There's a great restaurant and bar with friendly and helpful staff.The park owners are the very essence of Georgia hospitality.The site is quiet and the people staying there are also very friendly. I was booked for two nights but decided to forfeit what I'd paid and move after one night. The staff is friendly enough but the campground leaves a lot to be desired. There is no WiFi. I don't know how they can indicate that there is. I connected to the WiFi but couldn't access the internet for email or browser searches. Worse still, I had no cell signal with my T-mobile service. None. I was traveling with a friend whom I'd dropped off at a hotel and text communication with her was in and out. The location near a busy road noted by other reviewers didn't bother me but the place felt a little creepy. Maybe because it was clear that there were a lot of permanent residents and there was stuff piled up outside of trailers that wasn't attractive. Bathroom/shower room was clean enough but it was impossible to avoid everyone's muddy footprints. Shower was more warm than hot. Given all the trees, I wanted the place to feel more park-like and natural but it didn't. Hard to explain but I just couldn't see sticking around for a second night. read more

This rv Park is a mix of some people that live here but mostly filled with regular RV'ers. Paved roads with gravel sites, full hookup, and cable tv. They should get online reservations to make it easier and make the long term live in folks clean up. Looks a little trashy around their sites. We stayed for one night as a stop over. I have experienced a lot better campgrounds. Don't except much from the public bathrooms. They smelled and were not maintained well. The public shower requires you to push a button every 20 seconds to receive more water. The public restroom bathroom did not work correctly and the water did not flush completely out. They have dimly lit walkways around the campground which doesn't work well with the stumps and poorly maintained walkways. Encountered a Grumpy staff when checking in. "Resort" is not the word I would use for it, I would have used "Rest Stop". ...should have booked a local hotel (which are well priced!) or the RV resort closer to Savannah. read more

PROS: Nice RV park, beautiful oaks and moss, indicative of the area. Rustic. Paved roads, graveled sites. Full hook up. Staff very friendly, meets you upon arrival and drives you to your site. Stayed for two nights and it accommodated our needs. We took a trolley tour of historic Savannah, and the tour group picks up directly from the resort for an all day experience, which was very convenient. CONS: Outdoor relaxing was a no-go, due to wasps under the picnic table at our site and lots of other flying bugs in the area. Half of the grounds were blocked off, suspect due to either construction or flooding in the area. Lots of full timers / monthly renters here, and some of the full time sites were a bit sore on the eyes. read more

I guess you get what you pay for. People were extremely nice and helpful. The resort was not in best of shape. Lots are small with little outdoor space. Very unlevel lots, mostly gravel, with very few concrete pads. Rained a lot during our week and had to wade through 3-4 inches of water to get to RV. The people who work at this RV resort are the nicest people I have encountered in my travels. The park is pretty. The area is clean. The staff are helpful and kind. We had a tire go flat when we were leaving. The staff helped us locate the problem. They helped us find a mobile tire guy to replace the tire and made a spot for us to stay another night. They went above and beyond the norm to help us. We will stay here each time we travel north and south! read more

Campground is a 1-2 at best. We stayed there the week of 22 - 29 July 2018. Staff was friendly and escorted you to your site. It appears that this is was a mostly seasonal campground. The seasonal sites look unkempt, campers were dirty. With little to NO supervision from the front. Sites are small, dirty with no fire pit (Fire pits available for rent something like $5.00 per day) The picnic table was green from moss. (never power washed) Very buggy (they not spray) The pool didn't receive a daily cleaning any of the days we were there. (for of the dirt, bugs and leaves in the pool) The bathhouses and laundry were okay (a little dirty at times) They have a convenience store but overpriced. Case in point i brought up my propane tank because we thought it was empty (12 pound tank) they filled 8/10th of a pound and charge me $15.99 asked to speak to the manager regarding this issue. Was told she (Cindy) only closed the store at 9pm. Ask her to call me (no response) I could have bought a small can for less then that. There are no activities for the kids. Swing set was still being built with a beginning of the summer date. (no completed) The gym had 4 pieces of equipment and they looked not to be clean. Don't think we will be back (sorry) read more

Feel like I have to add a review for this park since there are some pretty bad reviews posted and we had a good experience here. I do agree that it is near a busy road, but if you are inside your rig, it isn't too noisy. The sites are gravel and very level. I will say the sites are quite close together but our neighbors were very quiet. We had a pull through 50 amp ste. Although there were beautiful oaks with Spanish moss, our satellite dish was even able to lock in..... ice surprise! Cable and wifi worked, too. Simple but quaint with clean, bathrooms where the shower is hot and plentiful! No concrete to be found but you Camp under live Oaks next to a bayou. Fish off a solid boardwalk for some catfish. Minimal store with very nice people to help you. A trolley runs to Savannah so you can see the sights without the hassle. Best shower in a month! read more

