Poor Customer service. The car wash machine took my $20 to pay for a $5 wash and gave me a "voucher" that did not work on my next visit. Waited 15 minutes for assistance as I was instructed to do. When I stopped waiting and went to see "Joe" the proclaimed owner myself- he was drying dishes in the oil and lube connected business with 2 others just standing around. He said no one had told him I was waiting for him. NO apology. No attempt to right a wrong. The feeling I got was he felt giving me my due change was above and beyond for him. The gentleman at the car wash was very nice, my one star is because I went through 3 times and told the other gentleman that something is on the hanging down rags where the wax comes out and is leaving an oily residue on my car/windshield. The guy from the oil change walked through and said there was nothing on the other car that went through. After going through a 3rd time, I said screw it and went back to work and had to clean it off myself. The residue was all over my hood, my windshield, the roof of my car and down the back. Hopefully they get this taken care of as I did like going there weekly. When I asked for a refund, I was told they couldn't give me one. I will have to go through a different car wash to get the residue off the rest of my car. read more

My car was filthy.. I joked about possibly having to go through twice, the young man working there, was working by himself, and it was a super busy(sunny)day, he didnt miss a beat, sprayed my car, then went around with the brush, all before going through the wash, he did this for every dark goung through, without any help! Needless to say it was well worth it! Especially for $5.00.. they dont expect tips but tips are appreciated. I didn't have to go through a 2nd time, my car was very clean! Sparkling even! read more

Was very disappointed w/ my last wash. No attendant to guide you in nor wash/brush car b4 entering. Therefore car was off track for the duration. Car looked as dirty as when I started. This place was the "Touch of Class" where I went for years. They were great! This time when I toook Libby in for her oil change I really felt they did not care about my business. One guy had his girlfriend there while doing my oil change and the other guy talked on his cell phone the whole time. When I noticed that he had not checked the air in the spare on the back rack, he mumbled and did it. After I got to my next stop I came out of the store to find both my front tires flat because the stem caps were not replaced properly. Luckly I was somewhere that air was available. When I stopped back to kindly complain, no offer of explanation or offering of compensation was made. Guess they don't want me as a customer any more! read more

Went through the wash & when I reached my destination the entire back of car was as dirty as when I started. I had my receipt so I went back to go through again. I was told by the attendant since I left the parking lot they were no longer responsible. I asked him to look at the back of car, which he did, but said his boss would not allow it. Backed up, left and will not return. read more

Worst experience ever none of there equipment was working covered van with soap no rinse no dry when confronted employees I told the what happened he got very angry just asked to run van back thru I will never go there again. read more

Got the $5 car wash and my car came out just as dirty as before, streaks on my back window. Tried calling to see if I could go back through, no one answered. Lesson learned: check your car before you leave the parking lot. read more

Today was the second time that the washer was smoking and the smoke filled my car. I have kids in the car which makes it dangerous and this seems super unprofessional. I had to roll my window down during the beginning of the wash to ask them to stop smoking and neither of the two washers were respectful. One argued with me and told me that they had permission to smoke from their boss and that they were in an outdoor area (except the area was in an interior garage with an open garage door). I had to ask numerous times until they finally put out the cigarette. After the encounter, the wash was by far the worst wash I have experienced since joining as a monthly subscriber. I went inside to speak with the manager and he was rude and disrespectful, but in the end did say he would take care of it. I asked him for contact information for the owner and he refused. He even said that there is no contact information for the owner including email or phone. When I signed up monthly, I signed up our two cars. The deal at the time was that my second car was cheaper. However, my second car has been charged the same amount as the first each month. Honestly, the washes are a cheap quick wash. They dont really clean your vehicle well, but at least the salt is removed in the winter. There have been a number of times that I have gone to get a wash and they are closed well before the posted hours. This is very inconvenient and disappointing along with a waste of my time. Im bothered that I have been lied to on a number of occasions. Im bothered that when I ask a question, I get a grumpy disrespectful answer. Im bothered that I am not treated well as a customer at this business. My next step is to report this business to the BBB in Grand Rapids. I will likely be ending my subscription on both of my vehicles. read more

