I never have to wait very long in the waiting room. She is very thorough and you can tell her patrons really love her. The staff is great too. My husband said to me recently, "Don't you think she's a little old to be going to a pediatric dentist?" I said I plan on taking her to Dr. Azin as long as she takes her! When my daughter was very young, she received stickers and a small toy. Now that she's older, she gets a toothbrush and floss! She learned that you don't have to fear the dentist (unlike me who had a long phobia of dentists, which I've since gotten over). My friend recommended her and I've recommended her to several friends. It's a rare find to find a really great healthcare professional. She respects her clients and I have nothing but praise for her and her practice. I go to the Bay Shore location but wanted to review for this location as well. I don't often give five stars but I just think she's awesome and deserves praise. I usually give reviews for restaurants but realized I could have also given a review for Dr. Azin. So here you go! Good luck as you research pediatric dentists. However, if she takes your insurance, it's a no-brainer. She is an excellent dentist.

I was very pleased with Dr. Calamia's gentle yet thorough approach. She spent extra time making my daughter feel comfortable. Dr. Calamia even communicated exactly what my daughter needed to me making me feel more at ease. This is a wonderful place. Thank you for treating my daughter and I like family. He is the most thoughtful, honest and kind dentist - not to mention really skilled...he manages to make everything feel so painless and comfortable. I even converted my partner to become a super fan/loyal patient of Dr. Lee's. Dr. Lee is very methodical, pragmatic and generally conservative when it comes to providing advice. I love that about him as I never feel like he is trying to upsell me anything or recommend unnecessarily aggressive treatments. The other dentists in the office are also great although I've mainly seen Dr. Lee. I am moving out of New York and I actually feel pretty doubtful I can find another dentist as good as Dr. Lee in my new city of residence! I don't like to leave reviews often, but I feel compelled to do it for Dr. Lee!

Nobody likes going to the dentist, but I was pleasantly surprised by the nice clean office and friendly team. They offer you free beverages like bottles of starbucks frappes or powerade which is a nice touch. I can tell they are still trying to build a clientele so happy to give the recommendation. The only.downsides are that the office is on.a high floor in a small elevator building so the elevator can be slow, and today, they were running a bit late even though I was scheduled for a 9AM appointment and didn't get into the chair until 9:30. The dentist is super nice though. He let me watch The Daily Show on Hulu on his computer screen while he worked on my teeth so that I wouldn't have to focus too much on all the drilling :)

Look no further - this is your new dental office. I was lucky enough to have an associate of my wife recommend us to Alexandra Simpson D.D.S. and she has been nothing short of a revelation - so much so, that I debated whether to share how awesome she is. But there is no reason to keep such a top notch Dentist a secret. You're welcome, NYC. If you have read my other reviews, you know I recently had a VERY bad experience with a dentist. Dr. Simpson not only repaired the terrible looking work that was done, she eliminated the pain and rubbing I was experiencing and I was able to eat afterwards with no pain whatsoever. She is gentle, talks you through every moment of the procedure and is hands down the best Dentist I have had the privileged of sticking their hands in my mouth. I will be returning so she can repair another piece of old work, a damaged cosmetic bond that I'm confident she'll fix with great results. The receptionist was rude and inconsiderate. Children crack teeth all the time, they have accidents, etc and we can't believe a pediatric dentistry would react this way to what ended up being serious damage that required an immediate extraction. We couldn't believe how we were treated and will not be returning. Luckily another pediatric dentist was kind and even offered to stay open if we couldn't get there within their open hours.
