My girlfriend and I were in Santee a little over a week ago to see some of her family and we managed to get away from her kids so we could go out on our own for a bit. We went next door to Coasters first as we really only intended to get some good food, but decided to check out "spinners" because, well, she swings that way. Note: this was on a saturday night.
No. Just, no.
Sure, we got let in through Coasters because we ate there and thus didn't have to pay to get in, but that's about the second highlight of the evening. The first was the food in the restaurant. HOWEVER, we were totally let down the entire half hour we were in "spinners." Maybe it was 45 minutes? Not sure. Goddamn boring is what it was.
There were a total of three or four girls that were working and I say working very loosely. There was a group of 4-6 guys at the bar that seemed to be a mix of standard chumps and alpha males and that's where the girls were hanging around. At one point there was a pair of guys sitting at a table and a girl hung around them thinking there'd be easy money. Mind you, my girl and I were sitting DIRECTLY ACROSS from the dance pole and not once did anyone make a move towards her or I despite us being a young-ish couple in a strip club. She also didn't get any attention when she went to the bar, alone, to get a drink.
(Advice for you girls, if you want guaranteed money that includes tips for dancing and probably a private dance then you move your ass towards the couple that're sitting alone. They're obviously there for something and *probably* have a little money to burn.)
The ONE girl that got on the pole barely did anything and was really only up there because the guy who she was hanging onto asked her to get on the pole. Sad. At least she got a couple dollars from my girl.
Had the girls working there given a damn, one or two of them could've made a little money that night. I mean, I understand that weak excuse for a gentleman's club is really only going to get it's best business during prime golf season, but come on. Really. You grind your hips a bit on the lap of the older guy sitting alone but don't do a damn thing to the younger guy and girl that're 15 feet away?
At least this place wasn t nearly as ghetto as El Dorado in baltimore. God, that was horrible. Still, the fact remains that "spinners" needs to retrain their dancers to actually give a shit about the people that're in their establishment.
And closing at midnight on a saturday? Freaking lame. read more
