    Crossin's Optician is the first Optician's I ever went to. Little Conor got his first pair of…read moreglasses here at the age of 4 and kept coming back for every year until I had to start buying them myself. The staff know me really well, so are always really friendly. But to the new comers they are just the same. The prices for eye tests are actually quite reasonable compared to other local optician's and they won't just give you glasses for the sake of making a sale. Their collection is one of the more modern ones I've saw locally, some others have the same frames from the first day they opened and are still optimistically hoping to get some money for them. As with all local Optician's, their prices are a lot more than the big chains, but it's my local. It hails back from a time where everyone had a local optician, just like they do a GP. I like that.

    This optician was used by my family for years. It was where I got my first pair of glasses. A…read morerather less than fashionable wire rimmed Harry Potter set. Although the glasses where pretty awful, the service was good. It was nice to go into a place that had a little more of a local feel. Since then I have gone to some of the bigger chain opticians, and while they might offer a bigger selection of glasses, you feel there is much less of a personal touch. Thankfully I don't need to wear my glasses all the time, so style isn't a huge driving motive for me, so Crossin's opticians is able to supply me with a decent looking pair of glasses, while not needing me to break the bank to get them.
