey after a taster. Prices were quite steep however. $33 for 100ml of specialty flavored liquor and $44-90ish for 100ml of whiskey. Love the concept though. read more

Located in Tlapaque complex in Sedona. Cute little shopping area filled with cute and unique shops. Came upon this shop that makes oils, vinegars and alcohol. Service was excellent and the staff very knowledgeable in their products. They offer free sampling's of all their products. I opted for the truffle garlic oil, which was so rich and flavorful! I also picked up some coffee and cinnamon liquor to mix in with coffee! Looking for unique gifts and flavors seek them out. Our bonus? It snowed while there! read more

One of the worst retail experiences I have ever had. I am not sure if it was prejudging me by the clothes I wore on my hike or the color of my skin but the dude working the liquor area completely ignored despite being urged twice by a former coworker turned customer to offer me a sample of the bourbon he was going on and on and on about. It is kind of surprising that this kind of ignorance and unprofessional behavior exists in a place as beautiful as Sedona but it obviously does. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else. There are other places who employ better human beings. read more

Came into this shop after being recommended it by our jeep tour guide. Super cute shop with a great idea and cool vibe. One lady was extremely helpful and friendly with our group with tequila. Another lady working the front was nothing but rude. I am more of an olive oil lover than tequila, so I was looking at the selection of olive oils. The lady at the front didn't say a single word to me after I was looking for quite some time. I eventually asked her how it works, if I could try a sample after she had greeted and asked the following 2 customers if she could help them. Her response to me was just staring at me, not a single word came out of her mouth. I proceeded to say "can I try one?" And she finally responded "ya! I was waiting for you to tell me which one you wanted!" In a super rude attitude. I tried the roasted garlic olive oil, and as I was trying it she just walked away. Little did she know, I drink olive oil for the health benefit and intended to buy a couple bottles to take home. She was no where to be found when I wanted to try another and never asked how I liked it etc. customer service from this lady was awful. Needless to say, some in our party walked out with a couple bottles of tequila, and I walked out with nothing and a horrible customer service experience. She hardly even gave me the time of day! read more

While there we could not resist purchasing their Two Bitch Bourbon (if you're a Maker's Mark fan, this is for you), Shake Your Peaches Liqueur and Mango Pineapple Cream Liqueur. Yummy! This place is ultra-unique. Sip till you find what you like, and you will like a lot of it! Wines, Bourbons, Vinegars, oils, liqueurs, even some novelty or exclusive foods and spices - curated concoctions that will stir your palate at home. This is a must visit when visiting Tlaquepaque. So glad I walked in instead of walking past; they have a knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and a great selection of spirits (and other things, but keeping it real I'm not that audience demographic). They have a unique scotch and whiskey selection. I was able to describe the flavor profile in a liqueur that I wanted and they hit the nail on the head. (Not gonna pretend the fact they were super generous in letting me try them first didn't help). Overall a fun vibe and a great place if you like different boutique spirits. Worth your time if this is the case!! read more

It seems like every time I go here, someone shows me a fantastic flavor of whiskey, and I end up buying it. This isn't a bad thing, except that there's still so many to try... and I only have so much room in my pantry. If you like quality alcohol, give this place a try. I'll admit, I haven't checked out the Spice side of the store, but I have no doubt it's as amazing as the other side. read more

The girl giving samples in this store touches the rims of the cups and touches her face and lips repeatedly. When I told her that I'd like to take my own sample cup, she asked her manager, confused as to why I didn't want her touching my cup. I explained to her manager what happened, who proceeded to get offended and angry about what I just said. Insane how unhygienic they are, and how they don't even care when you approach them about it. As if I'm crazy to want to be careful. read more

