Now I have a poorly drawn tattoo on my arm. He seemed way more interested in another customer and stopped to take pictures of the other guy. But my tattoo was so simple, it didn't bother me. It should have. I won't be returning and everyone I was visiting is aware of the mistake and won't go here for future work. Don't go here.

I sat with him three separate times for my detailed, gorgeous thigh piece. He did a phenomenal job. On top of being ridiculously good, he's also super chill to sit with for hours at a time. I sat three times on my thigh (2hrs each time) and also had him do a rib tattoo for me. Every time he was professional, cool, and easy going. He's great at his job and incorporated everything I wanted into my thigh tattoo. Pro tip: they offer numbing cream. You can buy it by the tube or (if you're super cool) they will just apply some to your body before the tattoo for free. Cream has to go on and sit for about half an hour before the tattoo gets started so let them know ahead of time that you want it and you're going to show up early for it. After you get done getting poked, head to the joint right down the street and grab a super delicious taco! (Nom!) There are some things I wish they'd change. I loved that they had such an open space in their studio; fluid space, no big walls for the most part. I love the feeling of community, however, it also leaves you pretty exposed to anyone who walks past their large sun drenched windows and anyone who happens to walk in the front door. If you're in the middle of getting inked and your shorts are pulled really high or your shirt is pulled up, everyone will see it. Not so fun. Either way, they get a raving five stars from me. I planned to get my collarbone tattooed and didn't want anyone who didn't have impeccable line work. So when I planned a trip to Colorado Springs I wanted to get him to tattoo me. Especially with the fact that with COVID it's been incredibly hard to find a tattoo artist whose books are open and they're good! He quoted me for our tattoos for my collarbone, two arm tattoos, my Viking Inguz and my cousin's Unalome and semi colon. They were all smaller tattoos but they were easy tattoos and an artist needs to be paid for their time! Also, being from Portland, his rates were absolutely fair. He also quoted me about $100 more than he charged me which was a bonus. He's super nice and friendly, which I never expect from an artist as most are quiet and reserved. He high fived me and said I did great after. Which I've never gotten (though I have loads of tattoos and lots of big ones I wuss out EVERY time I get new ink!) from any other artist. So thanks for your patience and kindness. You made is ridiculously easy to communicate via your Instagram and to make sure we were set for our appointment. We showed up and Moises got to work on designing my star and sun, originally I was going to have him copy another artist's designs but he is so good I wanted a stamp of his authentic work on my tattoos. I LOVE the sun and star he drew out. They're unique to anything else I have. My favorite thing about him was that he has a super light touch. I was NERVOUS AF about having my collarbone tattooed and it was pretty unremarkable as far as pain went. I'm not gonna lie my new sun hurt quite bad close to my elbow but it was small and easy. His style is so simple and beautiful. I really love all of my tattoos so much from today. If you're a tattoo virgin, I feel like he'd be perfect for you, since he has such a light touch.