I got the $10 wash and it was ok. Most of my vehicle was clean except for the front bumper area that looked like it was hardly touched. It's good for a quick fairly cheap wash but don't expect your car to come out spotless. I'll come back for the free vacuums as much as the wash. read more

Got my car wash on 3/7/19. 7:05ish. Paid for the top dog wash. First the attendant did not do a good job of touching up areas like they usually do. Just sprayed it and went back into the back room. No wash on the back of the car. I have a hatchback and it needs the wash brush as your brushes do not get the back clean. Next going down the line it seems as though some of the extras I payed for did not turn on. Then the "hot wax" only dribbled on one side of my car. Not a good experience. Usually it is a good wash.. That said I will not be back until you fix your machines. read more

I started getting my oil changed there about a year ago. My last vendor managed to insult my car. Yes, it was a piece of s***, but I am putting my kids through college and have sacrificed to do so. The oil change service has been great. I don't feel they are trying to upsell me all the time. Also I get a free car wash whenever I get it changed. The service is fast and convenient. We have been taking our cars to get our oil changed here for a number of years, and have always been satisfied with this place. The service is quick, and you can't beat a free car wash and free vac's to boot! The only time we had trouble was once when the a spark plug wire got pinched in the oil cap as it was closed. When I called the manager and explained the situation, he was very accommodating and helped with the cost of replacing the wires. Great customer service! Thank you! read more

$800 + dollars of damage !!!!! Took my car here recently for a wash. They were completely negligent and caused major damage to the front and rear of my car. I got, "sorry, we are not responsible for any damages" they wouldn't even give me the number to talk to the owner. Do not take your car here, these people will not stand behind their work. read more

They tell you you can have a "free" windshield repair, but they bill your insurance company. They did this to my son and had him show them the proof of insurance card. The car is titled to me and the insurance is in my name. I don't think they had the right to do that without my consent.\ read more

As I pulled up to the door I waited 3 minutes with the bays both empty and 3 guys leaning against the table in the middle texting and looking at me. It took a guy to come up from the lower floor to open the door and help me. The three guys proceeded to talk about non company stuff with vulgar words in it and it turned out one was the manager. Al the shirts were untucked and manager spoke on phone about hirinf and firing poor employee when he called them. All of this in front of customers and then he asked me if i wanted to get my windshield chip fixed for free i said why its cracked half way across the windshield. Went through this car wash Friday (3/29/13) it was busy half way through it stopped but the cars hit mind got damage to front bumper the truck in front of me kept going when we got through the wash. Spoke with Jason General manager he claims it was the truck that stopped. He went to view it on his recording system but claim it wasn't on there and that it wasn't there fault. I tried to show him the damage and the fact it didn't clean the car but he was not interested. So warning people the system could fail and they will not be responsible. read more

bad people, bunch of kids with no idea how to operate a business running the place I have wash tickets I purchased some time ago and the new owners didn't want to honor, I finally got them to agree to honor it and then they cheated me by not activating all the add ons. I had my oil changed at this location. After around 2000 mile I noticed that my vehicle was leaking oil. I brought it back here on Dec 23rd, 2017. They looked the vehicle over and could not find the source of the leak. I then scheduled a service appointment with Van Andel and Flikkama. I brought the vehicle in on Dec 26th for service. The issue was a cracked oil cooler caused by over tightening during the oil change at Sparkling Image. The service people at VanAndel mentioned that they see this quite often. The cost of the repair was $750.00. I returned to Sparkling Image with the part and a detailed description of the problem and the cause. Immediately the manager Nathan Hekker became very rude and indignate. He looked at the part and stated that he could not see a crack and would have to speak to the owner before anything could be done. I asked for the owner's info but he refused to give it to me. To date I have returned on 4 separate occasions not only trying to get a resolution but to also have the part returned to me. On all occasions he refused to return the part nor give me the owners contact info. On my last attempt to retrieve my part I did get the police involved. When the officer arrived and heard my story he was not surprised as this was not his first visit to this location and a discussion with Nathen Hekker. Needless to say I will be pursuing a legal remedy. Obviously this business should be avoided at all costs and the word should be spread by all that see this so others will not have to deal with this.
