I LOVE the Direct Primary Care model! I went without a doctor for YEARS, almost 7 because I…read morecouldn't find a woman doctor that was taking new patients and could get see me in a reasonable amount of time. I ended up going to walk-in clinics. My doc at Family Physicians gets me in within a couple of days. I never feel rushed and I ALWAYS know what something is going to cost ahead of time. Usually, it's significantly less. Contrary to someone else's comment, YES, you CAN use your FSA or HSA money for their services. In my opinion, the membership cost is worth every penny!

I wish I could give this practice 5 stars. Actually had you asked me a year ago and it would have…read morebeen 5 stars. I love the practitioners. They are so caring, really take the time with you, and I never had a problem getting in at a reasonable time. But they really screwed over their patients going to the Direct Primary Care model. No matter how you slice it, the numbers don't make sense. You pay a monthly fee to remain a patient and get discounts on Services, some prescriptions, some labs. But they don't accept insurance. So you can't use your HSA and nothing goes towards your deductible. Even just allowing the use of the HSA would make it more reasonable. But, if you need any tests, surgery, or care beyond their capabilities you will need your regular insurance to be seen elsewhere. While the idea sounds good, it just costs more for the patients in the long run. Not to mention now we are left high and dry trying to find a new practitioner and most places are not accepting new patients because of the sudden influx of patients who left FPSJ.
