I would not recommend the company. I've been a customer for 2 years and six months. I missed a payment bc they never told me about how the card I placed on file could not be automatically charged. Then they sent my account to a collection agency. I never received an email or call. Then when I thought I had that straightened out the same thing happened when it was time to pay the quarterly bill for the rental of the propane tank??? I stopped by the Griffin location 4 times to speak with the CSA to find out that they are closed at 4 pm during the summer months. There was notice of this on the front door. I paid my bill in person. However, they did not contact the collection agency. That made it my responsibility, of course. Finally, though no fault of Spalding Gas I had a gas leak in my oven. The fire department came to confirm the leak. When I called Spalding Gas he strongly asked me to sign off that there was NOT a leak. I will admit that Andy did respond to my request for help. The last issue happened when they moved to McDonough which was not noted on their Goggle website. I will switch company's as soon as my tank is empty. Again, I would not recommend using this propane company. read more

Unfortunately when you are expecting a delivery and they don't show up when promised and it's Friday at 3pm (we called to check and we're told that he ran out of propane and they don't work Over the weekend and that 5 other people were pushed as well and they are all running out as well) and your down to 5% and you tell them you need propane for heat and hot water, they can't do much with only one driver. Not good service: how about work on a Saturday to keep your customers happy. If they would have told me when I booked the appointment that they have one driver and can't keep up to fill their promised dates I would have used another company. I was not and took them at their word. They don't care if you run out of propane they have only one driver now, many people are running out of propane because they can't fill all the tickets they have. We ended up calling Harold's in Jackson's on a Friday at 3pm and they came Saturday morning, now that's good service. read more

It's me again in 2021 and absolutely ashamed that we can't get full service through Georgia Power on this street. Let's talk... 1. I order propane on this past Wednesday to be delivered Friday. 2. I called Friday to pay the bill prior to the delivery guy coming out. I heard a hesitation in S voice however I kept moving (they never gave my ticket to the delivery guy). 3. Is now 4:00 p.m. no driver has showed up. I called the company S tells me that the person had a stack of tickets as she couldn't tell me where he was at in his delivery. I guess these WS think you're stupid as this guys have radios in their truck. Now the craziest thing is that when I call and spoke with S, she blatantly LIED on the phone to me unnecessarily. I cannot stand a liar or a cheater. If she knew that he was not going to make it then she should have stated that. I am just sick of all of these propane business; unprofessional and unapologetic for their lazy non business practice. See they have you in a bind because you can't go to anyone else there's no other people. You should not have taken my monies. I guess I need to be colorless to get propane delivery in timely fashion. read more

Since they were bought the delivery service has been terrible. We have called twice and it took almost 3 weeks each time. The first time we were at zero% for 8 days before we got service. This time we called February 12th we said we had 25% and called last week told them we were at 12% and still no delivery. read more

Have been a customer for 20 yrs. Foolishly did not buy tank from the beginning. Now want to buy tank, but, they will not sell. Want to sell me a new tank for twice the cost. Say that they cannot be responsible. They would not be responsible if they sold me the tank. But they are willing to take the tank back & allow some one else to use it. Spalding gas has let us run completely out of gas twice this COLD winter. They claim to only have one driver. We called 3 weeks ago and they never came. No other company is allowed (federal rules according to them) to fill their leased tanks. The gauge on their tank is broken. They've known since November but now say there's no note on our file. Horrible service. They get 0 stars on my rating. If you ask to speak to a manager "He's on vacation." read more

We have been doing business with Spalding Gas for over 30 plus years. Wouldn't use any one else. They keep our gas tank full per schedule every couple of months. They have very polite and prompt service people and the office staff is always kind and polite. Would highly recommend this company. read more

Customer service is not their strong point. Last week they missed their three hour window for a consultation. They did not call me at the end of the three hours. I had to call them. Someone did come out for the consultation and I was silly enough to schedule an appointment. They have now missed the three hour window for the service call. Again, they did not call me. I called them. Apparently, because I took three minutes to return a phone call this morning, they removed me from the schedule without telling me. I have the call log. I spent a minute talking to a ghost that works there! I have now spent 8 hours waiting for nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately, they have no competition in the area for working with natural gas. I guess that's why they can do as they please. read more

