Never going back here. I was a 25-year-old woman eating by myself. The waiter was an older middle-aged man. He swung by the table more times than was necessary or comfortable and kept calling me beautiful. He was overly friendly and I was feeling uncomfortable. Then when I paid, I used a credit card. He blew up at me telling me to only use cash because of credit card fees. After I still paid with card (I didn't have cash on me and they accepted cards), he wouldn't acknowledge me anymore. I can't believe they take credit cards then blew up at me for using one. Food was whatever. Don't go here.

The chicken soup is supreme and simply nutritious, their vegetable samosa fresh and crisp! The Bangladeshi lamb rezela is a dream incarnated - literally (if you are going for meat ofc). The naan is delicious here. Friendly service (mainly English speaking, though Czech is no issue), wifi free. They have an "all you can eat" lunch buffet Mo-Fr 11 am - 3 pm for 129,- CZK/person. Everything is for take away and they also deliver (via Dáme jídlo). I just love it here, because it's good. I will return and return:)

I will have to agree with another reviewer that the Lamb Rezela was superb, soft naan and great samosas (huge). However, I would not recommend the Chicken Tikka Masala. I have never had one in the nearly 30 yrs I've been eating Indian food on a regular basis that tasted quite like this; it was sickeningly sweet. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this place. They do charge for tap water, so spend you money on beer!

I came here because it was rated #1 Curry in Prague on expats.cz (the top source for expats and…read morevisitors for everything Prague). When I started with my Mango Lassi and appetizers, I though to myself, "I'm not so sure about this number 1 thing". But it was rated #1 "curry", so that's the dish I should base it off of. Coming from a Carribean background, where curry is a staple dish, and growing up on Indian food as well, I know my curry flavor. When they brought the curry chicken out, from the presentation to the actual taste of the food, without any qualms I was sold that this lived up to the hype. Their curry had so much taste, with a beginning, middle and end flavor to it. It went up another notch when the Garlic Naan was dipped in. Great job here, and worth the trip!

I used to live in Palmovka for 5 years and I would go to this restaurant at least once a week, usually twice. I have not had the whole menu, but I've had most of it and it's really quite amazing because I have never once had something that was not delicious. I eventually became friends with the owner (obviously, since I was there so often), and he is the man! Hi, Mamun! Anyway, if you live in Palmovka and haven't been here, what is wrong with you? If you live in Prague and haven't been here, go... now. If you live anywhere else in the world and are visiting Prague, take the B train to Palmovka for a bit and if you don't like it let me know... I'll then know to avoid you for the rest of eternity :D Recommendations: Have the butter chicken, tika masala, and madras. Those are my favorites. Enjoy!

Unfortunately, this restaurant has new ownership. My girlfriend and I visited yesterday for lunch…read moreand found a new lunch menu. Whereas, the original lunch menu included salad rice and a lentil soup, the new one comes with either NAAN or rice. Both of us had the chicken masala which was one of my favourite dishes in past visits but the current iteration was weak and flavourless. The giant metal dish came with a portion of chicken and the three side compartments were just overloaded with more rice than either of us could finish. The rice was of a very low quality. The service remains OK, however the old restaurants featured waiters in uniform, the new restaurant has one man with a bulging belly wearing jeans and a white undershirt doing everything from hosting to serving. So, the the ambience which used to be very nice is now about low rent diner level. The restaurant is now called India Gate under the new ownership. However, this place has gone from a five star review to a zero. There was nothing about our meal yesterday that would cause me to recommend this to anyone. I am a former Tour guide in PRAGUE and this was one of my favourite places to recommend. It's now off my list.

Once we checked into the hotel, the party of five of us wanted to find something for dinner. We walked up the block and stumbled across the Londoners, we were kind of shocked they were open, and that they could seat five of us. We were greeted immediately and re-handed menus. It was nice to see that they had a good variety of food as we did have a kid with us. Who was a little picky. We ended up getting some different types of curry. I got lamb korma, and I believe others got Tika and, another korma. The kid in our group ordered a cheeseburger with only meat and cheese. The portions were very good and the naan that came with the curry was lovely. I love European korma as it is very different from the korma we have in the states. It is more of a coconut base and is yellow instead of the brown we have here. I actually prefer the korma in Europe more so if I get the chance, I would definitely order it. Our only issue was that my nephews cheeseburger had a lot of sauce on it. That was kind of a mustard sauce. He was not very happy with it, but he did eat it since we didn't want to send it back. Overall we were pleasantly surprised, and very grateful to be able to have a nice dinner on Christmas Day. I would absolutely return.

Started with a couple of beers because you have to, and then had some staple items - a tikka masala for the wife, and a lamb vindaloo for myself. The waiter reminded me that lamb vindaloo is quite spicy, to which I replied with a smile that said "bring it on!" He wasn't kidding, but neither was I. It was very spicy, but it was delicious! My wife enjoyed her tikka masala as well, which we accompanied with basamati rice and some quite tasty garlic naan. The bar itself is simple, but it's location is great and if you're a Brit, they're really catering to you. Football on the telly? Of course! I think they had some Premier League darts on another screen, too, and you could overhear that other patrons were either British tourists or expats. Very good place, would definitely visit again on the next trek to Praha.

We ordered the butter chicken (which was okay), the mixed grill (the lamb kabobs were dry and not great, ask to substitute them, but the chicken kabobs were tender and flavorful), and the lamb biryani (quite good!). The mixed grill came with butter chicken sauce on the side, which isn't anything I have seen before, but it worked because the malai chicken boti could've used more seasoning. It was the perfect amount of food for 4 people without having to pack leftovers. My mom also ordered the mango lassi and enjoyed it (I think... see her review to confirm).
