My sister had developed some brown spots on her back, along with a small skin lesion on the side of her nose and a larger wort type growth on her forearm. She hates going to doctors, especially for every little thing. Our sister who has assisted her with care since she lost her husband 4 yrs ago, said she was concerned about some of the areas and we should really get them looked at soon. Her nurse practitioner recommended she go to a dermatologist because some looked concerning. I tried to get an appointment for her but had very little luck since the few dermatologists in the area were not able to see her for 4-6 months. A relative recommended Rash Decisions and Dr. Marchand. She drives from her Dallas office to her Beaumont office a couple of days a month. Her website gave me a clear list of services up front, including the cost for a full body skin cancer check, which was what she needed. I was lucky enough to get an appointment for her the following weekend, when the Doctor happened to be in town. My sister has a very low tolerance for pain, but Dr. Marchand was very understanding and gentle. I feel like she took her time and was not rushed and fully explained every concern we had. She reassured us that the moles and brown spots were normal part of aging for some people. She removed the two areas her doctor's office was concerned about. They were sent to pathology to be checked further (with her insurance covering that part). My sister said she felt like she was in good hands the whole time and we were glad she didn't have to wait 4 or more months to be seen. We are so happy to have found Rash Decisions and highly recommend Dr. Marchand, especially If you don't want to wait 6 months and are concerned about skin cancer or you need to get in to see a dermatologist quickly, for any dermatology services. However when I arrived at 115, not only was I not on the list, but I was not permitted to go upstairs and purchase the expensive item I needed AND the office staff was IN THE OFFICE. UPDATE! I received a phone call from Dr. Marchand's office very apologetic for the mixup. I received erroneous information from someone on staff. The office made amends that greatly benefitted me and I am satisfied.

Soon the pain was simply intolerable. I was accustomed to walking about five miles a day with my aging, but still feisty and very strong rat terrier. She can be a handful if you don't watch it. It got to the point where I just couldn't walk her anymore, and I couldn't take my morning walks even by myself. Something had to be done. I found Dr. Rizk and got evaluated and became a candidate for hip replacement. To be honest I was a little nervous maybe even reluctant about the procedure. I had all kinds of post care and quality of life questions. Each and every question was answered with affirmative responses, and so I went into the procedure with a bit more ease and came out on the other side even better than I was before. I dont have the debilitating pain, and reduction in motion from the original condition, and my quality of life is restored. It is my opinion that Dr. Rizk is a very skilled and talented Orthopedic Surgeon and I feel very fortunate to have such a talented doctor in the Beaumont area. This was my second knee replacement by Dr. Rizk. I had my right knee replacement 5 years ago. I had all the the shots in the right knee that seem to help with the pain when walking. When my right leg at the knee started to bow out I knew it was time have the knee replaced. I started asking questions to various people that had gone through knee replacement surgery. I was given different doctors names and most were located in the Big City of Houston. I choose Dr. Rizk of Beaumont because my wife's parents had their successful knee replacement surgery done by Dr. Rizk. Almost 5 years later I was having a lot of pain in my left knee. I tried the shots, however I was told by the doctor the left knee was bone on bone and knee replacement was the only option left. I then contacted Dr. Rizk who preformed the knee surgery. At the time of this writing I am proud to report the left knee replacement was successful too. You might say this has become a family affair because Dr. Rizk also performed my wife's right knee replacement also. I have had problems with my eyes for over 2 years due to an autoimmune disease. He just dismissed it and said that it's allergies and told me to get some drop over the counter that cost $25.99. I am now in the process of trying to go see a specialist in Houston because the Dr here don't seem to really want to listen to what I have to tell them. I have had so many test done on my eyes and asked him to get them from my other Dr in Las Vegas and he straightened out said no I don't need them it's just allergies. I left there broken hearted and with still infected eyes and when I told him I was out of the drops that normally help he just brushed it off. So my primary care Dr. Does listen and he sent a script in so I could get them. Maybe don't be so cocky and listen to your patients. Just take the time to act like you care.

Due to my need for relief from leg pain, I agreed to be seen by one Dr. Aziz, a Steward SETMA staff internist. AGREEING TO SEE DR. AZIZ at STEWARD SETMA WAS A BIG HUGE MISTAKE! Aziz's "waiting room" is a dampish spare room across the hall from the Check-In desk. Half of the room's overhead light bulbs were dead, so the room is dark. And dusty. TV mounted on the wall, ..."not in service" ... says a paper hand-printed sign taped to the screen. Floor and mismatched chairs: dusty. No security in waiting room. No phone. No room attendant. Occasionally a sullen woman appears out of the exam area, semi-verbally mumbles a patient name, then disappears back to whence she came. Aziz the internist was an hour late for our 9:30am appointment. No starched white lab coat for Aziz: he is wearing a rumpled, mismatched brown plaid suit (hmm, What kinds of bacteria are clinging to that wrinkled outfit?). Aziz wears no ID badge. After a brief discussion and a cursory exam of my hip, leg and knee, Aziz diagnoses my pain as being caused by my right knee. OK, thanks. I'll get knee replacement process started with my orthopedic surgeon. In the meantime, I ask, can you give me medication to help ease the leg pain? Aziz prescribes the drug Tramadol. But Aziz does not call in my prescription to the pharmacy. In fact, Aziz ignored my pain and did not call in the prescription to the pharmacy on Monday, nor on Tuesday, nor on Wednesday, nor on Thursday, nor on Friday NOR did he call it in even on Saturday! My pain was depriving me of sleep by now. But I made calls to Steward SETMA to chase after the status of my scrip every day, sometimes twice and even three times a day. Aziz and the woman answering the phone at Aziz's office were uncooperative and surly. On Thursday the woman began yelling at me, repeating that she could do nothing. Nothing! They sure know how to make a guy feel helpless... All they needed to do was call in the scrip. I even gave them Walgreen's phone number. Friday was no different. I tried on Friday to stress to 3 different Steward SETMA staff members that when Steward SETMA closes at noon, I'll remain in pain all weekend. And still, nobody called in my prescription. Nobody cared. ADVICE: Steward SETMA is NOT the SETMA of Dr. Holly! Stay away from Steward SETMA. The owner Steward Health Care, LLC owns clinics in other States that have BBB ratings of B- or less. In Boston patients filed 26 total BBB complaints in the last 3 years 2017, 2018,2019. You may want to do a Steward investigation of your own. *** *** *** *** A STEWARD SETMA RECAP: I was in No. 7 pain on a Monday. I was prescribed a pain reliever by Steward SETMA on Monday.
