This past Friday March 27th I had surgery at LRMC. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone…read moreneeding care. Even though I live in Texarkana, I felt Longview Regional would give me the best care and boy did they ever! From the super sweet and friendly receptionist at the same day surgery desk, to the nurse who called me back to do my vitals named Sherry, then I had nurses prep me, talk to me and explained everything every step of the way. Once I was in recovery I couldn't really see the nurse taking care of me but her name was Heather. She was so so sweet! She took excellent care of me. Then for my post surgery I met Traci and Amanda. These two ladies were everything to me! They made me feel comfortable, helped me when I had to use the bathroom, gave me something to drink and even wheeled me out to my husband and helped me get in the car. I really hope this reaches them and their supervisor. These ladies were the absolute best! I can't forget the doctor that made all of this happen Dr. Newlin. Christus St Michael in Texarkana misdiagnosed me TWICE it took Dr. Newlin one time to see me, perform a biopsy and then surgery. He is a gem! Again thank you Longview Regional Medical Center for everything!

Instead of helping their patients, they capitulate to the state. Dr. Reesor saw me; I expressed concern over bonespur-like growths on my knees and back of my ankles, and he decided to do a reflex check on my knees AND BACK OF MY ANKLES?! I was in so much pain I nearly passed out! NEGATIVE stars deserved.

CHRISTUS Good Shepherd in Longview, Texas failed me at my most vulnerable. I came in by ambulance…read morefrom a domestic violence shelter with severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dangerously low heart rate, low blood pressure, dehydration, and pain near a prior gunshot wound to my head. I had no family with me and nobody there to advocate for me. While I was weak and actively vomiting in the ER, a nurse forcibly held my head down for several minutes. I tried to jerk away because I felt pressure and pain around the bullet wound on my head, but she tightened her grip. The second time I tried to pull away, she moved her hand lower toward the bottom of my head and neck and continued restraining me until I finally pulled away. Then, after my body gave out from the illness and I had diarrhea, another nurse told me that "45 years old is too old to be shitting on yourself." I came to the hospital because I was vomiting and having gastrointestinal distress. Instead of receiving dignity, safety, and compassion, I was physically handled, humiliated, and degraded while sick, alone, and vulnerable. When I requested a supervisor, the house supervisor refused to require an apology and gave excuses about contractors and nurses being straight out of nursing school. A new graduate badge or contractor status does not excuse abusive treatment of a patient. This violated my patient rights under 42 CFR § 482.13, including the right to care in a safe setting, the right to be free from abuse and harassment, the right to be free from improper restraint, and the right to have grievances properly addressed. It violated Texas Administrative Code § 217.12 regarding unprofessional nursing conduct, unsafe practice, and conduct likely to injure or harm a patient. The physical force used against me falls under Texas Penal Code § 22.01 regarding assault and offensive physical contact. This was not healthcare. This was abuse inside a hospital room. I have contacted law enforcement, and Longview police have assured me the names of these nurses will be in the report. I will pursue this through the hospital grievance process, the Texas Board of Nursing, and state and federal healthcare complaint channels as well as the judicial system. This is not the first time these nurses have been abusive because they were too comfortable disrespecting me the entire time. I wasn't the first, but I'm going to spend the next year or two making sure I'm one of the last. I will see you in court.

My concerns are treated as being having unrealistic expectations. In the meantime I have to simply suffer as I watch my life and dignity slip away as I put on a diaper while the DOCTOR lives his life with no concerns. DO NOT visit the urology department of this hospital. YOU WILL regret that decision. Wish I could give zero stars.

The only reason I am giving this four stars is because Kim, I'm guessing Kim is the big boss over…read moremany locations, Kim is absolutely incredible. I had a problem with a test taken there.. the test administrator decided to follow her own opinions instead of following the actual rules of what the test states. Cassy and I went back-and-forth for a while and she said some rude things and I really do not appreciate and clearly stated that her license and opinion matter more than what the test said or what the test instructions say. Which I do understand and I commend her for trying to follow the roles best that she can, but I don't think that should give you the right to decide when something is positive or negative when the manufacturers of the test clearly say that a faint line is negative. All of that aside I was very very easily able to get in contact with higher management very quickly, which was very surprising. Kim, the woman who was finally able to resolve the issue was absolutely fantastic., she did not feed around the bush. She apologized, admitted the mistake and got the issue resolved. When I came back up here to get the form showing that my test was negative there was a little bit more confusion and I was working with Serena this time, she was also extremely polite and courteous was not snappy or had any sort of attitude, and she helped me resolve the issue in a timely manner which I really appreciated it. I would definitely recommend People to visit this location. If they are needing to take a test, I would just ask for it to not be administered by Cassidy.

Her last thoughts will probably be through a broken mind that was denied medical relief as it tries to make sense of evil/incompetent doctors and idiotic television programming blaring from the corner of the room. My mom suffers from a mental illness. If she is given her mental medication then she stabilizes and is conversational, eats and sleeps properly. She was admitted to this hospital about two months ago and even though doctors had a record of her mental health issue they have not prescribed her mental medication...INSTEAD they let her suffer in mental anguish, put a feeding tube in her and try to get permission from me to not resuscitate her as they prepare her for euthanasia of hospice.
