i have really fought myself and tried not to have to write this review. A few weeks back, i was…read moreovercharged $3.00 on my purchase. i went back in and asked for my receipt, and i showed the cashier her mistake. instead of just giving me my $3, i had to call corporate and wait weeks for a whopping $10 gift card, which forces me to spend my money with them. That's a stupid policy. Today i tried to spend my money that they are forcing me to spend there, and the gift card doesn't work! How greedy! How stupid! i was a daily customer! it was clearly their mistake. if you shop there, bring a calculator and double check the total, because if they overcharge you, you'll never see that money. They dont trust their own cashiers to handle a $3 mistake. why on earth should we trust their employees if they dont? This place would benefit from new, less greed focused management. if it were my business, i would have apologized and comped the customer's whole purchase instead of losing a daily customer. You're not the only convenience store in town, after all.

OMG. I've been a Giovanni's fan for years. Since I met my…read morewife who grew up in Louisa and on all the trips to see her family over the last 10 years. But tonight we decided to go with 3 Rivers for pizza and Giovanni's Louisa betta step up. The sausage is superb, the crust and square party cut is the same, but the garlic dipping sauce beats Papa any day. Plus it was $5 less than Giovanni's. In all fairness, the Bernaugh location of Giovanni's is still as good as Louisa used to be but it's a long haul. 3 Rivers is my new pizza joint.

I traversed the unforgiving mountains for miles and miles until I reached a set of toll booths,…read morewhich led me to a not very beautiful Exxon petrol station. I paid a bloody $8.50 in West Virginia Turnpike tolls to get there, and another $8.50 on the way back. I should have trekked the enchanted forest instead. After my buddy Pasi filled up his Subaru, we slid our way inside the convenience store -- where he topped off an empty Dunkin' cup with what looked like caffeinated mud water. The items for sale were placed so conveniently that my wallet begged me not to starve it of any of the George Washingtons it was clinging onto. I may have even heard Eugene Krabs threaten me in the distance, but perhaps it was only an echo. I was overall pleased with the atmosphere, but there was a bossy sign that insulted my H20 knowledge -- saying that a cup of ice is not free. Well yeah, neither was the paper and ink used to print that meaningless nonsense (let alone how much corporate spent on the printer). What do you want me to do next, change your diaper? Beckley is nice.

As far as gas stations go, this one is pretty good. I tend to stop here on my way into West…read moreVirginia. The gas is reasonably priced usually, compared to others in the area. I've found if you wait until the next available gas, the prices are about ten cents more expensive. The bathrooms, while small and kind of dated (which is weird as it's obvious the rest of the place has been updated) are usually clean. There's a Burger King attached, so if you're hungry, you can grab a burger. You can also get the standard gas station soft drinks and snacks. All in all, this is an above average place for a pit stop if you're passing through.