If you are looking for a good hvac company don't look here. They installed new unit in my home and did not put the filter cabinet in. This caused water backup in my entire system from the coil and filled my air return with water which in turn leaked to my new carpet and there is still water in the return vent. Have had them to my house four times and they are just now installing the air vent system. It's been a horrible installation from the first day. The installer has an attitude and for some reason acts like it's my fault he chose this profession. Please if you need installers for hvac call a professional. read more

This company is horrendous. They sold my elderly parents a heating air conditioning unit. It started acting up last winter. Every few weeks it would break requiring a service call. Part after part was replaced until a supervisor looked at it and stated the unit was set to natural gas not propane. More parts. Last week it went out again 11/28/18. Technician came out, more parts to be ordered. Stated they would be out 11/30 to fix it. As of today 12/4 no heat or parts to fix it. Receptionist/customer no service stated the part has not come in. Plus it's not getting cold until this weekend. Her words. It's in the 20's and 30's at night. They have a space heater to stay warm and my father has pneumonia. They are still paying on this crappy unit. read more

Do not schedule an appt with them. I went to the office on a Friday and set up a home appt to check my fireplace for using. The girl wrote my request on a piece of paper and even looked at the calendar to double check my requested date. The appt was set up for the next Friday morning. Now I sit through the day and no service to check yet. Called the office and was told they set it up for Monday and not the next Friday. They used excuse that it was set for a date that was before I had even walked in the door. If that had even been the case, they still did not show. My first and last visit to Spalding Gas - Griffin. Excellent Service Provider: Normally I don't write reviews but this time I felt impaled to share with others the great service we have been given from Spalding gas since we started with them 25 yrs plus. We are a prophane user through Spalding Gas... 2019 , we purchased a Breckenridge ventless firebox insert with Real fyre gas logs from Spalding Gas. Over the 25 years, we have purchased Lennox heating and air units plus our Rinnai tankless water heater from Spalding Gas. We have all our Heating and Air items serviced and maintained by Spalding Gas. No regrets with our purchases over the years. Our purchases has beeen great in performance and I contribute this to the professional installations and the maintenance program we have done yearly by them. This is little extra cost but well worth it. Spalding Gas has a great Customer Service department who provides direction when needed, provides scheduling on there installations and provides service work when needed. What I also like is they don't tag a commission charge on service repair like some other heating and air service providers. There rates are fair, there work crews are polite and professional. I would also highlight , Jennifer Palmer ; in Customer Service whose professionalism and willingness too listen, provides direction and interfaces with the Service Manager, to meet your budget needs are very rewarding. Special thanks to Spalding Gas Manager, Darrell Whatley; for his professionalism and the superlative skills he adds to each project.we had done. Customer Service and the Service Manager was very helpful selecting the brand Fireplace that would benefit us and type of controls it would have. Customer Service stayed in contact with us till the job was completed and ensured we were satisfied. They done this on each installation for us over the years. This place absolutely disgusts me!!! If I could give 0 stars, I totally would! I woke up Thanksgiving day to having no gas. I called immediately and even though it was 30 degrees outside, the rude lady who answered the phone deemed that it was a holiday and that it was not an emergency for them to come out. I called the following day asking them to come out and they said they would try to get out and would call me back. Never did. I ended up setting service up with Corbin Gas that day. So I called Spalding Gas the same day about getting their tank from my property. It has been 2 weeks and they still have not got their tank off. I called them this morning to inquire about it and the lady, of course, got rude with me telling me that they were too busy helping customers who called during normal business hours. Sadly, I cannot recommendation doing business with Spaulding Gas. After they messed up my last delivery I gave them another chance. After filling my tank their driver handed me an invoice, which I paid by mail the following week. Two weeks later I received a bill for an additional $77. When I called to ask why I was told the drivers have "crappy calculators" and he must have added it up wrong. Having paid the amount their driver charged me I am now being charged again because of their math error. Unfortunately since I just had the tank filled I am stuck with them for the time being. But as soon as the tank is empty I'm going to have them come pick up their tank and find another gas company. read more

