People with no boating experience, BE AWARE…read more This review is not meant to hurt the business -- this is meant to prep newbies for some things we wish the business had prepped us for. This review is intended for people who are new to boating, and who do not have a license other than the one HP Powersports will provide you for the day. There are some things that are likely to happen which will result in your $269 (+tax and fuel) rental turning into a $700(+) rental. HP Powersports will not give a lot of detail for best ways to protect his boats - he is used to renting to experienced boaters. He talks very quickly, does not repeat much nor emphasize much, and focuses on how *not to get lost* ... **NOT how to protect his boats.*** It is VERY easy to damage the propellor blades on the outboard motor - ***you will not know you are close to the rocks and weeds.*** So when he gives you directions to just stay in the middle of the water-way, so as not to get lost - what he is also saying is, **DO NOT get close to shore AT ALL because there is a HIGH likelihood you will damage the prop blades and get weeds caught-up in the blades.** At the time we rented a pontoon boat (Sept 2021), he had two boats available to rent and rented them in half-day intervals. That means there are max 28 rental opportunities per week. When we returned the pontoon, only to find the price inflated to $700 because we had apparently driven over rocks and weeds, he showed FOUR such damaged prop blades on the wall and said that we were the FIFTH to happen in ONE week. So, assuming he did not rent all 28 times in one week, it would seem there is almost a 20% (1 in 5) likelihood you will be paying $700+ for your 4-hour boat rental. Perhaps your best bet is don't rent from HP Powersports if you have no experience and no license. Either that or stay in the DEEPEST water you can, and be prepared to pay **A LOT** for your 4-hour excursion. With the small amount of instruction HP Powersports gave us, we wouldn't have done anything differently. We truly had NO idea we had driven over rocks or weeds. Unfortunately, it has left a pretty bad taint to what we thought was 4 hours of fun to see the Thousand Islands from the water ... only to find out the rental went from $269 to $700.

I early on, had difficulty in returning products that I found inadequate because I would have to mail them back or drive long distance to return them. I do not have that problem now. The new policy of "not being undersold" eliminates any complaint of "expensive marine related products". Browsing and seeing the product is a very essential part of a purchase to me and the store offers that. There are some items that can be purchased on line without a physical contact and you can do that through the store also. Last of all the staff at this store is exceptional. If they can't answer your question, they will help you find the answer. Just ask!

This year, we decided to transition from renters to owners, and so we bought a Mastercraft NXT20 from Len's. I've got to say---I can't imagine a better purchasing experience! The team at Len's really has this process dialed, and made it very clear and easy for my wife and I to know and understand all the steps (and the timeline of those steps) leading up to our taking possession of the boat. Everyone at Len's was so helpful and responsive, and even now that the purchase is over and done we feel a tremendous level of support from the Len's team in the continuing care and maintenance of the NXT. Len's make you feel like you're their only customer...marrying excellent customer service with professional competence. Needless to say, we are now loyal Len's customers...a loyalty and trust earned over almost a decade of great experiences. Many thanks to Sean, Dave, Fraser, Bonnie, Timmy, and everyone else at Len's for everything you do...we feel so lucky to have found you guys!

We did a lot of research last summer into the type and model of Boat we wanted. When spending close to 200K, it is a big investment so we did our homework. Our new Boat was ordered through Lens Cove directly from the Factory. Throughout the process Lens Cove staff and the Barletta factory staff were very helpful and quick to answer our numerous questions. I want to extend a special thank you to Megan Malette, Dave Loney and Nathan Horsfall from Lens Cove. They both went above and beyond throughout the buying process. From the initial consultations on colour, to the back and forth on the options to the day our boat was delivered, we would not be happier. I would highly recommend both Lens Cove Marina and Barletta for your next luxury boat purchase! Denis & Ingrid Patry Ottawa

The campsite caters to a variety of ages, to tents and to trailers as well as all summer campers. We have a 16 foot trailer and the site was great! It was a pull-through spot, easy to access and move around in. Water hookup and electricity, as well as dumping right on the site. With COVID around, we didn't mingle much with the other campers. We walked around the grounds a bit, and I went swimming at the beach. Keep in mind that the beach can get crowded - and someone was serenading us with their version of "music" (not my taste, but then, they would not have enjoyed my choices either.) the bottom of the lake there has rocks on it, and I cut my leg, not badly but I was surprised. On entering the site, you pay $5 for a fob to open the gates when you're driving through, but I gather the gates have had issues as someone in the office tends to open the gate when they see someone struggling. And the $5 is refundable when the fob is returned. This site is close enough to Kingston to get in a visit. I need longer there! So much to see and do! We did manage to visit a lift lock very close to the campsite. I would go back. Mind you, IMHO, it's more fun to camp with friends and family. Something to bear in mind for next time.

We arrived in the late afternoon and the entrance of the said restrooms had stench that burnt my nose hair. It was the most miserable 2 nights in my entire camping experience. Won't plan to go back unless I have my trailer's restroom installed. Tent campers be warned!
