Speakeasy Tattoo

An excellent experience. In brief, I'm in town on business and on short notice Jane was able to "squeeze" me in,,,,on her off day. I requested a relatively small, simplistic tattoo but got far more than what I expected. Jane has an amazingly light touch to the point where I almost fell asleep. Needlessly to say I'm planning on making another trip back to L.A. soon to have her do more work. And given the ambiance of the shop itself, I plan on having Scott do some work on me as well. I can't recommend this shop enough. Worth every cent.

Let's get this out of the way first, Scott is an amazing artist. That's nothing new, you can look through his body of work and come to that conclusion pretty quickly. But much like the precise details of his work, it is in the details of the overall experience that makes getting a piece of art here a must. Scott welcomes you into his studio with all the grace and humility of a long-lost friend. This was my first tattoo, and I certainly was scared, but Scott alleviated those fears quickly between his light application and warm personality. The actual tattoo application experience was extremely tolerable and made me, a real needle wuss, feel just fine throughout the application. Scott looks at your tattoo as a piece of art first and a business transaction second. He only takes on projects that he's excited about and that alone should give you the confidence to pursue getting the chance to experience a phenomenal artist at the height of his powers. Thanks, Scott.

Scott at Speakeasy Tattoo is a true artist in every sense of the word. His work is AMAZING. When you leave from under his gun, you know the tattoo work you are left with is completely custom, one of a kind and a piece of art you will be proud of for the rest of your life. Scott is professional, talented, creative and patient. His passion and talent for painting and art are present in his prestine tattoo work and in his ability to translate the idea into a physical one of a kind work of art on the body. I was lucky to found Scott when I was researching artists. I had an idea of an art style an a loose direction I wanted for my tattoo. He met with me for THREE consultations in which he thouroughly investigated my needs and style, then created a piece that encompassed both my vision and who I am as a person. I was very perticular with the details (it is going to be on me the rest of my life) and he was more than patient. Speakeasy is a clean and extremely comfortable place to get tattooed. Everything from the music to the artwork that surrounds you lets you know that you are in a place where truly one of a kind and polished incredible tattoo work happens. If quality is your number one piority when choosing an artist, then I DEFINATELY reccomend Scott Glazier at Speakeasy Tattoo

I absolutely love Jane. Working with her has been such a pleasure from start to finish. This is my first tattoo and I couldn't be happier with my experience. When we first sat down to work on a concept, Jane was able to cut through all of my rambling and sketch something that was exactly what I wanted even though I was unable to articulate it. Her intuition and her talent are astounding and she gave me such much more than I could have asked for. I had such a lovely time getting to know Jane and I am so in love with my tattoo. I can't wait to go back and have her do another!

Wow Nicole was awesome!!! She gave me the best tattoo experience I could have ever wanted. The tattoo was pretty much painless and wow she is so talented! I'm so happy I picked her to do this arrow tattoo on my forearm it's everything I could have wanted and more!

Scott's amazing. You will realize this within the first few minutes of speaking with him. I used the website to submit the image and idea of what I wanted as a tattoo and got a response within an hour. About a week later I was in for a consult with Scott to discuss what I wanted and he said he was very excited to do the piece... which is everything I wanted to hear when getting a tattoo that means a lot to me. He is super professional and lays everything out on the table during the consult so you know what to expect. He's truly an artist and obviously knows what he is talking about. Two months later is was time for my tattoo and it was a positive experience. Took about 2 and half hours. Scott and his apprentice Jane are very chill cool people, they seemed to vibe well together and made the environment relaxing... I didn't feel uncomfortable or intimidated at all, which can sometimes happen in a tattoo parlor. At the end of the appointment, Scott was very thorough about after care. He said I should come back in about 2 months to let him know if I need any touch ups which will be free. It was late at night and he walked me out to my car which to me, is going above and beyond. I have nothing but good things to say about Scott and Jane. Now that I have had this experience and while I'm still living in LA, I can't imagine going to anyone else for future tattoos!!

Tracy at the front desk was super helpful with check in and my questions about jewelry and what not. My one feedback and note would be to mention that visitors do have the option to "try-on" jewelry if they are torn between sizes or colors of jewelry because I think some newcomers wouldn't be aware they could do that if it's not mentioned. My friend asked to try a couple of jewel sizes and that was really helpful with decision making. (By try-on, you are just holding the jewelry piece up to yourself and checking yourself out in the mirror :P ) They offer titanium and gold jewelry here. Many beautiful pieces. They also sell saline spray (for $15 if I remember correctly) which I picked up since I was traveling and will be traveling again. Lacy pierced me and she was soooo amazing! She was really through with her explanations and I felt very comfortable with her. Everything went so smoothly and it was mostly painless - only a pinch in the process but no discomfort after the jewelry was already in. My friends and I left with super cute nostril piercings! Highly recommend this studio. Very grateful and happy with the experience here.

