Tucked away off Kendall and university right by wing stop and GameStop there's a neatly decorated facility called Los Tacos. You really can't see the inside but the outside gives it a nice outside lunch experience. I finally went inside and saw the space! Not only that but they do have TVs and have the games on. Again this place has lots of potential. I don't know if it's just advertising or just not enough word of mouth but the food is good! Just missing agua fresca! But check the photos out and see for yourself . Definitely give it a go!

First let's talk price - this burrito comes in just shy of $18. $18 is steep but with the economy being what it is I'm willing to roll the dice and pray the food is decent. This my friends was not it. Burrito was almost as flat as a pancake. The smallest chunks of meat were inside (maybe 1oz worth if I'm being generous). There was maybe a sliver of beans and cheese? Mostly this burrito was rice and again, so thin that not that much of that either. The actual chile???? Where was it???? Also so small it was like a side note. This burrito was so thin and lacking in ingredients that it should have been $8 dollars at most. So my question is, is this the norm or were they just running out of ingredients tonight? Positives I will give this place - tortilla for the burrito was fresh and delicious - just enough of a crisp on it too. The red and green salsa were both fire. They had a heat to them that you don't find much anymore. Overall - I'd come back for a taco since they are small and open faced but Never ever ever ever a burrito.

The city doesn't have the best reputation, so I was looking for somewhere good, affordable, and safe. After checking reviews, I chose this place. It's your typical neighborhood spot -- pretty small, about the size of a Subway. Not a sit-down Sunday dinner place, more of a quick lunch-break spot. And with all the apartments across the street, I'm guessing most of their business is "grab it and go." Prices were super reasonable, which I really appreciated since everywhere feels overpriced now. I got 3 fish tacos and 1 carne asada taco. The carne asada was very flavorful. The fish tacos were 3/5 stars -- not bad, but missing something. I think the tortilla and it could've used more cream sauce. My son got the carne asada fries. They were pretty good with a generous portion of meat. My daughter got a carne asada torta and her food was delicious. Heads up: the tables inside aren't wheelchair accessible. Overall, this is a great "stop by real quick" spot for good, delicious, affordable food. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area.

We got the grilled pollo burrito with fries in it, adobada tacos & fried fish tacos. When we got home, to our surprise the food was still slightly warm. The burrito was a great size, would get the burrito without fries inside next time they give you more than enough! The adobada meat was flavorful, didn't come with cilantro & onion but that may have been something I could have requested on the side. The fish tacos were great too, topped with a balanced cabbage topping. The creamy chipotle sauce is so freaking good! The other salsas were good too, not as hot as we preferred. My husband got down to get the food and he said it was packed! So we were glad to order ahead. We will def be back, there's literally not any authentic Mexican food places around, oh and can't forget the tortillas are homemade!!!

I arrived to my destination to eat my tacos I open up the foil and this is what I found very messy and disgusted I couldn't even pick it up to eat one because it was so so messy so I wrap them back up in the same foil and came back to the restaurant. I informed that cashier lady that I wanted my tacos redone by placing them correctly. The cooker ended up just separating same tacos and putting them in a plate I told him no that's not how you serve tacos when you have 3 different meats especially if they're in some sauce. Then another kind gentleman came and said he will go ahead and make three new tacos individually wrapped. I apologize for not getting his name Carmelo was not happy with me but either was I with him So here are some photos on how I receive in the beginning and then how I received at the end.

One major difference though: this is authentic Mexican food. We paid about $50 for two burritos, chips, and two large aguas frescas. Honestly, we could have split one meal. The amount is easily enough for two meals. They definitely do not skimp on the meat. I had the carnitas, and my son had carne asada and shrimp, chips, a strawberry lemon & a pineapple orange agua fresca I forgot to ask for cheese until after they had wrapped my burrito, and they gave me a whole container of it. I opened my burrito back up to add the cheese and figured I might as well add the salsa while I was at it. Perfect additions (in my opinion. Put it what you like) Once we hit the halfway point, my son wisely wrapped up the rest of his burrito to take home. Since I was headed straight to the airport and didn't want to carry mine, I decided to power through. Mistake. I made it maybe another quarter of the way before I had to admit defeat. I also couldn't finish my strawberry-lemon agua fresca, and since I knew I couldn't take it through airport security, my son went home with two delicious, practically full aguas frescas. You could tell this was a good local spot. We arrived just before the lunch rush, and soon groups of people started coming in wearing construction gear, scrubs, and other work attire. It clearly has a strong local following. Classic Mexican music playing through the speakers completed the atmosphere. Great portions, generous meat, authentic food, and definitely a place worth trying.

Super flavorful and well seasoned. There is a small parking lot inside/behind the business. Anyways. I wish they had ONE salsa that wasn't spicy. Maybe the green tomatillo one was mild but other than that theyre all spicy. My husband's burrito was fire. He used the red spicy salsa. My tacos were fire. After a long week and zero desire to cook on a Friday night, I finally decided to give it a try. When I pulled up, the line was surprisingly short, which felt like a good sign. The order window is right out front, and the menu is simple and familiar: tacos, burritos, sopes, tortas, quesabirria. I ordered a little bit of almost everything: asada street tacos, a bean and cheese burrito, beans and rice, an asada mulita, an al pastor sope, and a quesabirria. Prices were reasonable, and I spent under $50 for the whole spread. Food came out in about 15 minutes and was packed neatly. The disappointment started once I got home. There was no salsa in the bags, which already put us at a disadvantage. Only then did I realize there's apparently a salsa bar inside along with a small seating area, something you don't see from the front order window. Had I known that, I would've grabbed what we needed before leaving. Then we opened the tacos and realized they came completely plain... no onion, no cilantro, nothing. Just tortillas and meat. Not exactly what I expected. Visually, everything else looked fine, so I was hoping the flavor would make up for it... but it didn't. Everything tasted bland, like the seasoning took the night off. The only thing I halfway enjoyed was the beans and rice, and my family felt the same way. Maybe my expectations were too high based on the crowds I always see, but everything tasted like tortillas, meat, and cheese... and not much else. I'll give them credit for fair pricing and quick service, but that's about it. I really wish the cashier had mentioned that the tacos come plain or pointed me toward the salsa setup. Overall, not the experience I expected, and not one I'd rush back for.
