This was an extraordinarily poor experience. My husband clipped their ad out of the newspaper,…read morewhich stated they were running a "whole house" carpet cleaning "Back to School" special for $99. I called to line up the cleaning service and specifically asked if they actually meant the entire house. The person I spoke with said NOTHING about the size of the area to be cleaned nor did they ask me what size my house was. When the carpet cleaner showed up I specifically asked him about "upcharges" and if there was anything additional I should be expecting. He explained that there was a $3/per stair charge (which I happily agreed to) and there was also a charge for spot treatments (again, I happily agreed). I had to leave to run some errands and when I arrived home the bill on my counter was for over $500. Upon inspection, there were still areas of my carpet that had stains and my basement faucet was broken where he had pulled the sprayer out to the point that it could not be retracted. There was a charge for "extra" areas because apparently they only clean 1500 sq. ft. for the $99. There was also a $110 add on charge for cleaner and disinfectant (that I didn't ask for nor was I told about) at the end of my bill. I spoke with someone at their office twice after that and although the ad that we had cut out did not specify the 1500 sq. ft., she insisted that this has always been the case. They did agree to come back and fix the stains as well as the faucet but I won't hold my breath. It saddens me that the days of the "customer always being right" are long gone! I would not recommend this service!

The amount of the bill from Servpro was absolutely absurd. We received a bill for just over $7500…read morewhen our basement flooded. I was told $500 was removal of carpet and drywall. The remaining $7000 was what they charged to run fans for three and a half days. it is beyond ridiculous to charge that to run a fan. What a horrible way to gouge your community during a crisis time.
