The lady at the front desk informed me there was no one available unless I had an appointment. I was bummed but made sure to book an appointment at 2pm today. I was led to an ottoman type recliner in an open room. I was a bit uncomfortable with this as I could see the person next to me as I hung my purse on the wall (even with the privacy curtains drawn). Since the door was right there, I could hear everyone coming in/leaving and every call the receptionist took. My masseuse started out a bit light handed. While it was relaxing, I'm use to deeper massages from reflexology type places as I'm always tensed. After massaging my feet, she began wiping the oil away from my skin using a hot, wet towel and a dry towel. She was a little aggressive as she scrubbed my skin. I couldn't wait for those agonizing minutes to be over. She then had me flipped over to my stomach and instructed me to remove my top. Keep in mind, this is an open area where I had neighbors on both side separated by a curtain. Anyone coming in could easily see as they walked by the open area. I quickly removed my top and she went I work. She began tugging at my shorts trying to push them down. I thought after ignoring her, she would just move on but she was determined to get them out of the way. This made me even more uncomfortable in the open area. The time she spent tugging at my shorts seemed to be longer than the actual back rub itself. I was really disappointed as my back is really in knots. I'll stick to my usual places (Foot Spa, Phoenix Foot Spa & Happy Feet) where there are more private areas and relaxing back massages. The masseuses there would never yell out twice to the receptionist the phone is ringing during a massage.

There's another "five star" massage place on Legacy, but this one is on the service road to 75 at Parker. It's pretty bare bones. Clean, but no thrills. My husband and I both got the 60 minute foot massage. James started with a head/face massage, then the arms. Many places do the arms/hands out of completion, but James really took his time. You can tell he knows what he's doing. He spent more time on my left arm(I'm a lefty) and ironed out the kinks before proceeding. After that, he gave one of the best foot rubs I've had in Dallas!! My husband raved about Amy as well. When they did the 10 minutes of back work, you could tell they were targeting issues. I have an bad shoulder, my husband has hip issues, and they each worked those areas in addition to the regular routine. One area of improvement is that he could have been more gentle. When moving your limbs, he was a bit mechanical, and not very smooth. That doesn't bother me a lot, but worth noting. See you soon James and Amy!!

After my husband, who was a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) doctor, passed away, I had a difficult time finding someone I could trust to help with my body pain. The first time I came to China Spa, Sabrina was not working. Her colleague, Amy, kindly recommended that I come back the next day to see Sabrina. At that time, I had been suffering from pain in my shoulders, lower back, and knees for over a month, so I decided to try China Spa because it is close to my home. During my first treatment with Sabrina, it was a little painful because she was working on the tight and sore areas. However, after the session, my whole body felt so much lighter and more relaxed. After just three treatments, my shoulder, back, and knee pain completely disappeared. Sabrina is highly skilled, caring, and truly knows how to treat the root of the problem instead of just giving a regular massage. She has helped me tremendously, and I am so grateful to have found her. It's no surprise that China Spa was recognized as one of the Top 3 Massage Therapists in Richardson for 2026. They truly deserve this recognition. I highly recommend Sabrina and China Spa to anyone looking for real pain relief and professional therapeutic massage.
