To begin with, Dan asked the right questions on our first call to prep for his assignment, and based on details provided (100+ guests, some of whom may show up at different times; multiple mini-events to be held; requirement to have different aspects of the party captured including decoration, food etc.), Dan suggested we go with a photojournalistic method wherein he'd go about taking pictures randomly and, in the process, try to capture as many important moments as possible. And he did that, and more! In spite of there being a considerable crowd with multiple activities happening (simultaneously, at times), Dan managed to capture some beautiful, candid shots from the party. He also stayed back well beyond the committed time to take additional pictures when some of our friends and family insisted on having more taken! All this while taking lesser than the amount we agreed upon, as we both were short of change! And did I mention, it was a great bargain in the first place! I must also add that the lighting was pretty poor at the venue we chose for the birthday party - we honestly didn't see that coming as we had originally inspected the place during the day! However, Dan still managed to click some wonderful pictures for us, which is a testimony to his photography skills. Thank you, Dan, for helping capture some of the most memorable moments from the party in the most professional manner possible. Her prices are very reasonable and because I saw her at a bridal show I won another discount with a free engagement session (I didn't do engagement photos, but it was nice to have the option). The day of was great. My husband and I aren't the lovey doves type and are super awkward but she managed it keep it fun and made our awkwardness look really cute. At the end of the evening she had a couple preview photos for us and we had the finals about a month later. I definitely recommend her for your photographer needs.

What kind of photographer would no call no show on someone's wedding?. You know how much that day means to two people and the fact that they were left with no photos other than some taken on phones is absolutely disgusting. Not to mention the fact that they have not heard a single word from Katie and Katie collected $2,500 from them. The LEAST she could do is send their money back. I would never, ever hire this photographer in a million years. Enjoy hearing from the court honey, you done messed with the wrong couple!

I looked at all the photographers for Lafayette/West Lafayette on The Knot and Wedding Wire, and…read morethe second we found Jasmine we were pretty sure from her portfolio and reviews that we wanted to work with her. The reviews were spot on. She was funny and sweet and very committed to making our wedding special and capturing it perfectly. I'm pretty sure the first time we talked on the phone she said something along the lines of "if you decide to work with me..." and we were like "yes. we are working with you. No question." I'm so happy we found her and she ended up having our date open! My husband (!) and I both felt kind of awkward going into the engagement shoot that is included in the package, but we left feeling so relaxed and ...basically giddy. She just knows how to get you laughing and going with the flow while capturing beautiful shots. She was also very communicative despite hiring her well in advance, for example, sending us an version of a wedding timeline and a magazine created by her helping with decisions like whether to do a first look or not. We also got the photo booth from her (one of the best decisions ever! I had so much fun with it and so did the guests) as well as adding on the second photographer (her husband Devin). If you want a photobooth it makes sense to do it with her because she has a deal for booking both things together. Having Devin as the second photographer was also a good decision. Devin was just as great, and it was nice to have a photographer with the groom side while they were getting married as well as capture different angles of the entire wedding. I can end with this: Jasmine (and Devin) are both amazing photographers, but they also go beyond. For example, it was raining on and off, and they figured out exactly when to get beautiful rain pics, or beautiful non-rainy pics outside, found a large bag to put under my dress so that it wouldn't get destroyed while taking outside rainy pics. That kind of can-do DIY attitude paired with their skill is what truly seals the deal.
