Conveniently located near a ton of Oakbrook subdivisions, this place is perfect for items that don't really require a trip to the grocery store. I always hate going to Super Kroger to grab bread and milk because they are on opposite sides of the mammoth store, making the trip much longer than it really needs to be. Village Market is only a few months old, so it's very clean and well stocked. There's also a liquor store next door if you need to pick up some wine or whisky. This place is probably just a three store joint, but because it saves me the headache of going to a big box grocery store, I'll give it an extra star.

This Walgreens was the only spot open. So I was pleasantly surprised to see its transformation as a Kroger pick-up spot, which means it now has a modest produce section as well. It's also bright and clean. It looks like the rest of the store has undergone a makeover as well. The staff wore masks, and there was signage urging people who are unvaccinated to wear masks too. I wish everyone still had to wear masks, but oh well. About half of the customers I saw wore masks. My opinion of this Walgreens has definitely improved. I bet I will be stopping in again soon when I'm back in town to visit family.

For months have been having issues with the pharmacy getting meds covered. Then they say I can't pick up the meds without an ID suddenly, even though I've been picking up the same meds for the better half of a year. I gave birthday, address, phone number, names on the account and after all that they say you can't pickup without an ID. Then argue with me "it's the law" but usually we recognize people and give them their meds. Okay... you know I've been coming here forever and now you want to make things difficult because I don't have my id. They agreed to do it this one time, and I told them that's fine because after this month we won't be coming back. Been thinking of switching for a year now because of the non-stop issues. The last 6 months have been the worst and this event topped the cake.
