It took a lot to get myself to go in. I needed to get properly fitted for a bra as I have never had…read morean appropriate one and had been "making due" with sports bras. After doing much research on the internet about appropriate bra sizes and how a bra should fit, I tried sizing myself. I came out at 36F/FF. Feeling good about this measurement, I made a big purchase online. Finally those bras came in, tried them on, only one fit properly, two fit alright and three were definitely too big. After that purchase I decided I had to face facts and go in to really figure out what my size is. Mind you, I have gone in to many a bra section in Grants Pass and have -never- found a comfortably fitting bra. I can't count how many bras I have tried on in the last three weeks.... So I messaged Wellness Ware on Facebook and let them know about my conundrum, as well as inquired if they would have time for a fitting today. I received a message not long after that they could definitely fit me in and see what they could do about my situation. So, after about an hour of talking myself into it, I hopped in my car and headed straight there. The store is located in the Parkway Village to the left of the Sears. It deals with all sorts of medical supplies though their main focus is bras (for regular and medical). It is a very quaint store with a large selection. They carry brands such as Wacoal, even! From my internet browsing, I knew that Wacoal is a big name in the bra world. I was super nervous, but the lady (forgive me, I can not remember her name!) was extremely friendly, sweet and helped take the edge off of the situation. We talked for a bit and she asked what kind of bras I would be interested in, I really didn't have a preference. She said that she would need to take my measurements. To do that I had to have a normal bra on cause I was currently wearing a sports bra. I busted out one of the bras I had recently purchased and after she walked out of the room I put it on. Calling her back in was easy. You can hear through the door if the person is talking loud enough. She came in and took my measurement over my bra. Now at first I was a little apprehensive, as a lot of accounts I have read people say that that is not the way to do it. But I was also happy because I really didn't want my ladies exposed, ya know? She also only took two measurements, which I also thought was interesting. But she went right into action and had a few bras immediately in mind. She disappeared out the door and came back shortly with a few bras in hand. She would leave, I would try it on and call her in, she would come in and we would discuss the bra. She really wanted to know how it fit, how it felt, etc. She could also eye it and tell what was wrong almost immediately. I will skip over the next bit or else this review would end up 20 pages long.... 2 hours later and quite a few bras after.... we had narrowed it down to two bras and my new size turned out to be varying. I bounced between 34G and 36G (34G being a sister size to the 36F I calculated online, so I didn't feel too bad about my online mis-sized purchases!). This was a flipping awesome experience. I was so nervous going in but I walked out with a huge grin on my face, proud of my purchase. They have a great return policy as well (keep your tags on, do not wear (other than trying on and being sure you like it, obviously!!) and you can exchange/return!) and they will also special order bras you like they don't have in your size in store so you can try it on in person with no obligation to buy if you end up not liking it! I have 2 bras expected to come in in 2 or 3 weeks. My fitter was highly skilled and I highly recommend her (I really wish I remembered her name. I feel so horrible that I forgot!!!!). The atmosphere is so comfy and clean. The room did get a little hot, but I -was- in there for 2 hours. Only 2 hours to reverse all the years of having no-freaking-idea what I was doing in the bra department. Prices are to be expected (good bras are always pricey no matter where you go). But they do have a clearance rack for those of you not wanting to spend 60 a bra. :) tl;dr Go here. They are great. If you know you are in a size that isn't easily found in stores, this place can more than likely hook you up. Definitely more so than any department store in GP! Update: My fitter's name was Vicky!! Up until recently we've had decent service at Hangar. My husband is a disabled vet and diabetic so…read moreproper shoes are critical to his health. We ordered his last pair of shoes back in December 2016. We've endured months of lies and broken promises. Among the lies they've told the us/VA: "The shoes are in Chicago but snowed in". Followed by "The shoes came in but he (my husband) canceled the order". Seriously??? They're saying WE canceled an order we're anxiously awaiting????; "The shoes are no longer available" immediately followed by "The shoes are on back order." followed by "Your shoes are being shipped on a slow boat from China". Sadly, the biggest lie has been "We'll keep you posted on the progress of your shoe order". In all these months, we haven't gotten one single call from Hangar. Not one. Today the VA called them again and was told the order had been canceled months ago. No snow, no slow boat, no back order. Just arbitrarily canceled by Hangar without notifying us. The VA is now sending him to Spectrum -- a new prosthetics company in town. Hopefully they know what customer service is because Hangar has zero clue. For years, they were the only show in town but with this new company coming here, we have other options.

I'm a diabetic in need of Orthotic shoes. The way they measured my feet is all wrong. I sit in a…read morechair and plant my foot in a sizing foam. What they failed to take into account is that my feet spread out 1/8" when I stand up. I kept getting too narrow of a shoe (14 4E). I'm in wound care for the deep ulcerated sores on both feet, for 2 months now. Will I get any restitution? As little as I got when a rookie doctor took me off insulin after 5 years of good glucoses control. Zip! I need 14 5E.

Update: This place has become Hangar II. When it first opened, you actually had a choice of…read moreshoes. Suddenly the choices have gone to one thin catalog of boring Dr. Comfort shoes. There must be some kind of benefit to them to put everyone in the same shoe because when look around at the incoming freight, they're all from the same company. If you want something else, you don't get to actually see what they're going to look like. They'll order them and hope you like them. There's also nothing 'custom' about their inserts anymore. They used to fit them to you and make adjustments as needed. Now they just shove 'em in the box and send you out the door. Finally, the woman who calls to demand that you come in is obnoxious. We already had an appointment scheduled and yet she kept calling us - sometimes multiple times a day. After this order is filled we'll probably try Hangar and see if they've found their customer service again or see if there's a place in Eugene the VA can send us to. Roseburg Spectrum just isn't the customer centered business it used to be. Wow!! What a difference! We'd dealt with the other orthotic/prosthetic place in town with rapidly worsening service. Being seen at Spectrum was completely different. Friendly, warm, efficient, thorough and completely professional. The evaluation was top-notch and the choice of shoes was wide and varied -- unlike the other place that pretty well limited us to two or three styles and nothing else. Special shoes/orthotics are expensive but if you need them, you need them. After five years of wearing the exact same athletic shoe because we had no other choices from the other place, it will be great to have choice and to actually receive our shoes within a reasonable or kept informed if there's a problem.
