I feel like this is locally owned and a place trying to provide residents with good value. The butcher was staffed, the bakery was done for the day and the deli was busy organizing the meats and cheeses. It took me 10 min to get those pics waiting for them to stop organizing! :). It absolutely is a great store plenty of prepared foods. This was 130pm on a Sunday. The place as you can see on the pictures is 100% spotless. Don't expect any doughnuts left at 2pm. (There was only three) Super clean store. Friendly people and the prices were really good. This place is perfect and it is away from that busy are near aldi, Walmart and gas ant eagle. Saw a lot of locals in here. So you know they know. when we camp Mosquito Lake this is our grocery store.

There was the time my home girl and I had to kill some time, and ended up falling asleep in my car for several hours in your parking lot. A nap fully complete with blankets I had in my trunk. We slept like babies until our friends woke us up by pounding on the windows. The security guard didn't even give a damn. And the time my friend thought she was pregnant, and my ex and best friend said they'd go in and buy the pee test for her. When they were at the register, the cashier looks my ex in the eyes and says, "Don't worry, sweetheart...It'll be alright." My best friend, only 15 at the time, was pretty mortified :) But the greatest Giant Eagle Moment of All Time: A Vietnam Vet, dressed in complete fatigues and ass kickin' boots, was attempting to pay with a bad check. The cashier said she couldn't accept it. We were behind him in line. He starts going off on the cashier: Vet: "Do you know who the hell I am?!? I'm a fucking veteran of the US Army! You should give me this shit for free!!!" Cashier: "I'm sorry, sir, but this check isn't valid. I can't accept it." Vet: "That is the biggest crock of hooey I've ever heard!" (Insert my accidental burst of laughter here. The Vet turns around as I duck behind the candy display in the next lane, leaving my home girl stranded.) Vet: "What the fuck is so funny?! Do you know who I am?!? I'm a veteran of Viet-fucking-NAM!!" At this point, I grab my friend and we bee-line for another part of the store until security takes care of the issue. We didn't stop laughing for an hour. Ahh, good times.

Inside this tiny unassuming white building is a plethora of bulk goodies, deli goods, frozen food, baking goods and homemade Amish breads and cookies as well as sundries. Most of the groceries are bulk foods or products from Troyer Farms. There are jams and jellies, pickles and pickled eggs, homemade peanut butter, and sausages. There is a deli, freezer and refrigerated section with the only potato salad I have ever loved - Maple Bacon Potato Salad - YUM! You could really get your whole weekly grocery order here. The sundries are not just your regular sundries. If you have yourself a sweet horse and buggy you can find all of the reflectors to make your ride safer. If you are living the plain Amish life (or maybe just going off grid for a while) you can find Amish hats and suspenders for your man. The exemplary plain lady will find black stockings, safety pins, and plain black shawls. Thread comes in black and white so that your apron or prayer kapp as well as your cape can be mended finely. Add to this laundry soap, clotheslines and clothespins and you are set for looking snappy on washday. Ok, so I am joking a bit! But I can't say enough how much I truly love this store. It is owned and operated by the Amish. They are humorous and kind, and very helpful. Their annual open house is stocked with samples, homemade apple crisp and ice cream and basket raffles. The store shares it's owner's values - it's plain and closed on Sundays. In the summer they kindly ask that everyone be fully clothed when shopping. It is totally worth the drive to come here.
