Which that part initially seemed to be correct. Filed a claim on July 16, 2025 to have the interior staining removed. On July 17th, PermaPlate approved the claim and told me Fibrenew Long Beach South would be in contact with me and be out shortly to fulfill the claim. Chad made contact with me on July 23, 2025 and initially told me that he would probably be out the following week and asked my availability. On July 28th I reached back out because he never responded back with a day and time. His response was he doesn't make it to LA often and he has 60 days to fulfill the claim. He waited until September to reach back out. He didn't show up to fulfill the claim until the 58th day. Chad initially said he'd be here to fulfill the claim at 12:30pm, but had to push it back until 2:45pm because his car broke down. I tipped him because I felt bad because his car broke down and he seemed stressed and I have been in that situation before. But after he left, I noticed that Chad never returned my key back to me. First he said it was in the center console, then he said he wasn't sure if had walked off with it but would look. After I had to keep following up on him, 11:45 am the next day he confirmed he still had not looked for the key. This guy has been the worst experience I have had with someone purporting to be a professional. Either he is like this with all his PermaPlate clients or he has an inherent bias against people of my race and gender. Now I have to spend my Sunday in the Sheriff Dept filing a report.

I contacted Thomas Moser about recommendations for repair in SoCal, and they recommended "Furniture Girl", owned by Johnna Stanzione of Long Beach. I rented a truck and took my furniture to her for repair and refurbishing. She estimated that it would take 6 or 8 weeks to do the work. It took 7. She delivered the renewed furniture and carried it in from the truck. I was dumbstruck. It looked better than when it was new. She fixed some imperfections in the wood, replaced a broken chair leg, and refinished everything. My wood furniture is alive again, and I am so happy. If I bought furniture at Target or Macy's I don't think I would bother having it restored by Furniture Girl, but this stuff is precious, and Johnna brought it back to life.

This company's communication came out to repair a lift recliner chair. The technician, a very nice man, reported that the problem was a wire under the chair. He claimed to have repaired the wire and fixed the chair. I paid him $125. The next morning, when the chair was used again, it once again failed to decline after lifting. I called the company back and reported the chair was not fixed. They got back to me two days later. Then they requested more pictures of the chair in order to schedule a technician to return. I sent them immediately via email. I also told them via email, voicemail & text that it was the Control Box under the chair and to have the technician bring a control box on his vehicle. The company never acknowledged this information. And the technician did NOT have a control box with him when he showed up a week later. Once there, he reported it was indeed the control box and he now had to order the part which could take up to two weeks to receive and 2-4 weeks to come back and install it. AND he wanted to charge me an additional $185 for the part. Their rate for a diagnostic is supposed to be $50. I paid $125 already. And 2-4 weeks? This chair is my mom's only chair and it still doesn't work. Wtf did I pay for? So...instead of fixing the chair, I decided not to. Why sink over $300 into an old chair when a new chair is less than $500? That makes no sense. This company's customer service is non-existent. They don't answer their phone and everything is robotic about the experience. While the technician was nice enough, he did not do the job correctly and preferred to argue when I called him out on it.