Call health department before you stay here!! They had a flood and had customers parked on top of open sewage! The owners and workers are so extremely rude. I do believe the only reason the place is still in business is because it is in a good location. If you're Looking for a monthly stay look somewhere else they do not care about the people that stay there monthly. First night we got there someone was parked in our spot. Instead of changing our spots so we didn't have to move again they put us in a temp spot. Then water from the river started to rise they told us it was high tide and there was nothing to worry about, that sounded fishy to me so we moved our low to the ground the car to the front of the RV park. When I woke up the next day our camping spot was completely underwater they didn't come to try to move us to warn us or nothing. When we tried to get them to move us to a front spot they drug their feet and we had to threaten a call to the BBB. We moved to the front of the RV park (which is more on a hill) they called us two days later to tell us to move back to our original flooded spot and the water was still over the road. My husband does not like to argue so he moved back to the flooded spot the health department came and told us to move spots again because it was unsafe. We moved again and the next day the park called and told us to move out. This is after paying for a month the only gave us a portion of the money back and this was only day four of the month this was so annoying bc we have had to move just within their park so many times and they had no remorse or could care less how much they inconvenienced us. I had a package coming the Rv park that was already ordered before we had to leave I just called bc amazon left me a message saying they dropped the package off two days ago, the lady tells me they sent the package back which was a lie bc amazon would have put this in their notes. I called in the morning and made a reservation for one night. They took all of my information including my credit card info. I informed them I was in a Class A Motorhome with a tow dolly and toad and would be arriving very close to closing time. They called and left me a voice message later in day close to closing asking when I would arrive. The road to the place is not lit nor was the sign to the park. I arrived 10-15 minutes before closing and was told by the clerk they had no records of my reservation and I probably had the wrong camping grounds. When I showed them my phone calls to them and played back their voice message back to me they admitted I was not at the "wrong place" but did not apologize and said someone must have made a mistake. Obviously that "someone" was them. They did not seem very apologetic at all. They informed me that they no longer had any room in the park but I could park behind the "store" for $10 less than the price quoted in the AM with my Good Sam's discount. Given the late hour and lack of options I agreed even though I was outside of the campgrounds, had no access to any of the amenities and no room to open my slide. I proceeded to hook up my power but my surge protector detected a fault that finding that the voltage was OK but the frequency on one of the lines was too high (69hz). The surge protector did it's job and blocked voltage from reaching and potentially damaging my Motorhome. When I went back to the office they suggested my surge protector was faulty. When I took the clerk outside and plugged my surge protector into the adjacent outlet it showed correct voltage and frequency and allowed power through but my cord was not long enough to reach and the space was too difficult to maneuver into with my home and dolly. When asked if I could run my generator they said no it was too late at night might disturb others. Normally this would make sense but I was outside of the campgrounds and near no one. They had no extension cord I could borrow to reach the other properly functional electrical box and asked if I might instead use the 30A outlet above the defective 50A. I did have a dogbone but no 30A surge protector and was not going to trust the electronics on my new 2018 Motorhome to a business that was obviously incompetent, clueless and rude. I ran off the inverters instead, and "camped" as if I was in a free truck stop except I was being charged. In the morning the manager was somewhat apologetic and said they would have someone look into the faulty voltage but offered no partial refund or even a free coffee as compensation. I've learned never to waste my time talking or negotiating with morons so just accepted it as a lesson learned and would pass this on to other travelers who might be tempted to stay at this place. My advice is avoid it at all costs. And invest the money in a good surge protector, modern RV's have a lot of expensive electronics and frying them with faulty power will not be covered by any warranty. UPDATE: Because of convenience decided to try them a second time. Staff this time was friendly, they had my reservation, and the bathrooms incredibly clean. In fact best rest rooms and showers I have come across in an RV Park. So I am upgraded my review from a 1 to a 3 read more

We stayed here for a couple of months and enjoyed the experience just fine. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and courteous. When we arrived, we were escorted around the place to pick the best site for us. The laundry room is clean and reachable and accessible 24/7. The bathhouses are okay...a little dirty at times, but that happens when a lot of people are using them regularly. The bath house up top requires you to press the water button every 15-20 seconds, which can be a real hassle. I'm sure it's from someone who used it regularly without shutting off the water, so now everyone else has to suffer for it. The bath house at the bottom of the camp is much better and doesn't have the water shutting off. The pool was nice and refreshing and a good amenity, as was the secured entry and exiting from the park. The staff keep the place clean and neat and free of trash and debris. The store is convenient for last minute or forgotten items and it's open until 9 p.m. We did have quite a time with bugs -- but that isn't the fault of the staff, rather the fact that you are in the woods and, hey...bugs happen. But we did have quite a struggle with roaches, ants, and, worst of all...fruit flies. Just be prepared if you stay longer that you will have to deal with such uninvited pests and plan ahead. The campground is conveniently located three miles off I-95 and it's a quick 15-20 minute drive to downtown Savannah. Five stars for the staff, four for the location, and three overall. read more

