I decided to take lessons with Alex after talking to 7,8 accent coaches over the phone call. Alex gave me the most meticulous feedback, and it really hit the point. I like that he gave me a full analysis, pointed out exactly the things I needed to work on, then we drill on it. It's really helpful. He also response my questions after class with a detail feedback. It's a great experience learning with Alex. He has lots of patience, answer my question thoroughly. I can tell he is really interested in linguistic. And so do I. Highly recommend his class!

I have been taking lessons with Alex for a year now. It's mostly on and off, mostly off due to my…read morescheduling. The reason why I reached out to Alex was that I haven't been using my writing skills for years because I was in sales and it requires little to no professional writing at all. In the beginning, the cost was a bit higher than I had expected. I never had to pay for a tutor, so I don't know what the average price was. Nonetheless, I still scheduled a meeting with Alex. I wanted to see if $$$$ means quicker results. I have noticed that my writing skills have improved over the year. He was able to point out the mistakes I been overlooking and help me catch these mistakes. He is very patient and is willing to work with my crazy schedule. I can't say that my writing skills were improved overnight. It did require that I also do homework, and my willingness to improve as well. The bottom line, could I write a novel without any mistakes? No. Could I write professionally with little to no mistake? Sure.

With the job market being competitive, I immediately gave Julia a call after I finished my final…read morepresentation round of interviews for a corporate role. At that moment, I did not know if I would get the new job or not, but I knew I needed a boost to feel confident in my presentation & public speaking skills as a long term goal. When speaking with Julia, she helped me address some concerns I struggled with: articulating my thoughts, nerves/anxiety, presenting in front of high stakeholders, etc. I asked her to help me with presentations because my new role would involve frequent meetings with key stakeholders and storytelling. After consulting with Julia, she recommended that I do 1:1 coaching with her and it was the best investment I did for my professional development in my career. The module courses are straight forward and are taken online. For the coaching sessions, she offers both in-person and virtual zoom meetings. I had the opportunity to meet her once in SF and did the rest all online since it was far away from me in the Bay Area. However, meeting virtually was absolutely effective and convenient for my needs. I enjoy listening to her videos, podcasts, and extra modules that are so helpful. I finished the Fully Expressed Mentorship Program and can say I feel a lot more confident and comfortable doing presentations. Before I used to talk so fast due to nervousness and anxiety, but now I am relaxed and engaged as a communicator in my presentations. Even my new manager for my new role has been giving me kudos for doing a great job with improving each time I present to her, all thanks to Julia's coaching and guidance. Thank you Julia, and for anyone who is reading this, I highly recommend her programs.

I couldn't agree more with Emily's 5-star reviews! She's knowledgeable, flexible, professional,…read moreand all around delightful to be with (which the kids love too). Most impressively, she thinks about your kid's development holistically - from hearing to eating, sleeping, learning, emotional/behavioral matters - all to understand the potential root causes of speech issues. She's essentially a one-stop-shop resource that provides you a comprehensive - yet targeted(!) - treatment plan...all in under 30 min/week! :) She quickly assessed that our 3-year old needed (i) a hearing test and (ii) to see an ENT for ear tube surgery, which leap-frogged his speech progress nearly overnight (seriously). Even post-surgery, she inquired about his sleep and eating - which we were having challenges with (but I didn't think were related!) - and she recommended a follow-up with our ENT to confirm if anything else is physically inhibiting him. Whether it's being flexible with last minute scheduling changes, providing me talking points so I can have richer conversations with my son's doctors, or recommending Daniel Tiger episodes to prepare my son for surgery - she's a TREMENDOUS resource and I feel so lucky we found her!

His use of relatable analogies and engaging anecdotes activated parts of my brain that I feel helped convert concepts into my own logical ideas and practical experience, thus helping me to remember the content. If you've ever fallen asleep reading the PMBOK, then this course is for you - definitely 100% worth the investment!! I ended up being the only student in the course due to a group rescheduling and was given the option keep the course or roll into the next one. I decided to take the course and although I'm sure solo is a very different experience vs. group, feel very fortunate to have had this sort of "coaching" type experience. The statement on the course webpage "Guaranteed to run on dates listed" is 100% accurate. Case in point - CJ is a devoted Dodgers fan and instead of watching the world series live, opted to hold the session scheduled for that evening which speaks volumes about his dedication to his students' success and his profession! I didn't even know there was a baseball game on. I still can't believe I was able to memorize earned value management formulas in less than an hour. CJ shares tried and true best practices to help prepare for exam day as well as valuable test-taking approaches that I don't really see anywhere else. After each session I felt even more energized and motivated than the last. Thanks so much CJ!!
