The walking paths wind through lovely green areas filled with mature trees and seasonal flowers. I particularly appreciated how quiet and relaxing the park felt despite being close to the city center. It is an ideal place for a leisurely stroll or a short break while exploring Oslo. The natural beauty and royal setting make this a very special location. I left with great memories and plenty of photographs.

Take a walk on the property and just soak in the nature while at it. There are horses and cows here as well. Fun for adults and kids. I really enjoyed the guided tour through the house, however don't expect a gigantic mansion like the ones you find abroad. This is Norway, and we used to be a poor country before the oil was found in 1969. While in the area, there is a country store 5 minutes even further down the road. Delicious roast beef, Reke (prawns) and bagettes. But leave room for the amazing cakes. Leading up to Christmas the farm hosts a typical christmas fare. Lots of warm food and handcrafts to buy and the best Gløgg i have ever had. Ask the wonderful ladies serving if you can try the "special" one. They make one for the kids without alchohol...and one for us!! :)
