I wish I could give 0 stars to this establishment. Dr. G is flat out the worst doctor I've met in…read moremy life. I'm dealing with brain cancer and have a rare nerve condition in my face. My doctor referred me here to see if they could have a different outlook on the pain management. My first appointment we arrived early as requested by the staff. I filled out a few pieces of paper then waited an hour to see the doctor. Not reading any of the paperwork I filled he starts asking me questions I've already written for him. I see the doctor for less than 2 minutes, he hands me a cup to pee in and says "I'll see you in 3 weeks" My second appointment we arrive early, and again wait an hour to see the doctor. Dr. G enters the room and starts talking about headaches. I said, "I'm not here for headaches I'm here for facial pain." He starts talking about taking over my pain management from my PCP. I asked, "what are you going to do to help with the pain?" Dr. G suggests that we put a nerve blocker in my temple where the nerve comes out of our skull. It won't work because the trigeminal nerve was cut at my brain stem! Why is he offering an invasive procedure that wouldn't even work? Did this "qualified" doctor even read my extensive paperwork? I can tell he didn't read up on my case, even though it's my second visit. He wanted to take me off my anti seizure meds!!! Um, he's not a neurologist and shouldn't be trying to play as one. I got angry and explained a nerve blocker won't work because the nerve was cut at my brain stem. He gets up an proceeds to walk out. No care, no empathy, no compassion. Upon leaving I ask the staff if there is a more senior doctor, or one well equipped to take my case on. The staff explains he is the senior doc on staff. This is very sad and scary for those who need help and are in pain. And, have to deal with arrogant, pompous doctors. Do not waste your time or money here.

This place should be shut down. Christian Garrido is a PA, not a Dr. He's arrogant, talks over u, &…read moreshuts u down. You know how u want to feel heard, understood, & cared about by your Dr? That does NOT happen here. They're rude & aggressive, I left 3 of my 4 appts in tears. They obviously have disgust for ppl in pain. Christian likes to act like we're all stupid, but I've been in gifted edu my whole life & my IQ tests above 140. So no sir, you're not smarter than me. Lol. He's a PA masquerading as a doctor, residing over the kiddie table of his profession, while I'm a successful director/writer, & work with A list actors, producers, and industry professionals. I am proud of my work. I wouldn't guess HE is proud of HIS work. ‍ "Note to self", If everyone hates you & says u treat them badly, maybe the problem is you? And maybe it's time to make a change? The 1st visit they're more reassuring, they tell u things they'll do to help u, then make u come back in 2 wks, when they change what they said at the first appt. 2 times he told me what he was calling in for me, but when I called the pharmacy he had totally changed what he said, so I had to call back and forth to figure it out. Never had that happen b4, ever. And he wanted to give me a med i previously had an allergic reaction to, yrs ago, so i asked him if he was SURE I should take it because I had a prior allergic reaction. He assured me that yes its safe, this is a patch & not a pill like b4, i will be fine, he said. But guess what? I DID have allergic reactions, and i was terrified. I went into what seemed to be anaphylaxis, and it was ALL because of him. I could have died & I hope my family would've sued. My next appt, I saw the woman PA (Alliah?) who was very aggressive, trying to make it seem it's my fault, she only seemed to want to cover their butts, & didnt care about ME. I tried to ask why he changed the other meds from what he said in the first appt too, and she refused to answer. Maybe they like to play with ppls minds. It's sick. For some reason i looked at my after visit notes on Mychart (which I NEVER do), & saw she had made up a whole section "meds tried and failed", where she listed all these meds that she says I've tried and failed, & NONE ARE TRUE. I was shocked. I didnt understand why she'd make stuff up..what would that do for them? Except maybe to create a new narrative of why Christian prescribed me something that almost killed me, knowing I had allergic reax b4? Maybe she thinks it will look like they had no other choice? That's the only thing I could think of, I hadn't tried ANY of the meds she listed (& she even put what the reax supposedly WAS to each one too. Lol. I hadn't even heard of some of the meds on her list of lies! I decided to find another