I am really shocked at the lower rated reviews for this shop, but I suppose most of them are older from when this was a Vom Fass location. A friend and I went up to Sedona this past weekend and she had mentioned she found a cool store last time she was in town that she bought this great specialty liqueur from. Being in several Vom Fass shops before I recognized the uniqueness of the set up and hand written bottle labels, even though this is a different franchise. Since Sedona is currently under strict Covid protocol guidelines from their mayor a mask is required to enter, (anywhere in Sedona right now) which wasn't a big deal for us and we appreciated everyone adhering to this. They also had the door roped off and were only allowing 6 people in at a time. They also had specific tasting designated areas for you to stand while your mask was removed. I went in not expecting to buy anything and left after dropping almost $200. I believe the gentleman helping us was Gabe and he was SO knowledgeable. Even helping us find oils and mixing them for us to taste to pair with the balsamic's we had already selected. I ended up with the prickly pear balsamic, the blood orange balsamic, the basil oil, the lemon oil, and the jalapeño oil. All of which taste amazing mixed with each balsamic. I've never been so exited to eat salads all week. I also ended up with a tzatziki spice blend and a rose liqueur. I will definitely be back when I'm in the area again, such a great gem only being a couple hours from Phoenix. It is also wonderful that you can order online and they'll ship to you. However I think the in store experience really justifies the pricing for these items. Is it slightly higher than others? Yes, however it's extremely premium quality stuff and that paired with the experience we had made all the difference in the world for me to buy. read more

5 stars in my book! I am so surprised by all the negative reviews for VOM FASS Sedona, although many of the 1 and 2 star reviews are several years old. I've visited this store a handful of times in the last two years and I have always received stellar service! My last visit was early March 2018 and it was excellent as always. Deborah helped me pick out three olive oils and a few seed oils and vinegars. She was patient while I tried different samples and made me feel like a valued customer! When I walked past the storefront in Tlaquepaque in March 2018, I panicked thinking VOM FASS had closed! Nope - no need to panic! They just rebranded and renamed their store to "Spirits & Spice" so they could sell their spice line in addition to oils, vinegars and liquors. I really love all the products I've tried here, including: multiple olive oils, pumpkin seed oil, hazelnut oil, mango vinegar, apple vinegar and raspberry vinegar. The products are very high quality and very fresh. Even though the olive oils are more expensive than what you can find at a generic grocery store, they're worth every penny! I love to cook and it makes a huge difference when you've got great oil and vinegar options! My boyfriend likes their liquors and has purchased several different bottles of whiskey and tequila. I'm not a huge alcohol fan but my BF reports that everything he's tried at VOM FASS/Spirits & Spice has been excellent. FYI - if you save your bottles and bring them back clean for a refill, you'll get a discount! They also have a rewards system that gives you money back (as a discount) if you spend a certain $ amount. I believe it's $50 off once you've spent $250, but don't hold me to that! If you're visiting Sedona, be sure to stop by the store for some free samples! But don't be surprised if you end up liking everything and spending all your vacation money here! read more

We only had a short time to spend in Sedona. I'm glad this is one of the few stores we stoped in. First of all the selection is a bit overwhelming. On one side are olive oils and spices. The other side has a huge selection of spirits. We are visiting from NY so the first question is can they ship to NY. YES they do. They offer free shipping for orders over $120 with a $8 signage fee. ALL of the products are available to sample! The manager Joe was very eager to have us try samples. He suggested some combinations that we absolutely delicious. We could have spent way more here but due to limited time we bought enough for the free shipping. Joe was great to work with. We will absolutely be back to Sedona and Spirit and Spice is at the top of the list of places to visit. read more

Wow wow wow! Great stop to grab gifts for yourself or for someone else! If they love whiskey or they love cooking, THIS IS THE SPOT! There's such a wide selection of flavors! It's just amazing! I loved that there was a limit on how many people can be inside due to COVID and employees and everyone were wearing masks (yes it's enforced here!) if tasting, they created tasting spots where you can safely take your mask off to taste. Only issue was it can get quite busy! There were only two employees available and being Labor Day weekend, it got quite busy! If they're helping someone, it may take a bit of time before you can get help. But service is great and they're so attentive! read more
