Inside, it was indeed cavernous, with booths around the ground floor and a sort of mezzanine. "Michael" is apparently the owner of another restaurant in Cleveleys. Anyway, I must mention service-it started with a bang. A very loud bang indeed as a waiter collected the next tables plates and bottles and then dropped them all on the floor. He was mortified, but I must say service improved for us considerably. We had pappadums to start. I munched on them, with a game face, but I realised they were actually stale. I sent them back and they briskly brought some new ones which were fine. We had the usual-chicken tikka to start (very nice and actually from a tandoor), chicken madras, chicken tikka masala, bombay aloo and pillau rice. I was slightly fearful the food would be bad, but even though I'm from London (via Blackpool) which sports the best Indian food in the Country the food here respectably held its own. Each dish had its own distinct taste and the bombay potatoes were a revelation. I've never had it with small new potatoes before. As I said, service was great-when I mentioned to my dear Mum the food wasn't too hot, (for her) the waiter who was nearby asked if we wanted to change the dish if it's too hot. I explained it wasn't, but thanks for asking. Anyway, full marks. They also have Carling on draft rather than just the stronger Kingfisher and Cobra. For a surburban street in Blackpool I say Michael's is very welcome and I shall return.

We chose Naan and ordered some chips as an extra. The food arrived on time and was hot and fresh. The Samosas were nice and crisp and the Naan was gorgeous as was the Tandoori Chicken Tikka. Considering there is only one other review I can only assume it was made by Indian orchard and not by anyone that had the misfortune of being a customer of such a terrible establishment. Firstly they over charged my family over 20%, when we questioned them they not only made us feel stupid they actually started shouting, even after they realised that they over charged me and my family they told me that because we had paid for it they couldn't do anything, even though my father in-law questioned the price before paying but was made to feel stupid.
