Obviously they could have said this 2 1/2 weeks sooner and avoided the negative post, but for some reason they decided to ignore me twice. I did contact our local Congressman Mr. Barry Loudermilk and his staff made inquiries 'higher up' they said and the funds were returned with no delay, getting to me Monday 4/8/19 and the $ is now deposited in a financial institution 2 blocks from that stupid Canton Sun Trust Bank. 1 Star -- Extremely Disappointed…read more I hired this attorney to handle the probate of my mother and father. He was paid in full before providing services--something I now consider a major red flag. My father's probate was filed on July 2, 2025. After my mother's probate was completed and her Letters of Administration were published beginning March 18, 2026, I repeatedly contacted the attorney by text and email asking about my father's case. Getting answers was extremely difficult. I eventually contacted the probate clerk myself and discovered that documents were missing and the court had already mailed my attorney a letter notifying him of the missing documents. I ultimately received my father's Letters of Administration to publish beginning July 1, 2026--nearly a year after the case was filed. This delay had a real financial impact. I could not get the deed transferred into my name in time to apply for the homestead exemption before the deadline. When I questioned the attorney about the delay, his response was: "No time tables at all with probate. They take their sweet time." I understand that courts have their own timelines. What I expected from the attorney I paid in full was to monitor the case, address outstanding documents, communicate with me, and keep the process moving. Instead, I had to repeatedly chase him for updates and ultimately contact the court myself to find out what was happening. Probate is already difficult when you're dealing with the loss of both parents. Having to fight for basic communication from the attorney I hired only made it worse. In hindsight, paying the entire fee upfront should have been my first red flag. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this attorney for probate.

On at least 4 occurrences I took time off work to sit in the court room until I called and was notified by his friendly staff that my hearing had been postponed. This should have been a red flag to his poor service. This assumption was confirmed when almost 3 years after purchasing his services he claimed I had not paid his fee in full. I was unable to find a receipt of my final payment due to the length of inactivity. I did provide an email he sent stressing I must pay at our 1st court appearance, which is when I paid him the 2nd installment if the legal fee. His kimd staff even confirmed that the office had changed their account management system sometime after the first court date. He continued to give a false sincerity until I chose to refuse his suggestion of a plea deal for a DUI that we have proven I was not intoxicated during. Communication pretty much ceased until today when I recieved notice he has dropped my case. He has done zero work on this case and it seems I was being extorted for more money. A competent attorney would resolve a simple dui case within 3 years and also have the ability to manage his billing practices.

I had some issues in Canton, Ga. Police have a very tough job and make mistakes and thus, found myself in the back of a police car on the way to jail. However, I felt my attorney was more interested in a Plea Bargain than clearing my good name. I spoke with friends in the police department back home in Indiana and they advised me to seek other counsel. The first time I met him was at the courtroom calendar call. As I sat waiting, Numerous sloppily dressed defendants and attorneys with bad suits filed in and out of the courtroom. Scott, Well prepared, studied my case, knew the law, dressed sharp and also had a good rapport with everyone. Did his homework after a day in court! Great Job picking my jury! Mr. Poole took the prosecution's case apart step by step. Mr. Grisham and Mr. Poole have different styles but they have incredible synergy! The jury came back, Victory! Unanimous Not Guilty on all counts. All said and done, an outstanding job and whatever I paid them just wasn't enough. I left the office a huge tip with no regrets! We made the decision to supress evidence in the case and Mr. Poole won the argurement and evidence against me was dismissed.
