The provide a wide variety of products and services; if you don't see what you want, please ask and they will be happy to help. They specialise in Filipino cuisine but also supply other oriental products and groceries :- Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean etc. I have visited on two separate occasiions and have purchased Thai Green Curry, Massaman Curry & Japanese Teriyaki Marinade amongst my purchases which is representative of the range the shop carries. All products are modestly priced. They are open to requests and suggestions. They offer free delivery on orders over £30 to the local. Well, I'm not a vegetarian but I certainly appreciate having Scoopaway close at hand. Come here if…read moreyou're buying anything dry, stuff like pasta, dried fruit, cereals, spices. Quite a range of things really with the emphasis on things being organic and sustainable. Plus. It's all paid for by weight (as the name suggests you just scoop up however much you want) so they cut out loads of needless packaging. A good place to stock up on supplies, it's a actually fairly well priced despite being organic. And of course having museli every morning is a lot cheaper than a bacon sandwich, so a good place if you're tight on cash. Very popular, it can get overcrowded on Saturdays. They stuff quite a lot into a small space, unexpected finds include toiletries (eco-friendly ones, of course). Scoopaways a great idea and a good place for cheap staples.

A perfect place for the health and ethically conscious, the shop stocks everything from frozen food to sweets and sundries. I'm a particular fan of the gluten free range, as I have a caeliac friend who I often invite to dinner parties. The staff are always really helpful in showing me what's the best product for my recipe.
There are multiple locations in London, but we were in Bath and wanted to check it out. Since it's…read moreone of the oldest cheesemongers and is well established, it is more expensive, but compared to American prices, it's still not that bad. They have a good selection of interesting cheeses. Even though it was empty on a weekday afternoon, the cheesemonger didn't seem particularly interested in helping us since we weren't buying a ton. I know it's annoying to let us sample and then cut a bunch of 100 g pieces, but we just didn't have anywhere to store the cheese on our trip. They also have lots of cheese tools and cheese related gifts, as well as their own crackers and lots of various spreads. It's a pretty cute and complete shop.

Paxton and Whitfield was always a London institution. And I love old traditional shops, especially businesses as old as this one. So, I went into this shop hopeful I could find a special treat for a picnic. It was lovely, a really special experience. The young man in the shop was really helpful and knowledgeable and friendly and not in the least bit snooty. There were lots of beautiful artisan cheeses from all over, including some special local cheeses. Suffice it to say that I tasted some beautiful cheeses in there and took some lovely stuff home with me. I can only recommend that you do the same. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did.