clinic, obviously, & my last appt w/ Christian was super weird. But I made sure to tell him ALL my feelings about how they treated me, b4 I left. Of course he tried to shut me down, minimalize and dismiss me, but I stood firm. I told him they CAN'T treat patients that way, that ppl in extreme pain are very vulnerable & should be treated with respect, listened to, & above all be treated KINDLY. So this part is almost funny. When I left, he told me what he called in for my last script, but when I called the pharmacy, they told me it was WAY less than what he said. So again i call to see WTF that guy is doing. I find out that not only had he lowered my meds by like 20% after i left, (after telling them all my thoughts lol) but he also made me pick up half at a time 2 wks apart, which I NEVER did b4. They said he thought I may be suicidal, lol, because I told him a lot of patients with pain had depression, anxiety or could even be suicidal, & that is a reason to be MORE kind & patient with them. Ugh. That guy. So he used that to tell me a final "F U", lol. SUPER petty. The idea that this is a medical professional treating vulnerable people is infuriating. I wouldn't hire him to clean up after my dogs. So, It was a HORRIBLE experience. Probably the worst I've had in a medical situation. I was extremely bothered by it all, couldn't sleep, & was having bad anxiety about how I was treated (or mistreated). But a few days later I remembered the scene in good will hunting, where Robin Williams said that what Will said in their appt really bothered him until he realized Will was just a punk and had no idea about life or anything, so then he slept well. And I thought that was very apropos. Christian Garrido is just someone to feel sorry for. Anyone who likes to hurt other people must be so messed up inside. So I'm not going to let someone like him live in my head. But 1st I had to write a review of the horror I went through. Hopefully it can help someone else. (PS, My last call to them, a recording said "the number you've called has been identified as likely a scam, it is recommended u hang up now" & when they call my phone identified it as "scam likely", which is pretty suspicious

My three year old son needed dental work. His dentist uses Apex at her office for general…read moreanesthesia services (which are required at my son's age). Leading up to the procedure Apex was good with communication, paperwork and confirmation. We arrived early morning on a Wednesday to have the procedure. We were given instructions on holding and comforting our son as he was being put under. Once he was asleep everything seemed to go smoothly and was over in a couple of hours. We were asked to come back to where he was waking up. I was told my son had just been given a narcotic which I found a bit odd since nothing had been mentioned in the waiting room. That day my son was of course groggy and tired. Later that night, 12 hours after surgery he had fallen asleep. He woke gasping and coughing and couldn't calm down like a panic attack or asthma, nothing like I have seen before. After quite some time we decided to call 911. My son calmed down and the paramedics said that his vitals all looked good, so we did not end up going to the ER. Strange waking from sleep, anxiety and pain continued for about 72 hours after the procedure. Drug sensitivity/allergies/reactions can happen, that I understand. However there is a much bigger reason you should never use Apex: should you have an emergency after general anesthesia they will be completely useless to you. After speaking to Apex's on-call anesthesiologist, he told me he would call me in the morning to figure out what might have gone wrong and what narcotic was administered. He didn't have access to our records. I never received a call back from anyone with a medical background that next day (Thursday). What I did receive was a phone call from a rather unprofessional office employee at Apex who called to ask "how is your son doing?" I told the woman my son's experience, and that I was very anxious over 24 hours later to find out what narcotic had been administered. She said that nobody in the office had received the logs yet, but that they would get back to us as soon as possible to discuss. It is now midnight on Sunday. Nobody ever called us after that 911 incident to discuss what part the drugs may have played or what drug was administered. These are young children we are talking about undergoing general anesthesia, and there is zero protocol or system for actual problems occurring after you leave the anesthesiologist. I'm both disturbed and concerned about this company's negligence and incompetence. BEWARE!!!!!