The park looked good but I didn't have the chance to experience it. I made a reservation and I think someone made a mistake, maybe it was me or maybe it was them never the less I arrived on April 27 for 4 days but the reservation was in the book for May 1 for 4 days. The park had no room, it is understanding, I tried to get a refund for someone mistake maybe mine or them we will never find out. As far I'm concerned I think they need more money then me, so the can shove it where you know what! I'm a full timer traveling all over USA and Canada and never encounter such a BS. Nothing fancy that we saw about this campground but it serves as a good place to hook up the camper and go explore Savannah. Live Oaks and Spanish Moss: We enjoyed staying at this campground amongst the tall Live Oaks adorned with Spanish Moss. The staff were helpful with local information and even escorted us to our site and helped us pull through. The bathrooms were newly renovated and there was a large laundry. The park is 30 minutes from Savannah but there's nothing of much quality any closer to the historic district. The kids really enjoyed the playground which was centrally located. read more

This park in photos appears very attractive and could be. Staff are friendly but the experience was not satisfactory. We booked 10 weeks in advance and were scheduled for a week. We requested the 1-50 site area but were told we'd be in site 80. That's right by 204 highway. We requested not being near the highway since it would be a week's visit, and were told that it's not used very often. That was our first mistake. Traffic is constant except 11pm - 6 am. Our view was the highway and watching traffic, not what we expect for outdoor camping adventures. Then when pulling into our site, the previous occupant and dumped their trash in the driveway. The staff don't clean up after vacating guests, so it's up to you. We requested to be moved to another site but they told us they were all booked up. That wasn't the case in my daily dog walks around the park. And if you're expecting WiFi, forget it. The only way to get WiFi is to use the space in the exercise room. Streaming isn't allowed, but anyone that can gets a signal and can stream is misusing it and as a result I couldn't get WiFi to work in this park except our last day because only 20% of the park was occupied. If you want to visit the park, bathrooms are clean, lots of laundry equipment, but if you're here for anymore than an overnight visit, demand to be at the back end of the park or find another RV park. read more

After a horrible day of bad weather, a breakdown and traffic backups... we were then faced with the stress of being told no way would they make an exception and allow a late check in! This is a rustic campground. It is located in a nice shaded area that is adjacent to a wetlands area. They have a boat ramp. The sites were fairly level, but just dirt plots really. It is about on par with other campgrounds in the area, not measurably better or worse. Price is high for the value received. read more

This is a very nice campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. The lots are pull thru and level and had nice shade. The pool was fantastic! I was told the showers were clean with lots of hot water. It's also a nice drive to downtown Savannah and Tybee Island. I recommend Savannah Oaks. read more

This campground is a 3 at best. If you are staying a couple of days to visit Savannah it will be ok. If you are staying longer and anticipate hanging around the site sometimes, this is not the place. great spot to spend a nite or two while traveling thru, the check in process was fine and the 2 ladies were friendly, there is a convenience store on property, so if you get the munchies or forgot something to help out with cooking u can grab it, about 3 miles off i 95, sandy grass , hilly not flat, gives you a real woods trees camping experience, we got a site where our sat. tv can connect, not all sites are free from the trees. i did not use the shower restrooms because we have our own in our motorhome, pool looked busy yesterday, maybe today we will go in. all in all, i would stay here again if traveling thru the georgia i95 corridor. read more

I give this place zero stars. I called around noon and asked if they had availability for a van to camp for one night. They said "yes" and I drove from North Carolina down here. Once I got here at 8:30 pm, they informed me that they only take "factory made" RVs, not vans that have been outfitted with electricity etc. They did not tell me this when I called and said the best they can do is give me a refund of my nonrefundable payment that I'd paid earlier. How thoughtful, considering it's too late to make a reservation anywhere else and I can't stay in a hotel. Stay away...there's plenty of other campgrounds around here. read more

This was just about the worst campground I have ever stayed at. Starting at the entrance where there is a hole big enough to bend an 8 K axle to the filthy facility that is loaded with red ant mounds (watch your pets) to the snakes that the staff warned us about. Both poisonous and not. Bath houses were filthy, The sites are so small I couldn't open my awning. The bugs are so bad you can't sit outside without being eaten alive. The location is good, about 3 miles from Rt 95 but there are much nicer places to stay just a few miles north. The staff is very unfriendly but I think that is because of the manager who seems totally uninterested in the guests. Upon arrival I had to wait about 15 minutes for my "escort" to show me my camp site. An idiot could have found it without her and then she could have finished reading her magazine she was so engrossed in. Never again in this one. That's what truck stops are for. read more
