I was also interviewing with other employment agencies and companies so my eggs were not all in one basket. I knew I had to get a job and I wasn't standing around with a nail file in my hands. When Joy Goldsmith at Charles Foster contacted me, I had been employed by another agency by 1 day. I was selling houses in the 500k to 1.5 million dollar range in Mt. Pleasant SC...I was a bit of a NJ Snob so I didn't want to go back to hustling. Moving forward, 2yrs to the day after our first encounter, Joy received my resume and called me again. The same company from 2yrs ago showed interest in me and wanted me to work for them. I was SHOCKED!!! Being in a Hostile and extremely negative, immature, unprofessional, unethical, and emotionally stagnant and economically depressing job, this was a welcoming Blessing. It all happened on Michaelmas, and he is my favorite Archangel. Charles Forster has been working with prestigious companies nationwide since 1969. The recruiters all have their specialties (Engineering, Education, Sales, Production, Information Technology, Aviation, ETC) which facilitates in placement of potential candidates based on college education, military, years of experience and career. I called Charles Foster and gave them my email address. I filled out an online application, took a battery of Microsoft office tests ( Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and a problem solving test-50 questions in 12 minutes, I finished only 45), went on 2 interviews to meet potential employers and a Typing test. The following day ( 9/30-today), I took a drug test, criminal background check, credit check, DMV test ( she told me about my long list of speeding tickets from yrs ago in NJ). I am loving the screening process. True to Charles Foster's word and professionalism, My skill set was paired with their best client which met my needs. Salary is good, location is awesome and there is upward mobility...I am extremely happy, Grateful, Thankful, Blessed, and Humbled. I think that was a world record for me, a new job within 4 hours of resigning. I had no plan, nothing waiting but I had trust in God and I had a gut instinct that Charles Foster could help me. God is Good. Put him first and everything in life just FLOWS. I recommend this company 1000 percent!!!!!

I worked nearly 1 school year in the school cafeteria I caught the flu had doctors note called out…read moretook all the steps I went back to my usual assignment only to be rudely told by the find serves manager I no longer worked there so I went to Kelly services and they told me I was out sick to long so I said ok fine where's my new assignment(I was mad cause after working 20 minutes+ away from my house for half a school year I finally got an assignment where I worked right down the street from my assignment washable to transfer closer during the summer months) they than told me there was no new assignment as I had no called no show(which was bs I had the call longs on my phone and the texts to the school manager on my phone they took my doctor's note and that was it best guess is they get paid for each new s*cker they're able to bring aboard but once your in there's no extra bonus thats purely speculative tho had no problems getting paid and I did like where I worked I was able to start working within a couple weeks 3 max they have flexible and permanent placements the school is interested in hiring you after a certain time and I think that's where I missed up I applied for it and that location is a high turn over rate the the person with the most time there was like 4 or 5 months I think the manager was dipping her hands in the money they made from extras like ice cream and individual purchasable like chips and drinks and stuff idk i don't like how they handled me when I was sick but other wise I didn't have a problem when I started mid school year I had to provide my own clothes but when I started the next year with everyone else full time school workers employeed by the district I was able to get the full uniform and attend the begening the school year event

Hammes Staffing Services has a proven track record of placing workers in various industries within the Charleston County Area. It's these friendly and harmonious relationships that Hammes has with the local organizations that are to the benefit of the applicants. I just go online, see what's available, upload my most recent resume and wait for a call back. The usual wait time for me has been about a week in which I go to the interview, Drug test, TB test, Criminal Back ground check and report for work as usual. I was able to set up my payment method and submit my time sheet electronically without having to drive over to Hammes each week to submit paperwork or receive a paycheck. Easy Breezy! My last assignment was as a School Secretary with the Mary Ford Child Development Center. It was a wonderful temporary position as a school secretary for infants to children 4yrs old. I enjoyed the assignment very much as it was enriching and endearing to my heart. When the young lady on FMLA returned to work, I left kicking and screaming. While at the school, I was the greeter and first point of contact for information for the students, parents, vendors, contractors, teachers, principals, employees, school nurses, school social workers, and safety officers. I scheduled appointments, answer the phones, replied to and composed emails, and provided administrative support to teachers, parents, and school officials. I was trained in submitting purchases for the Charleston County School district. I also learned how to put in purchase orders, put in maintenance requests, submit electronic requests for equipment repairs, and call in substitute teachers. I was also assisting the parents with new or temporary badges to gain entry in and out of the school. My Greatest accomplishment while there was receiving my Munis General Ledger Certification!!! Indeed has never worked for me, just in past month, i've applied to 134 jobs and got 0 offers, 1 phone interview as an Armored Car "Customer Service Rep", 0 offers and 0 hires. I arrived and was immediately asked to fill out another application (face palm). It took about 10 mins to fill it out, I sat down with a recruiter and we talked for literally 5 mins. I was told I would probably have an interview and asked what areas I would drive to and wouldn't drive to. Sent a few follow up emails and did not receive any response. I arrived 10 mins early, I had on a nice suit and long sleeve button down, my hair and nails were manicured, had resume in hand with other items so I really do not understand the lack of response or follow-up. I have heard reviews about other experiences other minorities have had with this staffing agency, but I wanted to go into the interview with a clear head. I am a little annoyed because I wasted time off of my current job with the hopes that they would help me find something more suitable for me. For this headache, I have decided I can do the leg work myself as I do not receive support from them in this step of seeking employment so I could only imagine how it would be had I been hired on by them for a client and then had issues on the long run. Please don't waste your time. I would highly recommend Charles Foster or Trace Staffing (where one of the recruiters @ Hammes Staffing). They will help you and be open and honest in the process.
