I bought a tube from the Seaweed Bath Co., thinking that it seemed a bit pricey at around $20 but then checked online and saw that it's $19 direct from the manufacturer. I looked around the store and saw some interesting products that I'd never seen before, like mycelium-based bacon (MyBacon). Some items seem overpriced (olive oil) but others (Sappo Hill or Dr. Bronner's soap) are very reasonable. I'm giving Joshua Tree Health Foods 5/5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, based on the following: * Large selection of bulk ingredients, from nuts and flour to herbs and spices. * Almost all of the items stocked in bulk were organic. * When I looked at specific products, like bar soap, the brands in stock were among the most ethical. * A large amount of vegan items on sale such as Nuts for Cheese and Violife dairy. * Inclusive business where all are welcome.