Well, our AC at our office went out Monday. They came late in the day and said "we will be back first thing in the morning". They open at 8:00. Assumed they would be here then. They showed up at 9:15(after their morning office meeting). Was also told 3-4 hours to have the AC repaired so we should be good to go to see patients in the afternoon. I came in at 11:00 and no one was here. Office was still extremely hot, cords lying around so I knew they had been here. When I called to see what the status was, I was told the tech had left to go to another job in Mcdonough. He had not finished our job, just left to go to another one. Also, I had given him and other people there my cell phone to keep me in the loop as to what was going on and not once did they call me and tell he was there, he was leaving, when he would be back...etc. Nothing. Two techs showed up and said all that was needed was to put in the Freon and charge it up. I asked why they couldn't do it and they said they only have one person that handles that. Can't believe the company only has one service tech that can handle those issues. For a town as big as Griffin, that's ridiculous. He came back this morning before 8:00 to finish up which was really appreciated since our patients also have a problem being in a hot office but came with a real attitude problem. Probably because I complained that he left without finishing the job. I tried to talk to him, to ask him a few questions and he was extremely rude. So I have to agree with some of the other reviews. The customer service is sadly lacking. Absolutely no reason to have any kind of an attitude with the people you are servicing-really unacceptable and no excuse for not keeping a business informed as to what is going on when they were given cell phone numbers. I had to keep calling them. Lastly, they finished up today. ( I guess). They never came in and said anything to us when they got through. Just got in their trucks and left. We appreciate having air again. Not what we had to go through to get here or the attitude that was displayed. read more

Called for a gas fill up Friday December 29th 2017, had to leave a voicemail...no one ever showed up. Called again Tuesday January 2nd 2018 because (Monday was a holiday) called for 2 hours no one ever answered, finally got someone in their McDonough office. She stated they are unable to check voicemails they would have to come in early to do so. I asked about getting us some gas she said we couldn't get any til Thursday January 4th but for an extra $50 we can bring you some on Wednesday January 3rd. So I set it up for Thursday. my husband was a little upset that it was going to take a little less than a week to get us some gas. He called Tuesday January 2nd spoke to whom he believes was "Daryl" he stated that he would get some right out to us and wouldn't charge the extra $50 ... they never showed.....we ran out of gas now we are packing up 3 kids and headed to a HOTEL... I called Spalding gas in Griffin, Georgia to order gas for my aunt who is elderly and lives a couple hours away from me. Its late November and she was out of gas which is heat. They knew her tank was completely empty because they asked so they would know how much to bring. I called Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving and paid $296 with a card over the phone. Of course they took the money out of my account immediately, which would have been fine if they would have delivered the gas when they said they would. They said the gas would be delivered the Friday after Thanksgiving. They are unable to give you a time window of when they are going to be there so someone had to be home all day.(Not sure why seeing as the delivery was already paid for.) My aunt waited on them until 9 pm when she finally gave up. I called this morning (Monday) and the girl who answers the phone went through the tickets and said she has no idea why he didn't deliver it Friday. So she called the driver, he said he thought it was on the ticket for today. I know mistakes happen but they could care less about my aunt who had no heat for 5 days. Now they will be there "sometime this afternoon". They were unable to tell me what time they stop running at night. So I guess my aunt will have to wait around all day today again in a cold house until they feel like delivering the gas that was paid for days ago. read more

i have been with spalding gas for 40 years and never had any trouble receving my gas when i ordered gas.2-3-18 i called and asked for gas and the person that took my call said they could not deliver my gas on saturday because in my area the delivery day was thursday i told her i was on 3 per cent she said there would be a 50 dollar charge for delivery out of my schedule day. i told her in 40 years of buying my gas from spalding gas i had never heard of this i hung up the phone and in a few minites she called back and said she would deliver the gas on saturday as i was just about out and would wave the 50 dollar fee, well saturday came and went now it is monday and still no gas what to do after 40 years with no problems, i am 75 years old and with all my problems i dont need any more, HAROLD MORRIS read more
