However it is best avoided on a Friday or Saturday night as the place is crawling with students and drunks and there isn't a very nice atmopsphere. The staff are always friendly and chatty and they would often put stuff by for me if I asked. There is also a cash machine in this Co-Op but it is one of those ones that charge you for withdrawing so you're probably better off to pay card if you can.

This means I don't often end up shopping in there although when i do I always have managed to get what I need, although they have sometimes sell out of the basics later in the day. Staff seem friendly and will always help me find something if i cant see it. Self service tills are a little annoying through when they don't work properly. Mine kept complaining there was an unexpected item in the bagging area!

It's actually not got a bad range of food/drink/household items, for such a tiny little metro branch, and also the prices aren't bad, rivalling all the nearby newsagents/little shops. The only issue is that people do tend to mill about during very busy times, and it can be frustrating if you just want to whiz in and out again. The self-service check-outs are useful in theory, but sometimes they crash or refuse to let you pay, etc- and often it can be a while before a member of staff comes to help you.

The store, as you expect with Sainsburys is well decorated and light. There were soem very good bargins and offers on so ended up buying more than i wanted! I find the 99p Salami good value and the Chicken wings at £1.50 for a box of 6 at the moment. Managed to get lots of BOGOF so only ended up spending £23 which if I hadnt taken the offers would have cost over £40. Staff are friendly and always willing to have a chat when its quiet. Good stock of all items.

There is a cafe, which is probably the only downfall for me as the food isn't brilliant there. I think that the goods are usually good value for money, and the bonus over tesco further down the road is the pharmacy. There's lots of space to move around, and staff are usually pretty helpful.