"Regarding your wait time, management confirmed it was significantly shorter than stated" - attached are photos at 6:20pm on 4/11/26 aka the time i went in & upon arrival i asked to use the restroom, i took a selfie amongst other pics & the date & time can be found on each one. When leaving, i was asked for my information & to enroll in ur $5 off coupon which was at 8:16pm on 4/11/26. almost exactly two hours, not sure which manager looked into that but i did not randomly chose that number. Consultation - Tabitha asked via phone if i was given the option or made aware of threadless vs threaded jewelry, i was not nor was I given the option between the two. (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Lacy said the piercings could get expensive when downsizing multiple sizes & when custom jewelry becomes a thing (she gave me an example of hers that have a wide flat back) which i understood. I was never told the jewelry on hand would be so flimsy or else i would have left with a spare set. or why wouldnt that be offered if its a known thing that theyre just going to break soon after? "our management team has reached out multiple times" - Tabitha called me on 4/20/26 at 2:03pm post yelp review & asking me to elaborate which i did. she apologized & said she would investigate & immediately followed up asking if i could "take down the yelp review" I initially agreed but im so glad i didnt. All that was asked of me was to pick a date & time & she will have someone replace the jewelry that broke at the el monte location but she would have to call me back & let me know if there was someone at that location who COULD do it & that she would call back. when she called back at 2:38pm 4/20/26 she stated ordering a threaded set would take 6-8 weeks & that she will order my downsize. we agreed on that solution & hungup. Then 4/28/26 Tabitha texts me & there was no solution so we could agree on so thanked her & left it at that (screenshots attached as well) "waived fees" - crazy cause you guys swear this is something special. when i get my nails done & one breaks theyre quick to fix it FOR FREE & not keep reminding me that breakage could happen nor badgering me that IM at fault for it/knew the risks. Theres no fee to waive if i want to put the jewelry in my own face for free which you guys denied me of because u didnt want to mail them to me. "we offered appointments at our other locations with free parking lots" - text attached of Tabithas convo but she definitely stated STREET parking, exactly how the LA location is so.. not sure where the "Convenience & Options" were. sorry it came to this Leo, maybe ask both sides next time instead of just listening to one.

I had to wait a year to get my appointment because of how talented Bryan Ramirez is. I walked in, very hyped up, with a tiny 3x4 old ID picture of my father. Bryan treated the image on his computer, expanded it, and kept in touch throughout the process. After a few visits, he carefully listened to my project vision, embraced it, and, most importantly, provided real feedback about size, positioning, and expectations. I have a few other tattoos from multiple artists, and I can confidently say the level of service and quality here is top notch. The previous artists weren't even close to this level of skill. The day I showed up for my session, I felt heard and taken care of. Bryan paused whenever I communicated that I needed a break, and the project was finished in a few hours. His attention to detail is incomparable. If you're searching for an experienced, skilled, detail-oriented tattoo artist, look no further. Contact Reservoir Tattoo Studio and speak with Bryan Ramirez, though I'm sure any artist linked to this studio is just as talented and professional. Can't wait to return for a future session. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. He wanted double bands around his forearm and Sam was able to sketch it out and do the tattoo on the same day. We were in and out within 1.5 hours. He explained the process and aftercare which made getting a tattoo seamless and less daunting. I was on the fence about getting a tattoo but my friend said if he got one I would have to get one too. I decided to get a runner with an ekg as I thought it was fitting for me. I wanted something small for my first tattoo and easily to keep hidden from my mom (sorry mom). He asked me to send him a picture of what I wanted and scheduled an appointment for Monday at 11am. Once Monday came I walked over and signed the consent form. He then printed out the tattoo and placed the outline on my chest and asked me if it was where I wanted it. Being a tattoo noob I trusted his judgement. After letting the outline dry I laid down and he began working on the piece. He said since it was a small tattoo and mainly lines there shouldn't be much pain and the healing process wouldn't be as long. It took about 30 mins to finish up the tattoo and the quality came out amazing. There was no pain at all and he went over the aftercare as well. I showed Sam this other tattoo I wanted and he said he would be able to do that as well. He says his art style is realism and anime so I can't wait to get more work done by him. He has been tattooing for 2 years now along with his apprenticeship. He told me to message him when I'm ready for my next piece. Maybe this tattoo thing is an addiction and will keep you coming back for more.
