As they are owned by the daughter of the Monichino winery and having been there several times for dinner I was quite looking forward to this meal. The decor of the place is nice and the staff although a little green and lacking customer service experience in a restaurant were friendly and courteous. We had a few small hiccups namely when we rang they said no need to book so we didn't. But once there the place was quite full and they want to sit us at a wine barrel table. Anyway a table came up and we were seated the table was in even and rocked about considerably so we asked for something to pack under the keg it the table which seemed to confused the waitress. Any we shifted to another table as my mate gets a bit pedantic about that sort of thing. So we ordered some coffee which wasn't bad and perused the menu. There wasn't a lot to offer I thought for lunch. Being a couple of share platters five mains and six tapas style plates. A little disappointing really. We both ordered the chicken burger and it was nice the brioche bun I'm not really a fan of but it was a simple burger really. It came with a serve of chips and these were nice and crunchy. Overall I think once they find their feet and the staff are comfortable and competent. And if they expanded the menu a small amount or made all day breakfast available then this would give a few more options to choose from. Although not expensive and really just the same price as most places they need to life to get a good customer base as there are some excellent Cafe's near that serve better coffee and food with a lot more options to choose from only a block away. Having said that I would return with my partner to see if they had improved and give them another chance.

She was 100% right. I had to fight the good lady and daughter off from eating it all from out under me. It really feels like we finally have a Michelin Star restaurant in Shepparton. I have been to this place a lot of times. The pizza made are halal and delicious. I ordered twelve pizza (four kebab pizza, five barbecue chicken pizza and three hot and spicy pizza all of which were good pizzas) for a party and upon pick up which only took them fifteen minutes to cook. A very impressive amount of time. The owner of the store gave us two large drinks and two garlic breads as a reward with no charge for free. Which is probably a bribe that hurts no one and every pizza shops and businesses must do. They also asked us if we needed any help to get the pizzas in the car which we didn't. Anyways those kind of briber equates to a great customer service and one that will take me back many times in their shop again and again. Makes you feel appreciated and welcomed. Not to say that there pizzas are expensive, they reasonably priced pizzas and even though they have a monopoly within some part of the community they have managed to not abuse their power. The meals were reasonably quick to come out considering how busy the place was and were a fairly generous size. The staff were quite friendly and attentive. The function we attended was catered for and was finger food and the quality of it was quite nice. It wasn't five star quality but was obviously home made sausage rolls, lovely soft calamari and moist chicken tenders not mass produced out of a box. The room was nice and big and well set up. The only problem I didn't have was that it was all cash at the bar and no eftpos so I had to make a quick trip to the atm down the street but was all good after that. After waiting an hour we asked how much longer it would be and we're told it wouldn't be long. There were others that were also waiting for long periods of time for their meals. After waiting an hour and 20 minutes we rang the front desk and asked how long it would be and were told it would be soon then they rudely hung up on us. Our meal came after an hour and a half. We had no staff members seeing if we wanted any more drinks or apologetic about how long it was taking and the staff were all standing around doing nothing. The meals were wrong when we finally got them so that was the turning point. We got up and walked out and cancelled our meals they did give us the garlic bread for nothing and the owners were very apologetic and offered us a voucher to return which I refused. Won't be going back any time soon. Key observation were that they had obviously opened the doors too quickly and had not had enough time to train there staff or properly test the order systems. The place looked cheap and nasty and I would be surprised if they last 12 months before closing unless they improve vastly.

Just because it's in there middle of an industrial district, this is not just a quick place for workers to get lunch. A combination coffee shop and thai restaurant, it excels at both. Firstly the coffee. These guys know their stuff, and easily have the best coffee in Shepparton. They roast their own beans and put a lot of care into it. Their rotated beans are so highly regarded that they actually sell them to a lot of the other cafes around Shepparton. Next, the food. First, don't expect a menu of a Thai restaurant. They have a menu with about five thai dishes, which constantly changes to keep it interesting. Very full of flavour and with flavours and dishes that go beyond what most people have tried and thai restaurants. Once you go you'll see want this strange out of the way place is always so popular.
